Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark as usual but dry , and the days are starting to get lighter earlier as well here in brackley.
Yesterdays stay in with diarrhea worked , I chose to eat little ,and as yet no more stomach upsets.
Today, plan to visit Bicester , if it remains dry for a couple of hours .
Return home ,and relax plus housework .
Take Care,
Mick

That's two days running I've started my day being confronted by details of the state of someone's bowels. Why would anyone inflict this upon others? Keep detail of your bowel explosions to yourself. Please! (Or at least warn in the topic title that it is intimate and medical and gross)

Well GrammyGrammy I'm currently getting investigated in that area for possible cancer, tho most tests have now cleared, why is it OK to talk about hips or breast or...for goodness sake have you had no contact with little children or the very elderly to grasp the facts of life don't come in nice neat packages but poo or are sick....

Taichinan Wed 15-Feb-23 13:10:17

Great sympathy to Megs and Blossoming. Hard times, but let's hope for improvements soon flowersflowers.

Taichinan Wed 15-Feb-23 13:00:55

I found your post offensive grammygrammy. I hope it hasn't upset Mick, who is a stalwart and perhaps not in the best of health at the moment. Think before you type gg.

Jaxjacky Wed 15-Feb-23 12:15:40

Not good Blossoming but im pleased to hear from you and hope you feel a little better every day.

MawtheMerrier Wed 15-Feb-23 11:56:55

Sincere sympathies Megs - flowers`you have been through so much that it is not surprising your body is beginning to protest. Rest and recuperation may be a little time off yet, but if you can do try to rest both your body and your mind. Be kind to yourself and let others share the load flowers

Blossoming Wed 15-Feb-23 11:54:05

Good morning all. I’ve been struggling with neurofatigue lately and have not felt up to posting. I’ve been sleeping most of the time. Thank you Marydoll for your pm, it helped smile

Marydoll Wed 15-Feb-23 11:38:03

Great new, Kalu!

Late, (even for me!), Good Morning from a sunny, after a frosty start, N.,Cambs.,

I join all the genuine, friendly folk on this kindly thread, in sending good wishes to all those with health issues.

Warm thoughts to you all, & today, especially Megs flowers

Good morning from Shropshire.

First off can I say I agree with others that we all support each other on this thread.Mick and others have health issues at the moment and if you can’t share on this friendly morning thread where can you.As Mary says you are not obliged to read😡

We are off to Stafford today to pick our lovely B up from school.Having looked after him weekly for the last two years until he started school in September we don’t see him as much now.We are going on Sunday for his birthday but he was upset and missing us and said he could t wait u til sipunday so we are going over today. We had planned to visit Boscobel House on the way but typically it isn’t open today so we will go for a walk at Cannock Chase instead. When DD and SIL are home from work we will go out for a meal before setting off home.

Grandmabatty I remember a day when M was about 2.I had taken her into town and then she wouldn’t get back in her car seat.45 minutes later total strangers were coming to try and persuade her into the car but she was having none of it.Then two police officers joined in.I phoned SIL to say we would be late home. After about an hour she just calmly sat in the seat and put her arms through the straps🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️Exhausting.

Kalu I remember the relief of an unconditional offer.Well done to your DGD.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

A later good morning from me in Northampton, where the sun 🌞 is shining brightly, but rain is forecast this afternoon. Slept in this morning.

DS came down yesterday and inspected the loft after I had heard loud scratching noises, but could find no sign of wildlife, except for a large wasps nest which he was wary of disturbing, as he didn't know whether it was currently in use. So I have got a man coming tomorrow morning to inspect and hopefully remove it.

Early lunch today, and out to the well-being cafe afterwards, and that's my day.

Jaxjacky Wed 15-Feb-23 09:39:31

So hard for you Megs36, you must be in turmoil 💐

I too think Mick can start his thread, which we’re all grateful for, as he likes.
Plenty of other things for people to do if they’re of a ‘sensitive disposition’.

dragonfly46 Wed 15-Feb-23 09:34:55

I totally agree Marydoll and others. These problems are a part of life, the same as trips to the shop and what you are having for dinner!

It's very rare that this thread is spoiled by such posts. Thank goodness.

There are many on this daily thread, especially in times of sadness, who need the support of vitual friends (some, who have become real life ones).
No-one is obliged nor forced to read this lovely thread.

I for one, am greatful for all the support I have received on here.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. DH and I have booked a lunch out as AC and GC are all away this week, so usual half term help not needed.
Meg36, Marydoll and Ekwa so sorry to read of the health problems when it seems so difficult to get anything done. We have been worried about my DB lately with a potential eye problem. Having finally got to the hospital he has been told it is old age, an expected sort of degeneration.
GG good job you didn't live with my mum who would give me a daily run down of that particular problem!!
Take care everyone.

Totally uncalled for grammymygrammy. As has been said, this is mick’s thread and has been for many years. Surely we choose which threads to be part of, if this one isn’t for you there’s no need to read.

Megs36 Wed 15-Feb-23 08:55:50

Local nurses are
Supposed to come today to look at my ‘elephant ‘ legs,, don’t know where they came from but think it may be several l days ssitting by my dearhusband during his last days in hospital. Last year we’d celebrated our 62 nd anniversary, where did it all go.
Also now cystitis back , I feel I’ll never become remotely normal again, Having lots of help and calls from various places and. Council organisations and carers 3 times a daybut feel someone else lives in my brain, all advice kindly given but can only continue to tryand make my way round with my trusty walking stick.
Next week, starts again with scan and blood test for next cancer check so please 🤞everyone.
Good morning all, sorry for rant. Xxx

And how sad to hear of the young postman Marydoll

EkwaNimitee Wed 15-Feb-23 08:53:45

Good Morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle.

Dear dear! GrammyGrammy Have you got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning? Show a little charity please, we are here to support each other through life's problems.

I will now upset folk or not with telling you I'm a bit down this morning...fed up with my prolapse. No progress with NHS at all. I'll just get on with tasks and try and put it all out of mind but it's not easy.

That was a lovely thing to do Ashcombe and obviously gave you both a lot of pleasure.

I hope the flat viewing goes well grandMattie, good luck.

Today, a bit of housework and some tedious admin, then I might decide on a new book.

Have the best possible day all.

Grandmabatty Wed 15-Feb-23 08:52:54

Grammygrammy this is Mick's thread and he can write what he wants. Nobody makes you read it, so if you don't like the content, pass on by.

Grammaretto Wed 15-Feb-23 08:51:00

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Not so cold but not so sunny.

I am very relieved that NZ family managed to escape from the rising floods and get home safely. They were at a wedding in the cyclone area.

Last night I lit the fire, poured a glass of wine and settled to join our local folk club on zoom.
Plenty of romantic songs were sung in the hall.
I muted myself and got on with my knitting grin

I have a local archivist coming soon to inspect some of DH's collections. I hope she can find a place in the world for them.

I am glad you are better today Mick.
Good luck house hunting or rather, flat viewing, gMattie

It's hard when you have to find somewhere isn't it.

Hope the day goes well.
Marydoll flowers

Georgesgran Wed 15-Feb-23 08:49:24

I hope you were joking GG, but I sense not?
Mick has opened this thread for a long time now and like most of us, writes as if he were speaking to friends, which we are, albeit virtual - that’s what most threads on GN encourage.

Wyllow3 Wed 15-Feb-23 08:47:54

Morning from sunny chilly S Yorks, at least sunny for the morning.

Nothing on the calendar today hurray so will let the day unfold but would be a shame not to get some sun. Botanical Gardens perhaps.

Oh my Taichinan to have the sea so close by! Cant get much further from it where I am.

Good flat hunting gMattie, if that two bedroom is lovely never mind the cost, if you will be happy there... and what sad news postman news there Marydoll

Enjoy GS, Greyduster

I'm having to look out pretty quickly for a new lap top, I like Macs so looking for a good recon with some help.

Stilllearning Wed 15-Feb-23 08:47:06

Morning from S Lanarkshire, no idea what it’s doing outside but hoping for no rain.

What sad and shocking news Marydoll, the biggest cause of death in young men, so terrible. One of my nephews suffers really badly from depression and no one seems to be able to reach through to him. I took a chance recently and gave him the book by Matt Haig, Reasons To Stay Alive.
It’s an amazing book but you just don’t know.

A lovely afternoon yesterday with the siblings of my best pal who died six years ago. They are a big family who have always had regular catch ups and they have been so kind in continuing to include me.

Exercise class today and usual coffee and blether.

Hope you see something you can consider grandMattie, such a big decision.

I feel for you Grandmabatty, toddlers are exhausting no matter how much you love them!

Best wishes to everyone for a decent day🦩
