I have just made rock cakes in the Airfryer.

After a disaster at making scones a couple of months ago, I have not used it for cake baking since. The rock cakes, however were good . I would love to know what sweet treats anyone else has made. With recipes if possible. I used Mary Berry recipe but just used a quarter of the ingredients

I have avoided baking sweet treats as I know I will eat them all !😂 but I have cooked some corned beef pasties and used some left over pastry to make a little mincemeat pasty. But I found I had to flip them half way through.

I made little apple turnovers in mine. They were very good. Like 62Granny I turned them over halfway through cooking.

I also made apple turnovers and turned them over halfway through, they were lovely.

It is better for me using an air fryer as I make less, using the oven seemed a waste just to make a couple.

I made cheese scones in ours from a recipe on GN. They were delicious.

To those who already have an air fryer, would it be worth having for just one person?
I do the simplest and quickest cooking nowadays and only use the oven when baking for cake stalls or birthdays.
I know they are economical. Are they easy to clean?

I have one just for me, and I use it such a lot as it is quicker and cheaper than an ordinary oven. Mine is dead easy to clean; it has a non stick surface, and I just pour some hot water in and wipe clean with a cloth (tipping out the water first of course!).

I have been thinking about buying one , just me and DH at home. Any advice on which one to buy and what is good to cook would be welcome please. Looked on line and they vary in price from £69 to £250!

I find that my single drawer Ninja is great, saves using the oven and makes enough for one.

I git mine from Costco my nie e ordered it online for me as she is a member. 55.00 included delivery. I love it and use probably 3 times a week. Haven't tried baking scones or cake as yet but I will do eventually.
