Morning all from West Oxfordshire. There isn’t a frost but it feels slightly cooler. Hopefully I will be Click and Collecting my new electric whisk sometime today. I’ll make a cake to try it outsmile As always I have bits of admin to do. Probably ironing too. Weekends used to be special before I retired, but now they sort of blend into all the other days of the week! Have a good day.

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset.

Lots of faffing yesterday, moving bits of furniture and generally organising saw us as ready as we could be for Mr C’s birthday today. Think he’s in shock at reaching 80. He’s told he doesn’t look it, have to agree, which is of course down to the way he’s been (not!) looked after for the last 54 years. grin. A traditional birthday tea was requested so that’s what it will be. I’ll sort food and fill the fridge this morning, our not so Littlest and his parents will be here at lunch time to decorate the conservatory and then we’re off. I hope Mr C has fun, he asks for little for himself and likes nothing better than family time. .

I do understand that sense of uncertainty grandmattie, I found it quite disorientating and was very surprised at the things that really mattered to me when carrying out the same exercise. Love the sound of your jumper, I’ve been rummaging in the wardrobe for brighter clothes. They lift the spirits I think.

Hope you’re next appointment will take you forward mick.

Wishing everyone the best Saturday it can be.

Good morning from a cold cloudy Leicestershire.

DS is coming to stay the night. He is coming alone as he is seeing some old college friends this evening. I think he is as excited as we are!

Hoping everyone has a good day.

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s cloudy and dry.

We had an enjoyable afternoon yesterday as we went to Cheltenham to see Tweedy’s Magical Mayhem. I wasn’t keen on the motorway journey there and back even though I wasn’t driving. I decided to make a start home straight away when we got back to my daughter’s so I wouldn’t be out in the dark.

Today Beechnutella will come to mine as she has someone coming to buy her storage stuff. She will then help me with a few things in my garden and that should be me sorted out.

I’m slowly getting rid of stuff and find it frustrating at times as what to do with things so I don’t envy your timescale for doing it Mattie. Im sure it’ll be alright in the end though.

Have a good day all

Good morning from the South Downs. Honestly! It is back to winter only 1c and dull. First day of spring soon, wish it would buck up.

GM it seems to me that moving house is one of the most unsettling things. Be good to go on a lovely holiday leaving instructions and come back to move into your new house.

Going to DDs today for coffee. I have a black puffa jacket for her as I bought it and have hardly ever worn it as I look dreadful in black ( I’m a spring person) and she looks fine (she is a winter person and can take those lovely strong deep colours) Takes after her father who has Spanish in his ancestry.

Might then walk by the river, on the other hand might not as it is so cold. Need the exercise though.

Dog is beginning to shuffle around ready for his morning constitutional, so must drink my tea and get going.

Keep warm everyone.

Good morning, there’s frost on the car roof but apparently it’s 3° according to my phone.
I do feel for you GM, I imagine it’s a really difficult and unsettling situation for you. Sending you a hug and 💐, I’m sure everything will work out fine.
Yesterday I had a zoom watercolour painting session, as usual I didn’t like my final picture 🙄😄
I also nearly finished sewing up the hooded jacket for my great niece, I’m rather pleased with it so I hope my niece likes it 🤞🏻
Today I will pack it up to take to the post office on Monday. I also want to tidy the greenhouse up a bit, DH is using it as a dumping ground again 🤬 and I need to decide what seeds to sow etc. Must buy more compost too.
Have a lovely weekend everyone x

Good morning from a dry, dark E Kent.
After the removals is it on Thursday, I feel I need to make a greater effort to clear out. I’ve done three kitchen drawers.
My friend’s daughter came round and said they only want my beds. They don’t have storage space for more. But… their neighbour does house clearances, so would take bits if no charity shop wants it.
I’m also accumulating bits for AM, Philip’s girlfriend, for her MS charity shop. Poor thing, her car is full to the gunwales each time she visits. She does get lunch or dinner and cakes for the MS coffee mornings as well…
Sewing up a scarlet jumper I’ve just finished. I’ll probably wear it to church tomorrow. A change from all drab colours people wear in winter.
Quiet day today, I’ll do more sorting and clearing. It’s so depressing. The uncertainty of where I’ll be when I move is rather trying.
Take care, y’all, have a happy weekend. Carpe diem/horam 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩
