He was a blind date set up by my best friend.
I thought I was going to a pub with just her. When we got there he was outside with a few of his friends.
I got introduced and it was love at first sight. This was in 1971.
He left in January 1987 for someone he worked with. Divorced 1991.

I was setting my sights on his best friend, who I didn’t know was engaged to someone else. To get me off his back, he set me up on a blind date with DH. The rest is history!

Met DH online in 2009 - although it can be a minefield, I would recommend it!

It was an English speaking site, but we were both living in France at that time.

How/where did you meet your husband?

I met mine in 2008 via on-line dating. We've been happy ever since. Funnily enough my eldest son met his wife on the same site. I would always say it's not for everyone and extreme caution should be used especially with all the nasty scammers/weirdo people around.

I was talking to a lady on Ancestry about this topic and she told me she got her husband out of the paper (guess she meant something like a lonely hearts column) but it sounded so funny !!
