Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow, where its 2°C.

I hope Gwen had a lovely day yesterday and GBatty, you are feeling a bit better after your car mishap.

A restful day for me today. I overdid things yesterday and was quite unwell in the afternoon. Why do I think I am Superwoman and know better than my clinicians?
However, I did have a successful visit to the Range, taking advantage of DH's ability to impersonate a pack horse.
If I feel ok, I will plant up my little plant container, which sits on the railings at the front door and put out the solar lights I bought. I do love a solar light! 😁
On arriving home on Friday, I noticed there were parts missing from the lights, which I had bought. A very helpful shop assistant rectified that yesterday, even although I had no receipt.

Have a good day folks.
Gingster, I hope your DD is feeling a bit better.

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset

Managed everything on our list yesterday. Phew

Early trip to the Apple wizards to check my phone. Then off across to Wiltshire for a wander, it’s our 54th anniversary today. A bit warmer than it was then, it had snowed for a couple of days, we all froze.

Take care everyone. Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. White rabbits 🐇 and pinch punch! I have a mammogram today - always a joy and a delight. Not. I have had them annually since my cancer diagnosis in 2017. I have a WI committee meeting this evening, mainly to discuss the forthcoming AGM. After dinner I will be listening to a talk on zoom on the development of the underground in London. Have a good day everyone.

Back soon - with Matt.

Good morning from the South Downs and the first day of spring.

Naturally on my bbc weather app. I see heavy snow is forecast in 10 days time with very cold weather and sleet leading up to it. I must dig out my huge puffa that makes me look like a baby empower penguin, - I thought I’d put away until next winter.

The dog has an appointment at the groomers today to strip away his winter coat ready for the spring - so that was timed well. He does have a rather posh Barbour coat but refuses to wear it ( stands still won’t move) - obviously not to his liking, but really he seems to revel in the cold so I doubt losing his coat will make much difference to him.

Still persevering with the blood/sugar diet.

Chicken chassuer for dinner with broccoli and green beans.

Enjoy your day whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

I have an early chiropody appointment and will then be going to a local history talk. an hour later I am veering away from the knit group, which overlaps. The history talk today is drawing me in and is a one-off.

Good morning from my last day in Leamington. I'll be on the train by 10.30 and hopefully home by 2.
It was the first night of the WAGS Gangshow last night . It was wonderful, the young people have worked so hard over the last 4 months to put together a show full of singing and dancing. DGD loved it and was very hyper when we met her afterwards. Another 5 shows to go.
It will be very quiet when I get home but I'm looking forward to seeing DH.
Have a great Wednesday everyone xx

Good morning from a cold, grey Colchester.
Not as many as usual here before me today.
Usual Wednesday coffee meetup in the city centre this morning. Not sure about the rest of the day as DH has a delivery to wait in for. If it's early he'll go fishing.

fancy, Puerto Rico is a Caribbean island, Costa Rica is in the thin but between N and S America…

fancythat Wed 01-Mar-23 06:52:06

Good morning from another dry day I think down South.
grandmattie I always get Costa rica nad Puerto rica muddled. Never visited either. I expect they are quite different from each other.
Michael12. I wouldnt know where Bicester is either. Or Brackley or to a certain extent Banbury. I had better consult a map.
Ashcombe NHS still comes up trumps quite often.

Good morning from a dry and peaceful Torbay. At bedtime, a helicopter was circling above where I live so I hope they found whoever they sought, be it a person in distress or ……..?

Yesterday, my hearing assessment showed little deterioration in the five years (thanks, Covid!) since my last check up. My original basic aids, which had an ear mould, were replaced with virtually invisible ones which I can control from an App on my iPhone! All without any charge. How impressive is that? We are so lucky in this country regarding our NHS!

I did a lot of walking, mainly around the maze of corridors at the hospital, but also to and from the bus I needed. It was a joy to see so many Spring flowers in bloom and feel the sunshine.

Happy hump day, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

grandMattie Wed 01-Mar-23 06:15:36

Forgot! White rabbits 🐇 🐇🐇🐇
And happy St. David’s day to all our Welsh GMmers

grandMattie Wed 01-Mar-23 06:10:14

Good morning from a now dry E Kent. Still quite chilly.
I have just finished this book which was released days after the invasion of the Ukraine. It is worth reading as it explains some of the loathing the Ukrainians have for Russia!
I had a productive day yesterday. I cleared out a box marked “china and ornaments” and found (then promptly mislaid) a gorgeous little wooden frog that I got in Costa Rica when visiting DS1. The box was at the back of a cupboard, not opened since we moved 11 years ago. I found my “rana” quite by accident!
The solicitor promised to prod the vendor’s solicitor; my tai chi class went well. Taichinan, I managed to persuade the leader todo the class 180 degrees around. We were all impressed at how little we lost the thread of our movements. Made us all concentrate a great deal more!
The lunch went well - we went to a pop up cafe in Deal, after delivering 7 boxes of books, CDs and vinyl to Oxfam the way. My friend was paying, in return for my permission for her to park her car on my driveway. I don’t use that bit, so it really is no trouble.
Another removal assessor came for a quote. Another old family firm - I may well use them.
Today, I need the supermarket, but shall also go to various other shops for things like lights of sorts to replace the ones I want to take.
Enjoy today. Carpe diem/horam 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but a dry start here in brackley this morning.
Yesterdays trip to Bicester on the bus did not happen thanks to a accident delaying the bus ,which was caught in tailback traffic as the accident was on the M40 .
I did go by bus to Banbury though, and brought something with my xmas gift cards.
Today unsure yet what to do .
Take Care,
Mick
