I, too, have started sniffling - haven’t got time for a cold! Your photos are lovely ladies. On Saturday went to the church coffe morning then decided to go across to the library, where I found they had an Islam day with food and people trying to convert us! I kind of forgot why I had gone there! It was church yesterday, with a visiting minister who seemed to have forgotten that we had homes to go to, I missed my bus of course. Today it’s a telephone day for catching up with my school friend and my sisters.
Yes, Mick be careful, you don’t want to gets any bugs now.

Good morning from a mild and cloudy south Cornwall where three bluebells are peeping out on my patio. I'm tempted to go to my allotment and get on with some work there ahead of my knee replacement in less than a month. Breakfast at Wetherspoons, just across the road from my flat, first maybe. Decisions, decisions...

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. This should be a typical Monday - shopping and laundry - but I’ve also got things to take to a Charity shop and a bedside light to collect for the new room. I have a batch of WI admin too. Minutes to type up from last Wednesday and a new member whose details I have to put on the system. My right thumb hasn’t really eased yet but I will leave sending an Engage consult message a little longer. Have a good day everyone.

I too lost hebes during winter, all six of them, luckily they were young enough for me to be able to prise them out. The rosemarys behind are in tip top condition.

Cycling yesterday was lovely, just on the cool side, it was so nice to be out and to go past lots of catkins and snowdrops and still-sleeping orchards

I don`t have anything planned for today, it may well be a perfect day to finish some sewing. I can shut myself in my sewing room with radio on, it is a different world in there

DH, who was chasing bins at midnight, has reluctantly cancelled the golf.
At one point, I thought the conservatory roof was coming off. 🎐

Ash and Corner offer sound advice, Mick. If going to Bicester, is not essential it would be very foolish to put your self and others at risk, pre op.

Yesterday was a pretty rubbish day and I woke this morning with a blinding headache, so it will be a quiet one.
My favourite, spaghetti vongole for dinner, it will be quick to make and involves little exertion.

I had planned to do a shoe cull, I'm too embarrassed to say how many I have, but haven't the energy. I live in slippers now! 😁
My family will need to hire a lorry to take my clothes and shoes to the charity shop, when I go!😉

My DIL is another, who makes fabulous cakes.
I used to make a lot of cakes with fancy piped icing, when I was newly married, I think that's gone out of fashion now.
I still have every type of piping nozzle known to man!

Its great to hear of all the comings on goings on here.
I keep telling DD to stop procrastinating and putting plans on hold. Make the best, where possible, of every day.

I will come back later (and even later again, Taichnan ) to read your posts.

Good morning from a dull, dreary and grey Essex by the sea.
I'm up showered and ready for my new washing machine to be delivered. It's surprising how much washing there is for two people when it's allowed to build up.
A trip to the Post Office later and some housework.

A few jobs around the house this morning and then a watercolour class this afternoon . The class is held at a park with lakes so if the sun appears I may go early and take some lunch with me.

dragonfly46 - yes. Several of us met up last weeked. Two gone down with covid. Myself and DH have "sniffles" - more like lots of sneezing, coughs and splutters. But we are testing negative for covid. So far at least.

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull and it’s a windy one.

We have the dentist at nine this morning for just a check up. She’ll ask if I want my broken tooth fixing and the cost of it but it’s been like it since 2020 when no one would even look at it so no thankyou. I’ll wait until it starts to bother me while I save up.
I’ll hopefully get back for my yoga class and this afternoon picking up grandson from school. I hope he’ll be ok as the change of routine can knock him off kilter for about a week until he settles back in. 🤞

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Another mild, dry day with occasional sunshine.
I lost an established hebe over winter too Bluesapphire. It was only about 2 feet and it was so dead that it wasn't too hard to dig out.
I put a bird feeder on the lopped tree yesterday and the magpies emptied it in record time.
I've got DS's bedding to hang on the line and a Council residents panel meeting this morning.

Good morning from a blustery Leicestershire, the birds are very active this morning.
My garden too is a mass of colour at the moment. The gardener is starting again this week it will be good to have her back.

I was up early for Pilates this morning but set the alarm off to the neighbours delight no doubt.
After Pilates I am taking my elderly neighbour to the doctors. Despite having a car sitting on the drive she has never driven.

Take care all of you with the sniffles my DD has Covid again. It hasn’t stopped her painting her new house.
At least wear a mask Mick if you don’t want to stay in.

Good morning all from a mild and dry North Leicestershire.

DH is off to the gym and then we are going out to look at yet more kitchens. I also have a parcel to collect from M&S.

Good morning from a still dark Northampton, but I can see that it's dry and clear, and a sunny day is forecast I have just put the washing machine on, and hope to get it hung out before I go to yoga.

After yoga I shall have a 15 minute walk over to the pub for Knit and Natter and coffee. Then home for a light lunch and potter a bit at home.

Spent the afternoon gardening yesterday; trimmed my big flamingo willow, and cut a hebe right down that was lost to frost; I doubt whether I can dig the roots out, so will just have to leave the stumpy bits of it that are still remaining. It was a huge plant, almost 5ft, and it took me ages to trim all the branches down to fit into the garden bin. I had to get the saw and big loppers out. I am really aching this morning after yesterday's exertions.

Watched more episodes of The White Lotus yesterday evening, what dreadful people, but strangely addictive..... The scenery is beautiful though.

Whitewave a fabulous extended metaphor! Susan thank you. Occasionally dd will make celebration cakes for other family members but finds making cakes for others very stressful,in case they don't work out.

Good morning everyone, it’s a damp start here in Wiltshire after yesterdays glorious sunshine.
The new fence is looking splendid, a really smart job, my neighbours spent all day constructing it.
Today I have GP appointment then I want to do some more knitting to get this hoodie finished, the hood is taking as long as the rest of it took to knit 🙄😊

Good morning from the South Downs - dull day forecast, but still mild.

It is just as if spring is the choir master and conducting the floral chorus. In my garden, Snowdrops have quietly begun with backing from cyclamen Coum, and then over the weekend spring flicked her baton and the crocus all opened to join the swelling colour. So the garden has gone from white and cerise, to all colours of the rainbow this weekend. Next will be the yellow and white trumpets and finally the bang of the multi- coloured tulips aided by the bells of blue. 😄

So on that note I shall carry on tidying the winter debris today.

B was very impressed with Logan’s cake Grandmabatty.He said I want that cake next year!

I am meeting a friend for coffee this morning and afterwards DH and I will pop to Llangollen for lunch.

I feel as if I am starting with a cold too grandMattie.I thought yesterday it was an allergy to DD’s new kitten but still feeling the same today so thinking could be the start of a cold.Hope you feel better soon.

Yesterday was a lovely day. Dgs1 had such a good time at his party. I got to sit at a table with my aunt and uncle, drink coffee and watch dgs1 run around. So I enjoyed it too.
I'm up early for childcare. I'm hesitant to say it will be easier than last week, but I'll drop off dgs1 at nursery then dgs2 and I will play. That usually means he toddles round my house, chortling with glee and opens all my kitchen cupboards. I follow him to make sure he gets up to no harm. He's a recent walker and is loving it. A walk to Aldi is planned, if the wind dies down. I need butter to make the boys pancakes tomorrow for breakfast. Have a good day all.

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset seems dry, all I can tell.

Enjoyed a walk by the river yesterday, the birds were out in force. Some admin for me and a (failed) attempt by Mr C to finish a jigsaw that has been on our dining table for what feels like forever. A persistent soul, Mr C won’t give up on it.

Out and about this morning, not sure what else, see how the day goes.

Hope you feel better soon grandmattie, look after yourself. Mick please be careful out there, it isn’t the time to pick up any sort of bug. A few crocuses are brightening a corner of our garden ash, yellow rather than the majestic purple. The spring flowers certainly lift spirits. Thank you for the photos.
