Good morning from North Yorkshire. Another bright dry day after a lovely sunrise.
I need to pop to town this morning. My walking shoes are at the menders for some stitching.
After that exercise and charity admin.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a very frosty Essex.
We had clear deep blue skies yesterday so hoping for the same today.

Not much planned today apart from dog walking.

GrannySomerset Tue 07-Feb-23 08:24:41

Very frosty and misty this morning and I am glad to have no plans apart from bed changing and not getting under the feet of my wonderful cleaner. After a busy day yesterday I am quite glad not to have too much on the agenda but there is always a little job if I feel so moved. Spring feels quite a long way off while it is so cold and the garden seems to have become stuck in winter mode, but if the mist clears it will seem quite different.

Grammaretto Tue 07-Feb-23 08:21:11

Sorry you had a poor night Marydoll.
I hope you can enjoy the company this weekend and being spoiled. Sending hugs

Jaxjacky Tue 07-Feb-23 08:16:14

Morning from -2, clear and frosty in S Hampshire. I had a rude client on my volunteer phone yesterday, unusual, most people are very grateful. MrJ has three more nurse visits for now, just hoping the infection stays away.
Bills to pay today, deliberate what to eat tonight and ring my brother.
Enjoy your day 🦩🦩

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey and cloudy, no frost though as it’s about 6º and we’ve rain forecast for later
We’ll be helping DD2 with the after school activities this evening and taking DGD to her dance and choir classes. As the choir class is quite close to our house she’s asked to come back here tonight for a sleepover - of course I said yes!
Hope the dentist appt goes ok Susan never enjoyable - hope you get a rest later
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Grammaretto Tue 07-Feb-23 08:07:37

Here's the view from my bedroom window

Grammaretto Tue 07-Feb-23 08:05:28

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
A tropical 6° here and quiet.
I daren't risk planting seeds yet except perhaps wild flowers.
A zoom meeting this morning and I'm doing a shift at the community store this afternoon.

Enjoy your swim Beechnut it's not wild swimming is it? grin
Sorry you have a new worry Baubles

I used to call myself Cinders fancythat I hope the Ball goes well and Prince Charming behaves well or do you turn onto a pumpkin at midnight?

I posted some money to the Turkish earthquake disaster teams but feel helpless.

Take care in the ice those in the South.

Marydoll Tue 07-Feb-23 08:02:13

Good morning all, from a cloudy Glasgow, where it's 7°C. Fancythat, I use Alexa for the weather, too much of an effort to get out of bed, (stiff joints) to look out. She is very obliging.
I've noticed you on other threads, but not here, so welcome.

Mick, I hope you got the confusion over the pre-op assessment sorted yesterday.

Baubles and Corner, Fingers crossed, you get some clarification. I always find those types of call very unsettling Baubles.
It's good for the specialists to have a look. My GP had misinterpreted my blood results, which is partly why I ended up in hospital.

I've had a very restless night, dreaming I was back at school, after retiring, due ill health. The boss kept giving me the cold shoulder, because she didn't want me there. sad It was horrible!

Today, I'm doing nothing. Yesterday, I felt reasonably well, when I got up, but my BP and heart rate went sky high and the dizziness returned. I eventually fell asleep for two hours.
It was absolutely nothing to do with *Mr MD's decorating efforts, 😉 it will just take time, before things settle.
I asked him to leave it, until I felt better, but we have a family celebration here on Saturday and he insisted on doing it.
For the first time ever, I have capitulated, the ladies of the family, DĎ and DiLs will be doing the catering.
I shall sit in my chair and pretend to be the queen. For how long, do you think I will manage that?. 😉

Best wishes to all, who are poorly, enjoy your day folks.

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 07-Feb-23 07:59:13

Oops it went too soon. That is church!
Have the best day possible folks

monk08 Tue 07-Feb-23 07:58:59

Good morning from a frosty Black country-3°.
Yesterday turned out lovely and sunny, washing dried and I spent a couple of hours tidying the garden.
Today I have a dental check up.
Curry in slow cooker for tea.
Enjoy your Tuesday whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 07-Feb-23 07:57:58

Good morning all from frosty Harrogate. Again the sky is beautiful with streaks of pink clouds.
Today I go to my art club in the morning come home for a run round the table and back out to a ladies club in the churc

Gingster Tue 07-Feb-23 07:57:51

Good morning all and yes it’s frosty and Misty here is Essex.

Yesterday was a beautiful day and warm in the sun. Dh went fishing and enjoyed it. I walked up to town and got lots of this and that!

My painting by numbers has arrived and oh my goodness I will need a magnifying glass to see the numbers and it will take me heaven knows how long to complete. 😢. I think this will have to be a family effort. Little gd’s set look a bit easier but not much. 😤. I read all the reviews and took my time choosing but …… never mind!

Today I have Bridge club. We have to be there earlier to watch a video of the standard ‘rules’. Things have got a little lax and too much fun and laughter is being had 🤭😂.

Have a good day ! 🤞

Nannagarra Tue 07-Feb-23 07:57:31

Good morning from bright and dry Sefton.
Roofing is complete and looks good. If anyone in Lancashire needs a firm recommendation I’m more than happy to supply it. Next week we’re having new internal doors. Meanwhile I continue to declutter - something I seem to have been doing for a very long time. Do items multiply when I turn my back? That must be the case.
Have the best day possible everyone.

Susan56 Tue 07-Feb-23 07:42:22

Good morning from Shropshire.A chilly misty start but sun forecast later.

I have a dental appointment this morning which I always find very stressful.I have always had a fear of going to the dentist.Just attending the appointment will exhaust me so I will probably fall asleep when I get home.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

ginny Tue 07-Feb-23 07:40:49

Good morning from a frosty N Bucks. Hopefully we will get another clear blue day.
We have to gear Mother in Law to both a doctor and dental appointment today. In between we will take her to see DD3s new house and have homemade soup and bread for lunch.

Wishing you all a good day with some sunshine and smiles.

Beechnut Tue 07-Feb-23 07:35:13

Good Morning everyone from frosty Severnside. You’re all up and about this morning.

I’m going swimming this morning. I don’t feel like it but as I haven’t been for several weeks I should get back to it or I will be cross with myself and I did remember to cover the car windscreen in preparation.

Have a good day all and I’ll go back and read 🌺

baubles Tue 07-Feb-23 07:32:01

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s currently not raining or frosty.

I have an early appointment for blood tests as I have had a letter from my surgeon saying she wants my scans reviewed by a specialist team in one of the Glasgow hospitals. Hmmm.

DH is going to help DSiL with a diy project today so I’ll have an empty for a while. I will relax and crochet as the rest of the week will be busy.

I hope the poorly people have an easier day.

Have the best day possible everyone.

cornergran Tue 07-Feb-23 07:26:39

Morning Mick, morning All. A look out the window tells me it’s frosty and mist is coming down, I can see much less than I did ten minutes ago. -1 apparently, not that I’ve been out to check.

We wandered to a marina for a walk in yesterdays very welcome sunshine. Thoroughly enjoyed it, along with some lunch. Phone call to our worried friend in the afternoon then catching up with tv for a while.

Today will be less enjoyable. A budget meeting this morning, always tetchy. Mr C has a call due from the hospital, we’re a bit edgy after the last letter and it will be useful to ask some questions. Grocery delivery to follow and that’s our day - as far as we know now.

Stay warm everyone. Look after yourselves. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

BlueBalou Tue 07-Feb-23 07:25:03

Good morning, another frosty start here - I can see it on the cars parked in the road under the streetlight Fancythat, the front lawns are white too 😊. My phone says -4° here in Wiltshire.
Gardening went well yesterday, plans have been made, plants moved and two dead hebes dug up. Rather chuffed actually but I completely overdid it, stupid me. Was completely wiped out by early evening and had a poor night 🙄. When will I learn!
Never mind, quiet day today. I do have a bit more tidying to do, nothing too strenuous.
My lovely garden helper really is a start.
Have a lovely day everyone, I’m hoping for more sunshine 🌞

Pittcity Tue 07-Feb-23 07:22:55

Good morning from chilly Colchester. The bright moon is still high in the light grey sky.
7°, dry with some sun forecast.
Charity shop volunteering today as it's Tuesday.
DH managed to fix the dishwasher yesterday so he's in my good books.
Love to all 🦩 x

GrannyGravy13 Tue 07-Feb-23 07:16:46

Morning all

It is grey and 3° here in my little corner of S E Essex. DD has forgotten to sort party bags for the 7yr olds birthday party tomorrow so that will be my job today (she is at work today)

Other than that my wardrobe is still in need of a sort out, something I have been putting off since Christmas.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

harrigran Tue 07-Feb-23 07:16:42

Good morning from a dry NE where it is 3 degrees.
Woken at 6.50 by a text message on my phone.
Spent yesterday catching up with TV especially Happy Valley, I knew that if I didn't do it quickly there would be spoilers all over the internet.
Nothing planned for today, maybe look at some recipes so I can compile a shopping list for tomorrow.
Have a good day.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 07-Feb-23 07:10:46

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It’s just about light -1 degree with a beautiful full moon.

My usual Tuesday routine. Lovely chat with the ladies at coffee morning and GS pick up after school.

Have a good day everyone.
