What about when someone mentions a sexual practice that most of us have'nt heard of. The brave ones dash off to google it and come back on to give their opinion of such gongs on. Others are a bit fearful of finding out what is involved and there is always someone who makes it their business to explain to all and sundry all about it (whether you want to know or not
)
And those that are shocked and outraged that anyone should ever talk about sex, that sacred and sacrosanct act, private to one man and one woman only, never to be discussed or mentioned anywhere else, ever.
When my DH died, I was asked to tell all my favourite things about him and our long, loving marriage. I had loads to tell but also mentioned that our sex life (or "making love as we deemed it) was fabulous. Shock Horror! that I should mention such a thing, although it was a big, important part of our married life. So - sadly, not even a veiled reference was made during his funeral service.
