Hi 👋 to nonnadiana and welcome
Fingers crossed gMattie sounds promising
I’m off to see DD2 and the DGC this morning and them I’ll pop into town to have a quick browse around the shops. Will hopefully catch up with DD1 and DS by facetime over the weekend too and get the latest news.
Hoping lunch goes well today llfl with no incidents!
Sounds like a lovely celebration kitty a lovely thing to do
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. A dull dry day forecast with a high of 7.

grandMattie good luck with your second viewing today.

Beechnut enjoy your wedding and Kitty your gathering at your daughters.
Hope everyone meeting family and friends today have a lovely time making memories💐

We have our daughter coming over with the little ladies after GDs jujitsu class and they’ll probably stay for lunch I’ll make a frittata. We are looking after GS for a couple of hours this afternoon as Son is going to see Hull city play. He’s taking his ex partner’s nephew with him. GSs mum will pick him up from us as she is having him for the rest of the weekend. We still have quite a good relationship with her.

I bought my first couple of bunches of daffodils yesterday they really cheer me up and I feel spring is on his way.
Have a lovely Saturday everyone. 🌻🌻

Good morning from the South Downs. Not sure of the weather, but I think it will be dry today.

Oh modernism - just up my street maw. Was it just women artists for viewing? Looks like it from the photo.

Had my hair cut yesterday, and my hairdresser was describing how unhappy and unsettled her son is now after all the dreadful stuff coming out from the Met. He is a Met policeman.
Apparently the latest horror (I don’t read the ins and outs as I find it too upsetting) was his boss for the time, and he said that he had absolutely no idea.

Today is a day for gardening if it isn’t too cold. I want to sweep and weed all the paved terraces and then start on the climbers. That might be a bit ambitious though. Yesterday I popped into the. Garden centre to get some decorative bark but I couldn’t lift it, so it will have to be delivered.

Ceiling due to be started on Monday. Hooray!!

Aubergine and red pepper parmigiana for dinner.

Enjoy your day one and all. 4 weeks and a couple of days to spring🐣

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey looking corner of Somerset. Looks like heavy cloud, feels cold

Mr C has to return for more eye testing on Monday, it seems one part had an unclear outcome. I’m trying not to worry about it. He’s 80 very soon, as he couldn’t come up. with anything he needed or wanted for a gift I snuck off and booked a surprise day out he’ll enjoy later in the year.

We’re on taxi duty for one of ours this morning. Talk about the clock turning back. He lives over an hour and a half away but uses a specialist 15 miles from us for adaptations to the VW he is turning into a camper van. As these places seem to be it’s out in the countryside. Could we collect him from there this morning and take him to the station? Of course we could. We’ll have lunch together before he catches a train home. No idea what we’ll do after that.

Take care everyone. Hope Saturday is kind to us all.

Good morning from Shropshire.

I have an X-ray this morning then we will pop into town.I then hope for a peaceful couple of hours before DD drops the children off for an overnight stay.

My mum has gone to stay with my brother for a few days and it is so nice to know someone else is with her and we don’t have to worry about her.

Enjoy your celebration kitty.

I remember mum making those little chicks baubles🐣

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Our gardener is coming early to finish off pruning the rose on the back of the house. She spent three hours on it the other day. We planted it over twenty years ago and she reckons it’s the oldest rose she has worked on. I am meeting my friend who has melt downs in restaurants for lunch! She was ok the last time. Younger son is home for the weekend and wants to cook lasagne for dinner. That’s fine. Have a good day.

Morning Mick and all

Well the 3 & 5 yr old have just woken up, I best take the vitamins to get through the day 🤣🤣🤣

Was your subsidence work guaranteed grandMattie ? That should reassure any prospective buyer, I will keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Beechnut Sat 28-Jan-23 07:32:47

Good Morning everyone from Severnside where sunrise is creeping up.
I like the sound of sunshine filling your house dragonfly.

We are off over the river to Welsh Wales today for a wedding so looking forward to a lovely day.

Have good day all 🦩💐🎉

Good morning from Colchester where a dry 5 degrees is forecast.
Out early to DD1s to help them move stuff into their newly built garage so that they can begin renovating the inside of the newly extended house. Hopefully I'll be keeping the 6 year old entertained and on tea making duty.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning all from a dark and chilly North Leicestershire.

DD2 and family will be here before lunch before we all go to DD1's for a tea and cake celebration for the people who have supported her while she has been having cancer treatment.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Nonnadiana Sat 28-Jan-23 07:26:46

baubles Sat 28-Jan-23 07:26:40

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire. It’s dark still but dry and cold as far as I can tell.

Enjoy the gig Nankate, we saw them a couple of months ago on the Scottish leg of the tour, it was such an entertaining evening

No real plans today, I’m making little Easter chicks to hold crème eggs so I’ll probably get on with those.

Wishing everyone the best day possible and hope all the grans who are struggling have an easier day.

Nonnadiana Sat 28-Jan-23 07:23:09

Good morning from glasgow bit cold here about 4degrees though it should get up to seven by lunchtime. Recovering from mouth infection. Face not as swollen

dragonfly46 Sat 28-Jan-23 07:22:28

Good morning from dark Leicestershire.

Went to Lidl to buy plants for my terrarium yesterday as they were going cheap and bought some very cheap daffodils. My house is now filled with sunshine.

Changing beds today and hoping I can hang the sheets out.

Wishing everyone a good day.

MawtheMerrier Sat 28-Jan-23 07:08:24

Good morning all - it seems very dark out but I think I’ll leave checking on the weather for a bit! I had an amazing night - I can’t believe I have slept straight through for over 7 hours!
Tired after a day at the Royal Academy with sister in law , at the Making Modernism exhibition. We had intended to do the Hispanic Art one too, but there was coffee to be drunk, and lunch to eat plus a lot of catching up to do and and why cram too much into one day?
The trains were relatively uncrowded for a Friday night too so my journey home was easy. But Central London moves at a different pace doesn’t it? #countrybumpkin
No plans for today - but I wish you all a peaceful and kindly one.

Ashcombe Sat 28-Jan-23 06:54:48

Good morning from a cloudy Sarthe.

It felt a bit less cold yesterday when we ventured into the garden for a trudge round for some exercise. But I think you are wise to keep in the warm, Mick, much as you enjoy going out.

Fingers crossed for the second viewing, grandMattie; I guess you prefer to let the agent take care of them. The right buyer is out there somewhere.

You’re doing well, karmalady! Enjoy your nostalgic concert, NanKate! These bands and singers from the Sixties seem to keep going well.

Happy weekend, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

NanKate Sat 28-Jan-23 06:42:44

Morning Mick and All.

Dark and chilly in South Bucks.

Off to our local theatre tonight to see Paul Jones of Manfred Mann and Dave Kelly of The Blues Band. Should be a good evening. Paul is 80 but still going strong.

Hope all goes well with the house viewing grandMattie.

karmalady Sat 28-Jan-23 06:16:33

Good morning. S somerset is chilly, dark and dry

Yum buttermints. I would have to think hard to avoid chewing with filling removal consequence

GM your body is saying to have a rest time, just do what you absolutely need to do. Fingers crossed re the viewing, it does sound promising

I was on my feet the whole day yesterday, satisfying things done. Not too much planned today, just bike prep as I want to start going out next week, if the temperature holds up

grandMattie Sat 28-Jan-23 06:06:29

Good morning from a dark, chilly e Kent.
Enjoy your mints, Mick.
I had a surprise viewing yesterday midday from a young couple DFL (down from London 😂). They want another one first thing this morning. I need to vacate before 0900. They are OK about the minor but significant subsidence we had some five years ago. It is a big sticking point, I’m afraid. 🤞🤞🤞
Busy day yesterday, morning walk, then lunch out (and viewing), then Philip’s girlfriend to dinner and collect the cakes I made for her.
I’m not tone ant good today as I had a rubbish night. Just visit friend in nursing home, and start sorting DH’s cr.p recently discovered in a cubby hole - his domain!
Have a good day all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩

Michael12 Sat 28-Jan-23 05:59:31
