NO, not me - but our first child. Just can't believe it, how can it be? HOW?

kittylester Thu 26-Jan-23 06:42:36

(Hugs) to everyone who has lost a child at whatever age.

My DD will be 58 this year and DS 52. ….Good grief.

Kim19 Thu 26-Jan-23 04:27:00

Yes, had dinner with my 'becoming 50 this year' baby last night. He just kept laughing and said it couldn't possibly be true. Long may that feeling persist.

💐 another for you, Maw.

nanna8 Thu 26-Jan-23 01:42:23

I’ve got a 50 year old, too. Plus a 49 year old and a 45 year old . Our youngest is 42. Time doesn’t just fly, it zooms !

veejay Thu 26-Jan-23 01:38:26

My eldest is 61, next one 60 daughter is 58,, but looks more like 40 and twins 50
I was only saying a few days ago.where had time gone
I will be 80 in 3 weeks time.but in general, and most people think I am younger.but good genes I think anyway I don't feel it.except first thing in a morning trying to get out of bed
My mother always looked younger than her age,and people thought she was more like late 60s when she was in her 80s
It's scary. Time seems to go very fact there days

I would have given anything to have celebrated my DD’s 50th.

She died a week before it.

Hetty58 Thu 26-Jan-23 00:03:52

My eldest is 44 - and no, I can't quite believe it. It means that I'm officially geriatric and I have to accept that now. It's tough!

Hellogirl1 Wed 25-Jan-23 23:40:39

My youngest is 51, the oldest is 59, with 56 and 58 in between. David, who died a few weeks ago, would have been 53. Makes me feel like Methusalah!

henetha Wed 25-Jan-23 23:30:56

Oh, Maw. I'm sorry. 💐

henetha Wed 25-Jan-23 23:29:27

My sons are 62 and 58. My eldest grandchild is 33. Frightening isn't it!

Zoejory Wed 25-Jan-23 23:01:17

So sad, Maw

Mine have 20 years between them. I was very young when I had my first and rather old when I had my 5th!

maw my heart is with you. x

Redhead56 Wed 25-Jan-23 22:15:58

Maw my heart goes out to you I cannot imagine what you went through.
I had to wait a while before starting my family. My son was born when I was 31 after a difficult pregnancy. My daughter arrived three years later. Now in their thirties I don't know where the time has gone. They are the love of my life as are my three little GDs.

MiniMoon Wed 25-Jan-23 22:02:59

My daughter has celebrated her 40th birthday this month.
Later this year my son is 38. Where have all the years gone?

Mine are well spaced out, one will be forty nine this year, one thirty one and one in the middle.
The oldest doesn’t seem anything like forty nine, she looks youthful, goes clubbing with her friends and older children, and is constantly gadding around the country going to gigs and festivals., seems that fifty is the new twenty.

Jimjam1 Wed 25-Jan-23 21:55:13

Kitty same as you. Oldest 52. Younger one 36. Dealing with 2 generations. Love my boys so much.

M0nica Wed 25-Jan-23 21:49:14

I know, I had mine late as well, Callistemon

Callistemon21 Wed 25-Jan-23 21:31:27

Someone a bit younger than me said to me yesterday "I expect all your DC are in their fifties too"

Well, no, they're not!

Callistemon21 Wed 25-Jan-23 21:29:47

I did have an inkling last year when DC1 was 49.
wink
And to think I was an elderly primigravida too 😲

Our eldest is 52 this year but I prefer to dwell on our youngest who is a mere 36.
