Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but a dry start here in brackley this morning.
Yesterdays trip to Bicester on the bus did not happen thanks to a accident delaying the bus ,which was caught in tailback traffic as the accident was on the M40 .
I did go by bus to Banbury though, and brought something with my xmas gift cards.
Today unsure yet what to do .
Take Care,
Mick
Happy birthday Jax. I hope cake is involved.
Wishing you a Happy Birthday Jax 🎂🍸🎉
Happy birthday Jax💐🎂🎁!
Susan I love cawl - first ate it in the Swan Inn at Little Haven and craved it ever after. Welsh DH wouldn’t eat it😱! He loved Welsh cakes though. My best friend used to make them for him on her traditional bake stone.
Have a lovely birthday Jaxjacky 🎂🥂enjoy your evening out and your espresso martini. My husband loves those too. X
Happy Anniversary to the Cornergrans, have a wonderful day.
Good morning all from Glasgow
Hours spent on the phone yesterday, hanging on going around in circles. More of the same today! One bank where I wanted to transfer accounts within their bank and whose on line attempts failed told me my only option was to ‘pop in’ to my nearest branch…..in Bradford!! Utterly hopeless and so unhelpful. An email arrived this morning inviting me to fill in a survey of my experience yesterday!! I felt like Alice in Wonderland.
Have a good day all.
Happy Birthday Jax and MrShazza
Good morning everyone from a rainy Lancashire. It feels warmer now the wind has dropped. No real plans for today, other than housework, physio and a walk. I’m not finding the DuoLingo Gaelic course as helpful now so may look at something more structured.
Happy St David’s Day 💛
Good morning Mick and All.
Congratulations to all those celebrating on St David’s Day. 🥳🥳💐
I’m another who has my hearing aids linked to my iPhone. I downloaded BBC Sounds app and can listen to any programme whilst I am out and about. Being a great tennis fan I astounded my WI pals by showing them the live tennis from Doha. Most of the apps I have on the TV I have also got on my phone. Including Toilet Finder 😳 The wonders of technology.
Good Morning from an overcast & slightly damp N.,Cambs.,
Congratulations to cornergran & your DH on your anniversary.

Many Happy Returns to Jaxjacky,
, Also to MrShazza,
I hope you all enjoy your special day.
Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
My daughters flat sale was completed yesterday and she (and I) will be glad to see the back of it. It has been very problematic and as she is in the south, taking an intensive training course, it has been stressful. Makes me loathe to move myself when I should really downsize.
I will drive into town for today’s lunchtime recital, I took the bus as the weather improved last week, but I had a fitful night’s sleep.
Music club enjoyable yesterday, but I had trouble with my backings, I could do with a roadie!
Birthday greetings Shazza, happy anniversary Mr.C, thoughts to Gingster and her DD and anyone with worries.
Good morning all from damp Wetherby. Happy St David’s Day to all appropriate.
I’m actually on a coach with the U3A on our way to explore Wakefields coal mines? Should be interesting
Thanks folks had a lovely day yesterday culminating with a lovely meal in a restaurant
Have the best day possible folks

Good morning from a wet West York's ,thank you for your good wishes for my son ,his face is a bit of a mess but hopefully I it will heal with little scarring ,it's his daughters birthday today . Best wishes to all with birthdays and anniversary,s.
Happy St David's Day and good morning from W Kent. Off to meet friend who is moving house for a cuppa so expect to get an update with what is happening. I was reading that Norman Hartnell who made the Queen's Coronation dress was horrified when he realised that the Welsh emblem would be a leek but he managed to design the most glamorous leek ever, encrusted with diamonds apparently!
Happy Anniversary Corners
Happy Birthday Mr Shazza
Best wishes to all
Good morning and "Rabbits" everyone, and happy St David's Day. (I am part Welsh via my father's paternal grandparents.) I was going to say it's a lovely morning on the Angus coast, but that seems to have changed while I've been reading your posts - I can see a squall of rain heading this way. And there's a rainbow as well! As far as the weather goes, there doesn't seem to be such a thing as 'typical' any more, but yesterday I remember thinking that this was a 'typical March day'. We're forecast sleet showers on Monday and that's pretty par for the course for March as well. Break out the long john's again!
Well done with the tai chi turnaround grandmattie - it's a great workout for the brain!
Susan I know what Welsh cakes are, but what is cawl? Whatever it is, I'm sure my Welsh forebears would have been enjoying it today too.
Happy Anniversary to the Corners - we would have had our 56th on the 4th.
And a happy 58th birthday to Mr Shazza - funny to think that he was just a wee 2 year old when I got married!
Sorry to hear you scraped your car yesterday Grandmabatty - scarily easily done. Hope it was only your pride that was bruised.
Today's the day I take my friend out. She loves going to the 'up country' eatery, so that's where we shall go. I don't know for how much longer we can keep doing it though - she's becoming more and more infirm. She's a big lady and there's little I can do to help her if she falls. She's very thrawn as well - last week she insisted on climbing two steps and refused to walk up the ramp that's there. I really didn't think she'd make it! Thrawn is good, I know, and it's what keeps her going, but ....... So keep your fingers crossed for us this afternoon!
Now off I go to get on with today's little chores. Enjoy your first day of Spring - although I always think of that as being the Spring equinox around the 22nd - probably because it takes three weeks for Spring to travel from down south to up here? 😉. Have a good day x
Good morning everyone from a rather damp Northampton, but I live in hopes as I have just put some washing in the machine.
And a happy White Rabbits and St David's Day to all.
Hairdresser was yesterday, and I decided to go a shade lighter in readiness for my holiday and better weather. Very pleased with it. Then I popped next door to the beauty salon and made an appointment for a pedicure next week, so my tootsies will hopefully look in good shape for the holiday!
Joined my lovely group for a health walk yesterday afternoon - I did over 9000 steps! And was ready.for a sit down with coffee and chat afterwards. Popped into the paper shop on the way home and paid my bill, and have also forward paid to the end of March.
Have just received details of next year's cruises, and quite fancy one to the Greek Islands.....
A.few things to do around the house this morning, and am trying to decide whether to go to the well-being cafe this afternoon,.or just stay in and read or knit.
Happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs Corner, and hope Mr Shazza has a lovely birthday. To my horror I am nearly 20 years older!
Happy Wednesday to all.
A very quick good morning from what looks like a getting sunny Suffolk. About to log on to my monthly work Teams meeting which I always enjoy and which keeps my brain active and generally keeps me in touch with the world of work which I retired from 2 years ago from the business I established on my retirement from my main career 15 years ago.
Can’t believe how time has flown since then but grandchildren have all but the eldest have been born since and although none are close by and several 4+ hours away, they have occupied many delightful hours and days.
Hope all find some peace and pleasure today.
Daughter has just dropped my walker off for me , so no need to knock the mud off the other ! First world problem?
Happy Anniversary Mr&Mrscorner 🥂
Happy Birthday MrShazza 🍺🎉
The best of both worlds then Shazza!
Got me remembering that lady on here (?? Scentia) who worked at their factory unit, printing labels and stuff. She always posted such interesting messages. She was always super busy in her garden, with her two grandchildren, I think she cycled with the little ones in a buggy hooked up to the bike? She used to show us photos. I think she made a hutch & run for guinea pigs in her garden to the delight of the children. Then she just stopped posting and we never heard from her again. I hope all is well in her life.
Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny but also showery Carlisle.
Today, a bit of housework, a bit of admin and a bit of mulling over what clothes to take on holiday. It doesn't seem to have been particularly warm in Spain recently and is due to get colder here so probably there too. I'm trying to pack minimally which is something I'm not good at. I'm a belt and braces person!
Today also my boiler is being serviced. I was taken aback when the firm rang to remind me.....that time of year again?! I've had to go into the garage and rearrange all my stuff so as to give him working room. I'm planning on a purge in there when I get back as I've got gardening gear/stuff brought from my big garden and it's not needed in this smaller one.
Do have a good day everyone.
