Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry outside here in brackley and looks a little milder as to temperatures as of late
I did Bicester yesterday as I will do today , have had a phone call from Hospital in relation to surgery they will send full detail by post as I may need to go in a day earlier for a pre op .
Otherwise I am carrying on as normal until these changes happen.
Take Care,
Mick

flowers It’s horrible, isn’t it? It DOES get better, honest. You find the big hole more tolerable. ❤️❤️

A sad and busy time, Megs. You will all find you have inner strengths you never dreamed of, though it may not seem like it at the moment.💐

Good morning everyone. Dashing in at the last minute as I have been speaking to the GP about my blood tests. All are fine and my blood sugar levels have dropped ‘significantly’. I’m so pleased, as I felt I was fighting a losing battle after the Diabetes Prevention Program did not work for me.

Have a good day all, will read the thread now.

hollysteers Fri 17-Feb-23 11:01:56

Advised me to!🙄

hollysteers Fri 17-Feb-23 11:01:11

Good morning from a damp northwest coast.
My Dsister arrived from London last night and we had roast lamb with garlic and rosemary etc which turned out very well. Now I’m widowed I don’t often do a roast.
She has stresses at home so the change will be good for her and we talked until around 2 in the morning. She also sings and teaches, so we have lots in common.
Today we are planning to go into town for an exhibition and lunch.
I am putting olive oil in my right ear for wax after specsavers advised me too. Problem is it feels more blocked up with it!
Full steam ahead for your op Mick and hope you get nicely sorted grandMattie and your worries disappear.

Just popped back to say I’m pleased Marydoll is feeling better and to support her wise advice for Mick.
Going out now - the wind is so bad, I’d prefer to be somewhere else, as this has just happened ……

Just learned that youngest DiL has tested positive for Covid, her third time despite being full vaccinated. Fortunately she is not overly poorly.

A very late good morning from Essex by the sea. We went out food shopping early so that DH could go to his beloved boat.

It's next Friday that I go away Gingster not today.

DD2 has sent photos of youngest DGD, it looks like chicken pox, poor lamb. A doctor's appointment later for her.

I will sit back and read all the previous posts now with a cup of tea.

Have a great day everyone xx

Morning from S Lanarkshire, lovely blue sky (for the moment)

Bit of a rush today but wanted to say pleased to hear you’re feeling more like yourself Marydoll.

Things will sort themselves out grandMattie, you must be exhausted just now.

I hope you enjoyed your U3a meeting EkwaNimitee and met some like minded people. Ours is a great thing for us oldies!
Half the town seems to be playing the ukulele! I’m sticking to walking and book group just now but I admire the musicians!

Wishing all a good day 🦩

No Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. Boy it’s windy out there! But the sun is shining and it’s warm on this sofa, behind glass. I’ve just been reading an article in the Telegraph in which scientists in Berlin have concluded we are all better for an extra hour’s sleep in winter - something I seem to have taken on board as I didn’t wake until 8am this morning! It’s nice to stay snuggled under a winter weight duvet.

No plans for us nail this evening when we are babysitting.

Time to get the Burford Browns on the hob and set the table for breakfast! Have an enjoyable Friday folks.

Gwenisgreat1 Fri 17-Feb-23 09:48:15

Good Morning all from Harrogate where the wind is blowing a right hoolie. Our garden toy store which had 3 bricks on the lid didn't fool the wind, and the DGC's tent has been damaged (better that than other things being damaged).
Thank you for the explanation Ashcombe, living like that obviously suits you both, I'm not sure it would suit me, but I suspect I'm a lot older than you!
I hope your property buying and selling goes smoothly GrandMattie I'm sorry you have been suffering from vertigo, and Marydoll It's most disconcerting.Glsd to hear you have been feeling much better.
I doubt if I will go out today - I'll get blown away! Probably do some admin and baking which should keep me busy.
Have the best day possible folks.

Wonderful news Marydoll. Now, for goodness sake, listen to what you are being telt, take it easy and behave yourself. 😉
