Reward Stickers - Lighthearted

I often give my younger pupils stickers when they have done well.
I sometimes think that I could do with some myself. One that might be applicable to many in our generations is “I’ve been a brave girl at the dentist” because so many of us have had to be at different times. One for me personally, as a professional musician with a hearing loss for most of my life is “A good listener.” If you could be awarded a sticker, what would you be given it for?

Nodding and smiling whilst listening to a boring person talking interminably about herself.

A sticker for Forbearance... I restrain myself from commenting while DH drives. He certainly does not! He can't seem to drive though town without commenting on others bad driving habits.

I should have a sticker for keeping my mouth shut when my husband says he will do the washing up for me GRRRRRR.

A biting my tongue sticker, for when DH totally disregards the shopping list and comes back with an assortment of random items, I never asked for.

Grace Under Pressure for smiling calmly and resetting everything when Mt.B forgets his passwords and panics loudly.

I’m a bit of a geek, and a few years ago there was an online game sort of like Dungeons & Dragons but instead of fictional monsters, the battle was with your various household chores and life admin - very useful but sadly I didn’t keep it up!

My best friend and I have actually gone back to giving each bother stickers when we do adult things. We would do those things anyhow, but getting a sticker for it is good at any age.

I am a child at heart though. grin

Listening to people and keeping the interested look going when I would rather be somewhere else! Only a minority, I hasten to add.

I was given one after I had my fourth Covid Jab. I definitely deserved one after having a tooth extracted at the dentists but don’t want to be reminded.

Finding things - Mum, Corner, Auntie, Nanna - do you know where whatever (from a screwdriver to yesterdays homework) is? I usually do and hold back from telling them it’s where they put it!
