ALL GOOD Friends
And jolly good company.
Welcome.

Yummy cake, Oreo!
I’ve had a strange sort of day, I woke at 5.30 am to go to the loo and realised as I got back into bed that I was starting a migraine. I took a triptan and went back to sleep. I felt a bit woozy for most of the day. OH still has an appalling cough and and cold. He thinks he caught it from a lady we nickname ‘Typhoid Mary’ on our cruise. He has a painful knee too, so is not a happy bunny. Also, one of his multitude of tablets was not available on Friday and it’s one of his more important ones! He will ring the Health Centre tomorrow and see if another Pharmacy has it. Have a good evening.
I have brought cake! I made a chocolate sponge today from a Mary Berry recipe, it’s got apricot jam in the middle and chocolate and cream.DP has stolen two slices already, but I’ve left the rest for you all.😄
Had a lazy day today for a change and have eaten too much😊
Thanks Jax it’s been lovely having them but exhausting- I don’t know why it’s so tiring as we’re not doing any more than we normally do, it’s probably the responsibility of looking after them and not really relaxing. Even at night time I’m not in a deep sleep so it probably all adds up
Enjoy your well deserved rest brook, quite a stint!
Such a gorgeous view soop I don’t think I would ever tire of sitting by your window gazing out over the sea
It’s been the last full day of childcare today, DD1 and SiL have safely landed back at Edinburgh, they’ll be home tonight but it’ll be too late to pick up the DGC so there here for tonight. We’ll drop them at school in the morning and come home for a rest. We took them to the Eden Court theatre this afternoon to see the Demon Dentist and they laughed and laughed - lovely to see them enjoying it so much!
How kind of Imogen Jax she sounds like such a lovely girl
Gorgeous plants nannytopsy you’ve definitely done well with those
Pleased things are improving a bit Blossoming look after yourself
Well done Jax- that will come in useful!
soop what a view! That was our compromise when we moved - no sweeping countryside views, although we do have trees! And we don’t have a housing estate!
Today we have spring cleaned the greenhouse and it’s already starting to fill up with seedlings. I am glad I didn’t rush to plant seeds too early this year.
H all, hopefully you’re ok today Blossoming.
How lovely hulahoop, little mates.
Imogen and family were round yesterday, she bought gifts from her skiing holiday for us, thoughtful.
The sun has just come out, it’s been dull all day, bit late now!
Won a huge piece of gammon a couple of hours ago in our pub’s meat draw, straight in the freezer.
Enjoy your evening all.
I have been sat out talking to our young new neighbours, they have a bo who is same age has our 5yr grandson ,they went to same nursery ,my daughter called down with Grandson so they have been playing lovely to see them .
Thank you for your messages .
What a beautiful photo Soop!
Blossomig Tomatoes!!! I have recently read somewhere that they can cause gastric problems. Such a pity. I love them and enjoy them almost every day.
Grannmarie The Heathrow One is looking well pleased with himself.
Wow! Nannytopsy I am rather envious of your magnificent erythroniums. I shall show the photo to Mr Soop. I would love to add this plant to our garden.
Oreo and hulahoop, it is grand to have you join us in the kitchen.
Llfl A gentle hug for your poorly husband. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
We visited friends yesterday. It was rather late when we returned home. Today...plenty of phone calls...and a leisurely afternoon watching snooker.
The stoma nurse at the Vale of Leven hospital in Glasgow will be phoning for an update on Tuesday morning. I shall ask her for an appointment at the hospital. The hernia now measures 18" in circumference. We have had a few blips with it today.
Nannytopsy those look lovely. My tulips have gone over apart from one pot still to flower, and my daffodils in pots which haven't flowered at all. Brook sounds like a lovely day. Yiayia that's disappointing for you. Hopefully the right place will come along soon. I'm off to roast a chicken and a gammon. I'll leave some in the kitchen.
Thank you Jax. I had porridge for brunch today and chicken and rice soup with crusty bread, followed by a yoghurt this evening. Things are settling down now, fingers crossed!
Hi to all kitchen pals, it’s been a lovely sunny day here in Inverness but a bit cold. We dropped DGD off at her dance class and then took DGS to Fort George for a quick look around and a walk on the ramparts - no dolphins about though
They’re both just out of the bath and having their treat of milk and biscuits before bed.
I agree about a balcony or terrace Yia definitely a must have. Hopefully you’ll find your ideal place soon
Hi to hulahoop and Oreo lovely to see you both here, doesn’t matter if you’ve not been or done anything much, just saying hello is good. Hope your mobility improves a bit soon hulahoop
Hope your DH gets a bit better soon llfl
Hello all. We had a surprise visit from elder son, his partner and our granddaughter this afternoon. They had been canoeing in Lechlade. We only saw them last weekend and they are coming next Sunday for my birthday festivities. The weekend after that will be my granddaughter’s 7th birthday gathering in Kew. OH is still coughing and spluttering. He has tested negative for covid but is still wearing a mask. Have a good evening.
Same here hulahoop tho not from mobility issues, get well soon
Working flat out as colleagues go off sick and inbetween minding the twin little ones. Love reading what others do tho.
Hello have not posted for a while not really been or done anything interesting due to mobility issues , but I have been reading lots of trips and family get togethers on here . Have a good weekend whatever you are doing.
Afternoon everyone, trying to catch up with you all.
Sounds a special time with your DGD Grandmarie.
Hope your feeling better Blossoming.
Enjoy your Bowls Jax.
The hunt for our next home goes on.We thought we found the perfect apartment, it was on the ground floor of an old abbey.Would have been perfect so spacious so much character and in nine acres of park land.Sadly no terrace or balcony. This is a big thing for us even, if we only have a balcony it would be fine.
I do found it stressful and the hives come and go.😖
Sending good wishes to anyone I’ve missed.
Have a good Saturday all.
This may help Blossoming, impressed myself!

Blossoming there was a thread on options for no tomatoes in cooking, I’m sorry I can’t link it 😕.
Hope everyone is ok and looking forward to the weekend
We made it over to Brodie Castle with the DGC today and had a really good day out. We’ve been taking them there since they were babies in prams and we always have a great time. The Easter egg hunt was still on so we did that first, had a picnic in the playful garden and then they spent ages on the zip wire in the adventure playground. Last thing we had a game of hide and seek in the woods, DGC love it but are getting far too good at hiding now so I’m always on tenterhooks until I find them 🤣
Its so good that you stuck with GN neine and your earlier experience didn’t put you off
At least you know what to avoid Blossoming, hopefully you can find something as a substitute
Hope you can enjoy your bowls again soon Jax and the green dries out eventually
I was thinking of taking ours to see the Super Mario film too grannmarie, but we managed to get tickets to see David Walliams Demon Dentist at the theatre on Sunday so we’re doing that instead. It’s so lovely spending time with them and seeing them grow up isn’t it - although I wish I could slow it down a bit
Hope the extended patio is looking good SueD and you get lots of use out of it. When the sun was shining today or actually felt warm so better days are on the way !
Aw, he’s a cute boy, Grandmarie! ❤️
I forgot to mention Grandmabatty. I’m glad your friend’s funeral went as well as these things can. Xx
