Good morning from Glasgow all. 5deg. Partly cloudy and dry.

I finally sent off a parcel to DD2 in Australia as the cyber attack on Royal Mail is over and yesterday was the first day they accepted parcels again.

Pilates this morning then meeting up with two friends for coffee this afternoon.

Hope your pre-op goes well Mick
Good luck for the next kitchen hunt kitty

Have a good day all

Good morning from damp Colchester. I know it's February but our garden is glad there's a bit of rain today.
I'll dig out my mac for the short walk into the City centre for our Wednesday coffee meetup. It's a waiting afternoon for a call from the surgery about my medication. I'll get the ironing board out.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning from the South Downs. Dark, wet and chilly out there. Must get out my wellingtons.

Yesterday topped the vegetable Trugs with fresh compost and FBB, to settle ready for sowing and planting. We have waiting in the wings (greenhouse) summer cauliflowers and cabbages ready for planting out. But slightly too early to sow yet. No point in sowing too early as it takes too long to germinate etc. and a few weeks delay sees everything germinating far quicker with more success.

There seems to be a lot of bees around this year. We have a number of plants in flower and they were absolutely buzzing yesterday, particularly the winter honeysuckle and clematis.

Today as it is forecast wet, I will continue with sorting the family photos and eventually the family tree/history. We inherited loads from mum who died 3 years ago, so it is time I started on them.

Cottage pie with carrots (from the trug) and broccoli for dinner.

Have a good day peeps.

good morning weather is s somerset is cloudy, no rain

Mick good luck with everything, it has been a long road for you

Shingles vax today, the live one that most get, it only protects 51% and for 10 years. Naturally it is the cheapest

Sewing completed and sewing room and machines cleaned and readied for the next session, no idea when

Martin Lewis inspired me last night, I realised that my husband had a pension from a short-term job in 1971 and I am sure it was never claimed. I have no info to go on except I found the one and only copy of his nat ins number and that will enable me to get his employment record from government site. I can do that as his widow. The pension tracing should be possible. I cannot even remember the name of the company

Would this help Karma?

Good morning everyone from wet Wiltshire, it’s a soggy start here.
Dentist visit went well, I had a filling without an injection for the first time in my life! Obviously nowhere near a nerve 😵‍💫
I bought some saxifrages from the greengrocer on the way back to the car, I couldn’t resist!
I’ve nearly finished the hoodie, just all the sewing up to do then I can pop it in the post.
Today is a trip to the hairdresser, I will get it cut a bit shorter and enjoy seeing my lovely hairdresser again.
Apart from that nothing planned.
I hope today goes well for you all x

Good morning from a cloudy Torbay.

Thank you for all your kind wishes for DH , olddudders, who had a good journey back to La Sarthe yesterday with no delays on the trains, including €*. It does seem quiet here now but he'll be back in about three weeks.

I’m glad you’re having your pre-op, Mick, and hope all the test results will lead to you being able to have the planned surgery.

Take care, grandMattie; you’re wise to stay indoors for a day or two. I hope your GP can solve your breathlessness problem, Mizuna, which must be limiting for you.

Yesterday evening, I attended my theatre Committee meeting where I’d agreed to take the minutes in the absence of the Secretary. I followed the recommendation of our previous Chairman to record proceedings (with the permission of the participants) on my iPad, thus avoiding the need to type so much at the time and enabling me to join in with the discussions, which was very necessary at times!

This afternoon, I’m hosting Wednesday Club at our theatre for a visiting jazz singer as the regular leader is away for a month.

I fancy coming to you for breakfast, GrannyGravy13! Delicious!

Happy hump day! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Morning all

I am up early as the 8yr old has requested fluffy pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup before his 8am school start. Then I am off to the gym mid morning.

Good luck with your pre op’s Mick
Keeping fingers crossed that all goes smoothly grandMattie

Have a great day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Morning Mick, morning All from a damp looking corner of Somerset. Some sunshine in the forecast, that’s better as yesterday was damp and chilly

Wandered out as planned for a very enjoyable breakfast, bought an unplanned purchase of a bistro set for our patio, very comfortable chairs decided us. A bit of admin in the afternoon and no, the wretched jigsaw isn’t finished. Mr C will have another go today while I attempt to unlock a computer trauma. Grocery order arriving at lunch time. Phew. There was an issue with the planned delivery on Tuesday so a day late.

Things are whizzing along grandmattie, hope that cold clears. Please be careful mick, germs now would be a problem. The breathlessness sounds worrying mizuna, hope a cause and solution can be found quickly.

Take care everyone. Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Good morning all from a still dark, dry North Leicestershire where the temperature is 6°

We did need a lie down after our visit to the kitchen design shop yesterday and are going to another today - gluttons for punishment.

In the afternoon, a friend and I went to see another friend's new home in a McCarthy Stone development. We had a great catch up and lovely gf chocolate and orange cake.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning Mick and all from drizzly Bolton....welcome back Mizuna....😊

Mizuna Wed 22-Feb-23 06:22:42

Good morning from a dark, drizzly south Cornwall. To the doctor's this morning for her continuing detective work in seeking a solution for my sudden breathlessness, then a bus over to the north coast to (attempt to) breathe the bracing air there. Will watch The Piano tonight. It features a blind pianist and as my blind daughter plays the keyboard I'll be watching with especial interest.

grandMattie Wed 22-Feb-23 06:13:15

Good morning from a dark, overcast E Kent.
I’m glad you’re having all the necessary tests, Mick, keep away from germs…
I managed to do everything successfully in the right order yesterday, though the structural surveyor rattled me a bit being so taciturn as to be monosyllabic! my doings included signing away my house. Terrifying as much as exciting.
I’ve cancelled everything today, not wanting to be too generous with my germs 🦠. I think I’ll do the same for tomorrow
My lovely haberdasher, Rose, has asked me to knit a cardigan for her window. I hope I manage it in the 8 weeks I have left here, one is spent in Scotland, one not moving my head after the cataract op…
I hope everyone has a gentle day. Carpe diem/horam 🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and wet outside here in brackley this morning.
Yesterday , I returned via Buckingham on the buses from Bicester because with it being Pancake Day did the cafe I used to go into allot ,as they do them but price and amount of pancakes reduced in quantity from 3 to 2 .
Today , I have my pre op assessment at the Horton Hospital in Banbury early afternoon , readying me for next Monday with the pre tests of which will see whether they admit next week.
It messes my meal routine about as well .
Take Care,
Mick
