Eating out, I don't enjoy it.

I love eating out and we have a real range of cheap to expensive cafes /restaurants/ hotels
I had a fabulous vegetarian roast the other day including a Yorky and five different veg followed by strawberry cheesecake and a coffee for £12 all cooked on the premises by the owners wife

Eating out is quite expensive now, I eat out a lot and the menus are typically £30 to £35 for two or three courses and they add 10% service charge to the bill. I don't mind the 10% added but I think they should exclude the wine before calculating the 10%. Bottles of wine are usual double the retail price.

Love eating out, but can't stand loud music when eating and chatting with family and friends. I would not go to a venue where this is the case.

I have found recently that young people also have music playing when eating at their house, which I really don't like.

In my opinion, and I do know some will disagree, muzak in restaurants and shops is counterproductive. It drives away customers.

If owners of these businesses can't bear silence perhaps some very low key low volume classical music might be tolerable but not anything so loud and intrusive that it competes with normal conversation

A new cafe opened in our village recently, overlooking the sea . There is no other cafe. They offer decent food at reasonable prices. Sadly they have not considered the noise levels which are very high but easily reduced by fitting baffles in the open ceiling. You can't really have a conversation without shouting at each other. I will mention it....if I go back... I do enjoy an occasional meal out with friends and/or family, though, as long as the food is good....

Eating out is a treat for me. The restaurant we usually go to doesn't play music so you can hear people speak.

God, I'd just be grateful to be going out for a meal in the first place!

An hotel popular for weddings.

I love eating out. Anything that saves me cooking and washing up is fine by me. Must say £9 for soup was a bit on the experience side. Was it a posh place?

I love eating out. I think the economy is hitting my children’s purses. It’s a good while since anyone took me out. Mind you, they do eat out (my middle son especially) is constantly sending photos of them, at this restaurant or that. And my friends are rather reluctant to spend on restaurants. So I am left high and dry😂- never mind, as long as they are all happy.
