I used to ride around the village with my cousin’s pet mice in my bike bag. I must’ve been about 8. My mother was horrified when she realised the ‘water’ in the bike bag was mouse-wee.

I've just remembered we used to push my friend's dog around in her doll's pram that only had three wheels. I wouldn't let her put it in mine in case it weed itself. A girl brought her pet rabbit to school in her jumper because, at the end of term, we could take a game.

Neither, but we did used to put a girl’s little corgi in the boot of her tricycle (no lid.) when we played outside in the mid ‘50s. We were probably aged 5 or 6. The dog cane everywhere with us.
