It depends on the size of the space. If bad parking has impinged on the white lines, I'll move on. If access looks good, I'll use it. I'm also quite happy to wait for someone ahead of me to manoeuvre into a space, and hope that they would do the same for me. It's just common courtesy. I do find that the width of parking spaces varies, even between supermarkets. Some are more generous than others, and those are the ones I try to opt for, even if it defines where I shop.
