Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and wet outside here in brackley this morning.
Yesterday , I returned via Buckingham on the buses from Bicester because with it being Pancake Day did the cafe I used to go into allot ,as they do them but price and amount of pancakes reduced in quantity from 3 to 2 .
Today , I have my pre op assessment at the Horton Hospital in Banbury early afternoon , readying me for next Monday with the pre tests of which will see whether they admit next week.
It messes my meal routine about as well .
Take Care,
Mick

If you don't want to block him, you can mute him and deal with messages when you feel able. His mental health is not your responsibility to fix. 💐

Wyllow3 Wed 22-Feb-23 13:15:06

Aw, thank you for caring.

I'm close to that Grandmabatty except it could bring about a malicious reaction.
Unfortunately its severe MH problems as well as abuse and one doest stop totally having concerns.

I'm a safeguarded adult against him, but not police protection like his mum has. So I try to keep a very low contact/practical issues when essential approach which usually works.

At night I have my mobile off, but do have my computer on (enjoying music or Sounds catch like a lot of us do if sleep in short supply!) but I will definitely look into turning off WhatsApp sound alerts on computer.

Urmstongran Wed 22-Feb-23 13:09:43

Ha! you can tell I don’t have a smartphone batty I didn’t know you could do that!
😊

Grandmabatty Wed 22-Feb-23 12:56:56

Wyllow block him on WhatsApp. You need never hear from him again

GrannyGravy13 Wed 22-Feb-23 12:47:46

Good advice Urmstongran 👍

Urmstongran Wed 22-Feb-23 12:03:52

Wyllow if you have a landline for your family to ring, during the night I’d power your mobile down. Why give your ex access during the night? He might have been on the pop - and even if not - it’s draining for you not to get your sleep. If you don’t have a land line, turn the sound off fir WA’s so no pinging noises. The people who love you best and have your interests at heart will know you will be asleep!

Happy anniversary, Baubles

I always like to read through to see the variety of what we all get up to. Definitely made me aware I need to book my gardener in for next month (I've a huge garden and not enough energy CFS wise) but its nice to think of which bedding flowers to brighten up the garden.

I was up till 3am with whatsapp's from my troubled abusive Ex..so today a bit of a wash out: need to shop to get basics in tho.

Best for poorlies, hospital and GP appointments, and enjoy days. It's good to read Urms that you and friend have resolved the difficulties.

Happy Anniversary baubles 🥂

Well done to your DD, Hollysteers, on her promotion!

Blossoming Wed 22-Feb-23 10:52:49

Happy Anniversary to the Baubles ❤️ Enjoy your walk.

Blossoming Wed 22-Feb-23 10:41:50

Good night everyone. It’s sunny in this corner of Lancashire right now, quite a bit of cloud about. A chilly breeze and outside temperature 7°C.

The driveway is all done, it’s now much easier for me to move between the car and the house. I will be going for a walk later.

Hope all goes well with your pre op Mick. I haven’t read the full thread yet, I’ve been doing laundry. Will catch up now while I drink my tea.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Grandmachrisy47 Wed 22-Feb-23 10:18:53

Good morning from a cool and drizzly Co Durham.
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Baubles. Hope all goes well today, Mick.
Marydoll, you are amazing, so stoical. Vertigo is dreadful.
Expecting a visit from my dd2’s mobile hairdresser this afternoon. My own hairdresser doesn’t work on Wednesdays so dd organised hers to come to make me presentable for our trip to Scotland tomorrow.
Have as good a day as possible everyone.

hollysteers Wed 22-Feb-23 09:54:06

Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast.
More music today as taking the bus for a change to lunchtime recital, flute and piano and returning a blouse to Primarni.
The upset in the committee of music club yesterday resolved by another attender offering back up to be on the desk in charge from time to time. It was a poor turn out and a strange slightly chaotic session. I didn’t sing, overtired with bad back after sister’s busy visit.
Very pleased DD promoted to In Flight Manager for long haul.
You will soon have your op out of the way Mick and happy anniversary Baubles

Gwenisgreat1 Wed 22-Feb-23 09:50:52

Good morning all from dreich Harrogate
Happy anniversary to the Baubles
Good luck with your appointment this pm Mick
Vertigo is a horrible thing to put up with Marydoll hope you find that balance soon.
I had DGD after school yesterday, she informed me we are having pancakes another day, which is tomorrow when we can all be together, it means I’ll have quite a pile to make, but it will be fun.
We all seem to be a bit breathless these days! I have an appointment this pm with a respiratory consultant, in the Hope my breathing can be improved .
I don’t envy you GrandMattie just hope it all goes smoothly.
Have the best day possible folks

aggie Wed 22-Feb-23 09:44:27

Then craft group, where I form a slow learner group of one
Oh that really made me chuckle GrannySomerset! 😁

Happy Anniversary to the Baubles! 🍾🥂❤️
And bet your little grandson is fizzing with excitement today Grandmabatty! 4y old already and the baby toddling. Time passes in blink. Hope your appointment goes well Mizuna breathlessness must be quite scary the feeling of not getting enough air. Ashcombe you’ll miss Old Dudders but they do say absence makes the heart grow fonder! Hope things go well for you today Mick you’ve waited a long time with some unpleasant episodes to deal with in the interim.

Greyduster Wed 22-Feb-23 09:40:12

Sar53 Wed 22-Feb-23 08:54:36

Good morning from a dull, dreary day in Essex by the sea.
It's turning colder and looks like it may rain.
A long visit to the Opticians yesterday, new varifocals and I was told I have the beginning of cataracts in both eyes.
Today I need to start to pack for my few days away at DD1's. I have a few clothes at her house so that I don't need to take too much with me.
No other plans today.
Have a good day everyone xxx
