Good morning all from a showery and windy Glasgow, where its 8°C.

Nothing much to report, a gentle day planned, after yet another disturbed night.
For the first time since she was born, DD and SIL are taking Dollie out for the day. Some of you already know of DS1 previously estranging himself from everyone during the pandemic and this is a major step in the healing process.
DD is a nervous wreck, but so excited. I await the panic phone calls. 😉

MOMB. I always admire how active you are.
I'm keen to get out walking and stabilise my BP, but am caught in a vicious circle of angina attacks and breathlessness after activity.
DH has agreed to accompany me next week, even if only for a few yards along the road to start with. Baby steps!

Mick, for a long time I resisted using a stick, because it was a sign of my failing health and I didn't want to look like an old biddy.
I wish I had got one sooner,
Why don't you ask to see a physio, when you are in hospital? They will be able to properly assess your needs.
I didn't have my stick in hospital with me a few weeks ago and the staff offered to ask the physio to get me one, as I was and still am, wobbly. It certainly helps my confidence.

Birthday wishes to all the DGC.

Megs, you sound so bereft.💐
GM, hang on in there!

Have a good day folks, whatever your plans.

Good morning. A day with DGS (21 months). So probably a visit to the park and lots of running around. His Mummy is away with her sisters and Grandma. His Daddy and brother have a special rugby day.
Will probably treat ourselves to an Indian meal this evening.
Hope Saturday is good to all and special thoughts to those with troubles and worries.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s dry, cloudy and warmer.

I’ll be sorting out in my garage later. Beechnutella is coming tomorrow and she wants to do a swop store of things she has in there and I’ve been using her van seats to put things on 🤣

I’ve only been up a short while but keep thinking it’s a Sunday.
Have a good day all 🌺

Gingster Sat 18-Feb-23 07:50:49

Good morning all and it’s a grey one.

Not much doing today apart from dog walk, reading the papers and having another go at my painting by numbers.

I hope you all have a pleasant day.

NannyJan53 Sat 18-Feb-23 07:50:08

Good morning from a cloudy Black Country, where it has rained overnight.

A pleasant day yesterday, with a walk to the park with my friend. Then lunch in the cafe there. It was quite sunny and warm.

MrJ has a hospital appointment today on his eye. He had cataracts done on both eyes, but one isn't quite right. He was told this sometimes happens after a cataract op, and he is having a procedure today to hopefully correct this. Fingers crossed it goes well.

So some housework today, whilst I wait for the phone call to pick him up afterwards.

Half term starts here next week. DD is relieved, and it will probably take until Tuesday to recover!

We like Wells karmalady and always make a visit when we are down there for the Glastonbury Extravaganza in August.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and very wet. Susan best wishes to your niece and her new baby. And to B. Grandmattie I hope the house business is concluded quickly.
Yesterday I had dgs2 for a few hours. He was such a happy wee soul- big change from the start of the week! Dd put a toy together for dgs1 which completely whose instructions completely passed me by. He'll be a happy boy on Monday when he's next at my house.
Today I'll go to town to buy dgs1's birthday present. I know exactly what I'm getting. The book, The Room on the Broom, t-shirts, and a toy whale. He loves animals. I already have the Toney audible version of Room on the Broom for him. After that, Saturday housework and washing. Susan like you, tomorrow will be his birthday party and I'm going to see him. It's at a local soft play which is fine as long as I don't have to join in! Mince round for dinner. Have a good day all

Good morning from Shropshire.

A day at home today.Nothing much planned apart from getting things ready for our day in Stafford tomorrow celebrating B’s 5th birthday. He is 5 today and having a party for his friends. We are going over to celebrate tomorrow and as it is DD and SIL’s 6th wedding anniversary we will look after B while they go out for a meal.

Our lovely niece had her first baby yesterday by emergency caesarean.Baby is in NICU so I have had an anxious night waiting for news.

Mick how about a walking pole if you don’t fancy a stick?

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

mumofmadboys Sat 18-Feb-23 07:19:42

Good morning from Essex by the sea where it is dull and grey.
My washing machine gave up yesterday so a new one has been purchased and will be delivered early on Monday.
Youngest DGD does have chicken pox so after half term week she will need to stay at home next week as well.
Shopping this morning and clearing out the utility room this afternoon ready for the new machine on Monday.
Have a great Saturday everyone xx

Good morning, all, from a mild Torbay with clearing skies.

A late start after a late night following Front of House duties in our theatre proceeded by the obligatory post show social time in the bar!

Take care not to overdo things, Mick.

I do hope things will fall into place soon for the deal on the flat, grandMattie. These vendors are lucky to have a willing buyer in you! Safe journey home today.

My late in-laws lived in Wells latterly, karmalady and I used to love visiting the city. Enjoy!

Wishing everyone a day to remember for the right reasons! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

BlueBalou Sat 18-Feb-23 07:08:09

Good morning, it’s a rainy start here on the hill in Wiltshire after a very blustery one yesterday.
I went to the opticians yesterday, very little change in my sight, everything A1 so I don’t need to go back for 2 years! I’ve chosen new glasses so very happy with things.
Had a cup of tea with a lovely friend in the afternoon, a fellow ‘artist’, today we’re both going to the same art session in the village.
Other than that I have nothing planned except housework today and knitting.
I may drop DH and DDog off en route to the hall for their walk?
Have a lovely weekend x

brook2704 Sat 18-Feb-23 07:05:13

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cold and looks like it’s been raining
Hopefully all will be ok gMattie and things progress quickly. Safe journey home today
DGS has been here for a sleepover, just awake now and hopefully going out for a longish walk with DH. I’ll be pottering about and will catch up with DD2 and DGD later
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Ladyleftfieldlover Sat 18-Feb-23 06:52:41

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. It is so nice to be home even though I was only away for one night! Today will be mostly spent putting everything back in the new room. Daughter doesn’t like it at all! She thinks there are too many colours and patterns. Wait until she sees the new curtains. Have a good day everyone.

grandMattie Sat 18-Feb-23 06:52:07

G karma g, in this case the owner is still alive. There is a PoA, however. I’m not telling the vendors I shall accept my own sale. One problem here is that there are two universities and rental isn’t easy!

Whitewavemark2 Sat 18-Feb-23 06:50:15

Good morning from the South Downs. Still mild but dull, forecast 11c today.

House is now finally back to normal and I can relax. I can now focus on getting the garden up to scratch.

Might eat out later, but if not I will do a macaroni cheese I think with tomato and broccoli.

Must take a couple of puffa jackets to charity shop. They are black, and I simply cannot wear black. Daft buying them.

Peeps - have a stress free day.

karmalady Sat 18-Feb-23 06:45:21

GM dealing with multi people can take a very long time when dealing with a property sale for the benefit of someone who may have gone into care or via probate. We had similar once and the process took over six months. In the end we had to get a rental house for a while.

karmalady Sat 18-Feb-23 06:36:51

Good morning, it was supposed to be dry all day in s somerset, I have a bedding wash doing now on a timer, it is always touch and go during winter. Forecast has now changed to rain for a few hours

I finished restoring the insulation that I lifted up to dry in the loft, only 2 weeks ago, leaks down a vent pipe. Two joints fixed and pipe lagged and the soaking plasterboard and laths are now bone dry and re-covered. All the people who said `get a professional` tbh I have done a much better permanent job. It was a professional who put the thing in incorrectly. I will not be going up there again, except just to poke my head up every now and then.

Alpaca fibre and hanks have gone to the cs, the fibre was hard on my hands when spinning, not like real sheeps wool. I gave up. I bought the fibre, to try

I am going to take my car for a spin later, to Wells, it is a nice run. Taking some cash from my dwindling stash. I am trying hard to save this year, hence no cards. I need to add to savings after moving, which made a big dent

grandMattie Sat 18-Feb-23 06:27:28

Good morning from a still dark Bristol.
So sad about being wobbly, Mick. I know exactly how you feel.
I’m still waiting for a reply on my flat offer. You would think the vendors would rush to accept it, seeing that it has been on the market since September with nary a bite, wouldn’t you? I have told them that I need a reply by today as my own buyers have given me a deadline of 0900 Monday. It is an Anchor home, BTW.
The second viewing went well. Yes, the flat is small but with a bit of money (which I shall have), it can be made lovely and to my taste.
The cream tea hamper still hasn’t materialised. The company and the courier blame each other. A new one will be delivered next Tuesday, a week late. 🤬
I’m off home later this morning. The trip has been successful, I hope. I can’t bear the thought of going through all this again.
Carpe diem/horam. Have a good weekend. 🦩🦩🦩🦩
