Good Morning Everyone ,
Its dark outside and signs of fog as well here in brackley .
Today , I do not feel 100% as I had a bad case of diarrhea, which has effected my system ,a case of laundry day today and clean up for me and forget any trip out.

Mick

Good morning from foggy, frosty Leicestershire, I cannot see my beloved hill!

Walking with the neighbours this morning then Scrabble with friends this afternoon.

Hope you feel better soon Mick and Ashcombe what lovely neighbours you have.
Safe travelling grandMattie.

Good morning from a misty Suffolk which hopefully will clear soon. An earlier than usual start for me as a dear friend is having a charity lunch at her farmhouse today….soup and pud with donations for the NSPCC.

It is by invitation and she is expecting 18 and I have offered to help with setting up,tables etc. she is a wonderful cook and has been working all weekend and yesterday making 3 different soups and 4 puddings.

Hope those under the weather feel better as the day progresses, those travelling have problem free journeys and all have a pleasant day.

Good morning from Glasgow where it is 6deg. with a beautiful crimson sunrise.

Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️
I did a small Waitrose shop yesterday and couldn’t resist their offer of two pots of small indoor Iris and 3 pots of lemon hollyhocks which will be planted out when it’s safe to do so.
Moussaka for dinner and I have a notion to make cherry clafoutis for pudding. It’s years since I last made it so fingers crossed!

The lovely checkout lady I always enjoy a blether with but hadn’t seen for a while told me last week her husband had died last December. Yesterday we were lamenting the fact that we both miss gardening at this time of year and I gave her one of the Iris pots.

Best wishes to all for a good day and a better day for those coping with worrying times.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’m up early again and the decorator is already working away. OH is still in bed - his various medications mean he can’t really do anything until around noon. I will catch up on laundry and read. OH has his beekeeping class tonight so I will watch the rest of ‘Now Voyager’ which I recorded. OH said he can’t watch weepies! Have a good day whoever you are.

Abitbarmy Tue 14-Feb-23 08:11:33

Good morning all from a foggy North Yorkshire. Hoping the promised sun arrives as meeting up with 2 old friends and colleagues in a nature park for a long walk and catch up this morning. Didn’t sleep particularly well last night, must have a good one tonight as DGd day tomorrow followed by a sleepover and very early start most likely Thursday. How she gets by on so little sleep and so much energy is beyond me. Waiting for DH to make an effort and get up and make sandwiches as I’ve already done the dishwasher, washing away tidied round etc etc. we don’t do Valentines but a helping hand would be lovely! Enjoy your day if you are up to it everyone.

Urms love Matt this morning😂

Good morning Mick and All.

Grey day in South Bucks but the sun is due for a little later on.

Sorry you are unwell Mick you can buy from any supermarket or chemist a pack of 6 diarrhoea tablets for about £1 you just take one and it should settle things down.

GrandmaBatty I do feel for you with your difficult day with Grandchild. Our eldest DGS was a real trial he would burst into tears or have tantrums at the drop of a hat. He will be 12 on Thursday and what a lovely boy he has become. Hang on in there.

monk08 Tue 14-Feb-23 07:59:46

Good morning all from a foggy Black country, such a difference from yesterday's sunshine.
Mick sorry to hear you are unwell rest and plenty of fluids.
Mattie have a safe journey and enjoy your stay.
Another bag to take to charity shop this decluttering is going quite well.
Happy valentine's day to all.
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone and may you all find some ☀️.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 14-Feb-23 07:58:23

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. This fog appears to be covering a lot of the country.

Sorry you aren’t feeling well Mick💐
Safe journey grandMattie and those on the move today especially in the fog.

Today I need to get my uncles’s shopping, pick up mum and head over to Bridlington to see him. He says he has another date for his cattaract op so that’s the third change of date. If it is that date I can’t take him so he will need to go with a carer. I’ll sort it. He won’t want me to change it because I think he’d rather go with a career rather than bossy me.
Tonight we are looking after the little ladies but we need to be there at tea time so valentines celebration will wait another night though I might buy a dine in for two which we can cook quickly tonight before we go.

Have a good day all and hopefully enjoy the sun when it burns back the fog. 🌻🌻

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve a frosty start to the day and a clear sky. It’s cold but lovely to see the sunshine
Safe travels gMattie and pleased you’re home safely Ash, a kind neighbour indeed!
Hope you’re feeling better soon mick, take it easy
Today we’re helping out with the after school activities, taking DGD to her dance and choir classes and then she’s coming back home with us for a sleepover.
Hoping those looking after DGC today have a good enjoyable day
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Chrissielou Tue 14-Feb-23 07:52:31

A bit of a foggy start here in West Oxfordshire. I'm sure it will soon clear, it was a lovely bright afternoon yesterday and we enjoyed dog walking after work.
DH has gone to work but left me surprise flowers and card for Valentine's Day, he's a good one!
I'm having some family worries with my eldest GC, it's like being a parent again, feel so helpless.
I hope all those who are poorly feel better quickly and those with other burdens to carry, feel lighter today.

Urmstongran Tue 14-Feb-23 07:49:34

Here’s Matt, surprisingly. 😊

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where the rooftops are frosty. Brr! Not going over to see our Yorkshire Lass so a change of plans means I’m joining our teacher daughter in the park late morning. I will pick up two ‘extra hot’ coffees on the way. The Boy Wonder is meeting up with 3 friends for a kick about. L’il Miss wants to cycle round the rose garden paths on the new bike she got for her birthday.

No other plans which is nice. Will choose something from the larder on my way back in for tea tonight. I don’t buy ready meals these days.

Hope your journey to Bristol is enjoyable grandMattie. I assume you’ll be looking at flats to buy this week? Sorry to hear Mick that you’re incapacitated. Staying home and resting with fluids is your best bet. Ashcombe what a lovely neighbour you have, such a welcome home kindness!

Enjoy Tuesday everybody if you can. x

GrannySomerset Tue 14-Feb-23 07:48:57

Clear sky and imminent sunshine I think so should be another lovely day before the promised rain arrives tomorrow. Supermarket trip and wonderful cleaner the main feature of the today so by this evening I shall be rejoicing in having a clean house and a full fridge.

Hope you feel better soon, Mick and that Susan and Grandmabatty have a less strenuous day. Glad Ashcombe is safely home, and wishing granMattie bon voyage and a successful visit to Bristol.

cornergran Tue 14-Feb-23 07:35:57

Morning Mick, morning All from a misty corner of Somerset

Yesterday was wall to wall sunshine, today is forecast to be the same once the mist clears. Mr C is apparently taking me out for breakfast further along the coast, we hope then to have a walk along a different sea front before returning home for our grocery delivery.

Hope you feel better as the day progresses mick. Safe travels grandmattie and all on the move. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 14-Feb-23 07:31:50

Morning all

Mick I hope you are feeling better soon.

We have the 8yr old and The Imp today, not sure what’s on the cards, depends on this most clearing and the temperature rising.

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Wyllow3 Tue 14-Feb-23 07:29:47

Good morning from a clear S Yorks with a deep sunrise.

I slept really badly but have cabin fever so its off to the gym to do what i can with the essential added nattering facilities.

Safe travel gMattie and a lovely day ahead there Greyduster. Phew Susan you are going to be tired despite small delights.

Bests with appointments and for poorlies and enjoy outings, gransnetters.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 14-Feb-23 07:27:17

Good morning from a quiet and sunny South Downs.

Mike hope rest and fluids do the trick, what caused it? Something you ate perhaps.

I am eagerly anticipating all the wardrobe and airing cupboards contents will be return today. What bliss - the bed will be changed without any rush to dry, iron and replace the same sheets and DH will have the choice of more than two outfits - not that it bothers him😄, but he is keen to get a lighter coat back as the one he is wearing is for very cold weather.

Decorators are now coming on Thursday .

So fingers crossed today will be putting everything back into wardrobes and cupboards, changing the bed, putting up curtains etc. the carpet cleaned really well.

Fish and fennel tray bake for dinner.

Keep well everyone

karmalady Tue 14-Feb-23 07:25:08

Good mrorning from s somerset, foggy and I was expecting bright skies and wall to wall sunshine. Oh well

Sorry you are not well Mick and safe pleasant journey GM

Tootling along today, yesterday was very busy again and I ordered a very hardy pretty shrub to fill a space in the front, out of the way in a sheltered spot. Viburnum carlesii aurora. The very cold weather wiped out all my variegated hebe, completely dead. I did get outside yesterday, hoping for the same later, if the sun appears

Pittcity Tue 14-Feb-23 07:22:52

Good morning from a foggy and below freezing Colchester. Sunshine and 12° forecast for later.
DH and I don't do Valentine's Day but I may suggest a takeaway tonight.
Tuesday is charity shop volunteering day (that sentence comes up automatically now!)
Get well soon Mick and love to all 🦩 x

BlueBalou Tue 14-Feb-23 07:14:16

Good morning, it’s a very foggy village on a Wiltshire hill here, I can barely see across the back garden to the woods.
Yesterday was wonderfully sunny and deliciously warm in the sun.
I did some tidying in the garden, the washing dried on the line and it was lovely being outside.
In the afternoon we took DDog to a big parkland nearby for a good walk ( too far for me but hey ho!) then to the vet for her routine 6 month check. He said she was in A1 condition and a lovely dog 😍
Then home and a quiet evening.
Today is more garden tidying, ironing and maybe I will start a small Bargello wall hanging?
Enjoy today x

Grandmadinosaur Tue 14-Feb-23 07:09:38

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. Happy Valentines Day. 💐
It’s a foggy one here.

Today is my usual coffee morning. DH has some people coming to give us quotes for decorating while I’m gone. Later DH and I are going out for lunch at my favourite restaurant near the marina. Looking forward to that.

What a lovely neighbour you have Ash and welcome home.

Hope you feel better soon Mick

Safe journey today GM

Hope today isn’t too taxing Susan and GrandmaBatty

Have a good day everyone.

Beechnut Tue 14-Feb-23 07:06:36

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s misty or foggy and dark.

I’ve decided not to go swimming this morning and will get on with my jobs as I want to get them out of the way early.
My sister in law came with my brother last night as she had a film to show me. It was lovely and gave me leaky eyes.

Sounds like you needed that bottle of wine Grandmabatty 🤣🍷

Look after yourself Mick and safe travels Mattie.

It’s a bittersweet day for me but Happy Valentine’s Day to you all 💖

Ashcombe Tue 14-Feb-23 07:00:55

Sorry, Taichinan: that should have said EkwaNimitee. I do get muddled easily 🙄but I knew it was a clever name!

Grandmabatty Tue 14-Feb-23 06:58:12

Susan I feel your pain!

Ashcombe Tue 14-Feb-23 06:56:33

Good morning, all, from a cloudy but dry Torbay.

Yes, we arrived home safely yesterday afternoon after a busy journey across Hants and Dorset to my beloved Devon! All was fine, if chilly, at my flat and my kind neighbour presented us with a homemade cottage pie and veg plus a pud! We reciprocated with a bottle of Saumur fizz.

Thank you for the supportive messages yesterday about our predicament with Portsmouth Travelodge. In reply to Taichinan: we have travelled overnight on the ferries before but that doesn’t work very well for us in terms of the lateness of boarding, the short night and it being dark for much of the driving, especially in Winter. Usually, an overnight stay at TL guarantees a decent kip and little, if any, night driving.

Back to reality with a blood test this morning followed by a patch test at a local hair salon where I have my first appointment on Thursday.

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone. Take care, Mick, drink and rest plenty. Safe travels, grandMattie. 🦩🥰❤️💐🦩
