Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I didn’t mind being 66 but 67 suddenly feels old. It may be that I am in a lot of pain with an arthritic knee and a hip. Will they ever get replaced?
So sorry to hear your news soop and I do hope the surgery has been successful. Your foot looks painful - I expect it’s all colours by now.

ALL GOOD Friends
And jolly good company.
Welcome.

Dear Soop, I'm hoping and praying that the surgery has removed all of the cancer and your dear sister makes a complete recovery. Thinking of you. 🙏💕
Thank you, Grandmabatty and Brook. We had a lovely afternoon at Loch Lomond. I'll try to attach a photo of the views from our table. DH realises that he is indeed a lucky man, there was a time last year when he was very ill with sepsis and we didn't know if he would see another birthday. We are very thankful.
TOYA, NNGB.
How very upsetting for you all soop
Soop so sorry to hear the news about your sister, you must be so upset.
I’m very sorry to hear that news Soop.🌹
Oh Soop how sad. I'm really sorry to hear that.
I’m so sorry, Soop. That sounds very difficult.
I hope the op has caught everything and that there is better news further down the line. Xxx
So sorry to hear that sad news about your dear sister soop 💐
Sad news to share with you.
My young sister has cancer of the duodenum. She has had a lengthy operation to remove the tumour and has had her pancreas removed. She's in ICU and will not be given the news until tomorrow.
I am thankful that all her family live close by. Her lovely husband needs all the support he richly deserves.
It will be at least a fortnight before we know what the next steps will be.
Good night dear Kitcheners.
Good evening all. It’s turned cold and windy here today. Mr.B took me to Morrisons to collect my prescription from their pharmacy and I picked up a few bargains from the grocery department as well. We have also been to vote. I am still practicing Gaelic Grandmabatty I do enjoy it.
Ouch Soop that looks sore! I hope nothing is broken. Sorry to hear of your recent loss.
My broken little toe isn’t causing much grief, I’m keeping it elevated while sitting and only going out if I have to. My outdoor boots have wide rounded toes so no pressure. NHS online said it shouldn’t need splinting but to contact 111 for advice if it is giving me any trouble.
Lovely pics LadyLFL,:I hope to have a woodland walk soon.
I am wondering how YiaYia is doing with her house hunting and it seems a long time since we heard from Muse. It’s probably just me forgetting things! Mr.B pulls my leg about my memory but he was the one who forgot his voter ID and had to rush back for it
It’s been very windy here this afternoon, a bit of sunshine too that helped dry all the washing very quickly. I’ve been moving stuff around in the garden, dug a few old heathers out and filled the gaps with some colourful low growing phlox - it’s looking much better already. DGS had to decide between his usual Thursday football practice or a the school disco tonight - surprisingly he chose the disco 🤣
Wishing your DH a very Happy Birthday grannmarie, hope the afternoon tea was good! 🎂🥂
I hope you enjoy watching the coronation with your neighbour ann I’m sure she’ll enjoy your company
Sounds like you’ve had a good day grandmabatty with both art and Spanish!
Hoping there’s some good news about your sister soop and the funeral tomorrow goes as well as it can
Beautiful pictures llfl, the bluebells are stunning
Blimey Soop, that looks colourful! Would a bag of frozen peas help to ease the swelling?
We went for our annual visit to a local National Trust bluebell wood. The scent was intoxicating.
Oh, your poor foot, that does look painful, soop. Sorry that you've had another friend die, I hope the funeral goes as well as these sad times can.
annsixty, well done for putting your neighbour first, I'm sure she will appreciate your company.
( It's also bright, but very windy here in East Anglia!)
Warm wishes to all of you in this friendly kitchen.
My young sister (twenty years my junior) has spent one month in hospital. She has been transferred to a hospital that will operate to try to establish the cause of her pancreatic problems. I may hear from her husband later today.
Our good pal's funeral is to be held tomorrow. We had four marvellous friends with whom we shared many happy occasions. All of them have died. We have good memories and continue to miss their companionship.
annsixty I can walk without discomfort. I never wear shoes or slippers indoors. If I had, the pain would have been so much less eye-wateringly bloody awful.
Good for you. Join your friend on Coronation day. Being with a friend is spot on. Enjoy yourself.
Grandmabatty I look forward to seeing your future project. Wise of you to wait until the boys are older before allowing them to run riot with the oil pastels.
I have sold two items on eBay. I reduced the asking price to a bare minimum. Better a few pounds in the kitty than having to put the stuff back in the wardrobe.
Soop ouch! That looks very sore. Annsixty that's a kind thing to do. Grannmarie I hope you enjoy your afternoon.
I'm just back from art class where I played with oil pastels but didn't take to them at all. I'll probably let the boys loose with them when they are older. My next project will be a painting inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe. I've done some Spanish too. Are you still learning Gaelic Blossoming? Have a good afternoon kitcheners
That looks very painful Soop
Should you have it X-rayed?
A sunny but very blustery day here today.
Ihave battled and got towels on the line.
I struggle to peg out but forced myself today.
A neighbour, very recently widowed, has asked me if I would like to go to her on Saturday to watch the Coronation, I honestly wouldn’t sit and watch it myself but I don’t like her to be on her own so I have agreed that it is a lovely idea.
I am now thinking what I can take as a contribution towards lunch.
Have the best day you can everyone.
Belated Happy Birthday greetings, Nannytopsy!💐🥳🎂 I hope you had a lovely time.
Soop, sincere condolences on the loss of your dear friend, thinking of you. 💐
DH's birthday today, we're off to Loch Lomond later for afternoon tea, then celebrating with the family over the weekend.
Wishing everyone a happy 🌟 Star Wars Day,
May the fourth be with you!
Hello everyone. A long day. Our cleaner came this morning and I popped down to our village cafe for the monthly WI Coffee morning. OH had a good time at his U3A Science group. The WI Committee Meeting went well. The President brought a long a bottle of Prosecco left over from our Puddings and Prosecco evening and it went down very well! After dinner I listened on zoom to a very interesting talk on London’s Royal Palaces. I hope all of you celebrating birthdays have had a good day.💐🎁🎂
Happy Birthday Nannytopsy, I hope you are enjoying your special day.
