So once you've been a GN member for a whilte, been around the block a few times, you'll have witnessed some feeding frenzies on controversial topics.

Some of those I remember from yester year are:

* Baby milk shortage (being bought up and sold overseas)

* Boris Johnson (at one point praised for his intelligence, yes, really!)

* Jeremy Corbyn (a real Marmite character)

*Anything to do with trans issues.

What are some of the topics that have caused metaphorical fisticuffs that you remember?

So many memories! 🤣🤣

The trolls ain't what they used to be either. How I miss onesies, plimsoles and the like.

Plus GabriellaGK54 (ish). She could be really offensive (interesting and funny).

Is the poster new, banned but returning, has two names or is it a man?

There's more than one. The argument had a range of factions. It was interesting reading.

From the beginnings of GN.
Frank, his little dog, and him doing a Bums and Tums class.
Anyone remember?

I could imagine dogsh*t and artificial grass would be a match made in hell …

Yep, friends thought it would work well. It did NOT:

Wait a minute. Is this a thread about a thread? 😱

🤣🤣🤣
It’s more like the whole stock of a haberdashery store!

I think there was a brawl onboard one of cruises and a rival trip set sail!

-MIL v DIL
-Maternal GM always receiving without merit, Paternal GM tossed into the 'bin without any reason at all'.
-Raising one's children as well as perfect mums amongst us
-Leggings

I like the ones that escalate really quickly, that make you go whoah what just happened, dog threads tend to go that way.

Me too. I love watching a Barney.

Reminds me of the children at school! The cry of 'fight!' brought them all running from every corner of the yard grin

Reinstating a banned member. The more contentious the better. They're bl**dy saints by the time the fan club have finished their character references.

Hopeless husbands - the pride their wives express about ‘men’s’ inability to boil an egg, never mind cook themselves a meal when Mrs OP is away.

SueDonim Tue 28-Feb-23 19:40:24

Taking in parcels for neighbours.

Showers v baths.

Around COVID: wearing masks, gloves, should post and shopping be doused in bleach or left in the garden for three days. Constant use of diinfectant, bleach and handwashing when indoors and alone

I actually left GN for six months because I found the paranoid threads on COVID so disturbing.

Being miffed over Christmas arrangements.

When it comes down to it, Gagajo, anything is grist to the Gnet mill grin
