FANCYTHAT, another one here who checks the weather app. In Co Durham it’s currently 3 degrees and dry.
Nothing planned for today, but out this evening to meet up with a group of friends in out local Community Centre (which has a bar 😀).
Mustget dressed as dgd will be arriving shortly and is sure to demand breakfast before we walk to school.
Have the best day everyone, I’ll read all your news later.

Good morning all from North Leicestershire. It is a little misty and a cold 0° - I looked out of the window to see what it looked like and checked Alexa for the temp.

Not a lot going on here for me but DH is volunteer driving.

Sausage and mash tonight.

Good morning from the South Downs. -1c and misty here. Brr. Shall wrap up when trogging out in a bit.

Still ceilingless! The man was supposed to contact me yesterday to arrange to start replacing it. Nothing! I emailed - no reply. Today I shall phone.

Going to pull all the furniture out in the conservatory today and clean and scrub ready for the coming season, which won’t be long. The shades go up in April 🌞🌞. Then gardening if time.

Everyone seems ok apart from the odd irritation which is good, so enjoy another late winters day everyone.

Shepherds Pie with broccoli and swede for dinner.

Morning all from a frosty West Oxfordshire - I looked out of the window but won’t be getting up for at least another hour! It is the WI Coffee Social today, which is always a hoot. Then I have an appointment at SpecSavers to collect my new glasses - two pairs for the price of one. I have bits of admin too. Tonight I will try my new soup maker again. Chicken and sweetcorn maybe. OH will be out this evening at his Beekeeping lecture so I think I’ll be mainly reading. I have to reread the ‘Go Between’ for my Book Group. My sister in Australia emailed me her itinerary for her visit in April! She is very efficient and has already arranged visits to various people. My brother is also coming but he just let me know his flight times! Have a good day.

Good morning from DD2'S house in North Kent. Yesterday I spent the day looking after 5 year old DGD, who has an ear infection, whilst the others went to SIL'S mothers funeral.
It was a long day as DH and I left home at 6.30 to make sure we were here in time, think M25 in rush hour !!
DD2 will try and get a doctor's appointment for DGD today, we think antibiotics are probably needed.
I also heard some worrying news about my eldest brother yesterday.
Not sure what we will be doing today.
DD2 needs to drive DGD1 to school, SIL will be going to spend time with his dad. I think now the funeral is over they can all relax a bit.
Have the best Tuesday everyone xx

Thank you all very much! Phew.
You are all being very kind.

Good morning from a chilly Sarthe.

Here it doesn’t get light until nearly 8.00a.m. local time but I have a weather app on my phone which I use to check the weather, fancythat.

We were planning to do a long overdue sorting out of DH’s paperwork today but he’s been invited to go for a walk with the cleaner. It would be too fast and too far to include me, apart from too cold! She likes to bend his ear about her troubles of the heart, the home or the three sons, all teenagers!

I hope today is kind to all. You’re wise to stay in the warm, Mick. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Don’t worry fancythat, I’m in west Kent where I know it’s very frosty as I peeped through the curtains at 5.35 and viewed a street full of frosty car roofs. I’m so lucky to have a bright street light outside of my bedroom window! A nothingish day ahead preparing for a week’s house sit, with the happiest of dogs, in a nearby village. No distracting street lights there! Have a lovely day everyone.

Fancythat I just look at the weather app on my phone. At the moment where I am, in the South, it's - 3 and misty. smile

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 7° and dry. Georgesgran that sounds wearing. A good night's sleep awaits you tonight. Fancythat no need to apologise. Karmalady fingers crossed everything is sorted.
Yesterday was a lovely day with the boys. Dgs2 was in such a happy mood and very cuddly. Dgs1 was his usual chatty self. I was very tired last night.
Today will be a repeat, only I didn't have to get up quite as early. The last of the steak casserole for dinner. Have a good day all of

No delete button or edit facilities, fancythat
I look out of the window when making my early cuppa and, although living in a small town, if I see stars or the moon, it is clear.if not, no.if raining….

fancythat Tue 07-Feb-23 06:33:40

I think I need to apologise.
My posts could be read wrongly.
Not doubting anyone. It was just me being curious.
There is no delete button on this site is there?!

Good morning, s somerset will be sunny and bright today

It has been a very stressful busy few days here, the sort of stress that makes my mind whizzy. I have had a maintenance job, which I have thankfully finished, apart from the tidy up after things have dried out. My two neighbours checked theirs and both have major problems in the loft

I had been planning to quietly sew a warm hooded top but I was too jittery for that. I made two covers instead, for magimix accessory boxes that are on show in my kitchen

I may well take the covers off my two wooden benches now as the very wet season seems to be over and I will start to sort a keter garden store. I don`t need all the `just in case ` stuff in there. Outdoor doings beckon me today

All the best to everyone

Had a look back at yesterday's Good Morning Monday.
Someone mentioned frost at 7am. Perhaps I could see that at 7am here, without stepping outside? Not sure. Perhaps as I live far South, and rural we are darker for longer. And I dont venture out until at least light normally.
Never mind me. Just musing really.

fancythat Tue 07-Feb-23 06:12:48

Good morning from down South.
No idea what the weather is. It is cold again though and could be frosty like it was yesterday morning, once I could see.
I am baffled as to how you all know the weather until dawn is breaking? But I live very rural, so perhaps that must be the difference?
Housework for me.
I have been calling myself cinders for the past few weeks. I get to go to the Ball[family party, partly hosted by me], this weekend. Definitely not a real Ball though!

grandMattie Tue 07-Feb-23 06:00:10

Good morning from a clear, moonlit E Kent. No cloud, just a little mist, which will I doubt thicken before being burned off by the sun later.
I spent the morning cleaning and vacuuming, managing to reverse the direction of two rugs.
I then spent the afternoon putting the edging on that quilt. It’s very nearly finished, requiring a bit of hand sewing. It’ll be done today.
T’ai chi this morning and coffee with the girls after.
I hope today goes well for everyone, with only nice surprises. Carpe diem/horam. 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

Georgesgran Tue 07-Feb-23 06:00:04

Good morning from a dark Newcastle. I’m staying at DD2s. The bedroom’s far too hot and the memory foam mattress is awful. Can’t wait to get up, but don’t want to disturb her, DGS2 or the dog. Home later and might have to treat myself to an early night.
Best wishes to all. X
