Good Morning Everyone,
The dawn is just about to break with a clear sky over brackley this morning.
Today , before operation tomorrow sees drinking liquid although I can have a tea without milk and a couple slices of toast , the remainder of the day will be water and vegetable juice.
I will also sort out a rucksack for essentials I need when in hospital .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning and happy Mother’s Day from a sunny, dry Glasgow.

A long FaceTime chat with DD2 in Oz and DD1, plus the girls will be down later for a late lunch. F1 to watch later. Having read the book, Where the Crawdads Sing,I decided to watch the film yesterday and wasn’t disappointed.

A long day ahead for you Mick, hope it passes quickly.
My thoughts are with you and your DD Gingster💐
Sorry to hear you are not feeling 100% yet Grandmabatty look after yourself and rest up. Thinking of you and your dear friend. 💐
Happy Ruby Anniversary to you both SunshineSally ❤️🥂

Good morning from a mild and sunny Co Durham.
Had a wonderful day yesterday celebrating DH 80th birthday which was on Friday. DD2 hosted a large gathering of family from various parts of the country 15 adults and 4 children. Masses of lovely food, copious drinks and much chat. DG met her 1st cousins once removed for the first time ( she’s 8).
Their day was made when the hot tub was filled! They were in and out all afternoon. Then after dark it rained and they all dived in again. Later in the evening Alexa provided music, and for the first time in years I was up rocking and rolling 😀. I am suffering this morning. The birthday boy really enjoyed his day.
Thinking of all with worries and good luck to Mick.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Might take a spring walk in the sand dunes today after a couple of slothful days (which I think I needed…)
Lovely lit up musical card from DD who takes a flight to LA tomorrow in her new job as Inflight Manager.
Might also practise my songs for Tuesday and have a general tidy round.
Thinking of you and your DD Gingster and you will be glad when your op is over Mick, the lead in can be the worst part.

Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire. Hope you don’t feel too bad on that eating regime Mick, I’ve done similar. Hope surgery goes well tomorrow.

Yesterday was hairdresser in the morning, a short walk and general pottering in the afternoon. I received a letter from the Pensions service advising me of the increased rate from April. Nothing from the DWP regarding any PIP increase as yet.

Today will be bacon rolls for brunch and roast chicken for dinner tonight. In between I will listen to the radio, make a start on getting financial paperwork in order and hopefully go for a walk. Mr.B is tackling the garden pond, I can’t help with that as I’m not big or strong enough.

Have a peaceful Sunday all 🌺

Happy mother's day. I have my birthday cards and flowers mixed together. A very busy day yesterday so a quiet day today .Ginny hope your daughter is feeling better soon.

Urmstongran Sun 19-Mar-23 09:25:38

Happy ruby wedding anniversary SunshineSally! I had to look it up as we’ve never been ‘big’ on these milestones - apparently it’s 40 years. Wonderful.

Reminds me - I saw on a card recently “Isn’t it lovely when you find that special person you’d love to annoy for the rest of your life?”

Joking, of course. 🤣

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 19-Mar-23 09:25:27

Gingster, flowers my love and prayers to you, your daughter and the whole family.
FYI I do have a moving out date, 14 April but I have yet to get a moving in date which makes me very fidgety indeed. I would stay with DD for a week or so, but need something else after that.

Auntieflo Sun 19-Mar-23 09:16:07

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and dry but cloudy. Gingster I'm really sorry to hear about your daughter.
I'm feeling unwell again so will probably have to make a doctor's appointment. Oh joy. I need to go to Aldi for food as I don't have much in. Then I'll go back to my friend's house for a while. Dd said she would call in later with my mother's Day gift so I look forward to seeing them later. Have a good day all

kittylester Sun 19-Mar-23 08:54:48

Urmstongran Sun 19-Mar-23 08:52:36

Good morning everyone from a gloriously sunny Málaga. Just looked at the BBC weather and these are our temperatures all the way till we come home with big fat sunshine’s every day. Perfect.

I’ve just received MD phone calls from our two daughters and had nice catch up chat. I also set a load in the washing machine from when we were last out in January. The decorator freshened up the doors, walls and balcony rails in white emulsion and gloss so we will be pottering today, putting books back on shelves etc. Nothing too arduous.

Himself has the Formula 1 racing to watch at tea time and Man. Utd play. A neighbour is out from Birmingham. Her partner doesn’t arrive for a few days yet so I’ll knock on later and see does she fancy a crisp G&T, sitting in the late sunshine outside Juan’s downstairs so that I can avoid the sports fest up here. We then plan to eat at a new bistro place that has opened over the road and hope we like it as it’ll be so handy.
😁

Hope all goes well tomorrow Mick with your op it’s been a long time in the planning and preparation. GrandMattie as ever, I’m in admiration at your energy and fortitude. And Gingster you must be so anxious today I hope there’s good news to share here about your daughter very soon. x

Gingster Sun 19-Mar-23 08:49:24

Thankyou all for your kind messages ❤️

EkwaNimitee Sun 19-Mar-23 08:48:26

Good morning Mick and all from grey Carlisle where showers are forecast.
I hope the day doesn't feel too long with your non-eating regime Mick. Best wishes for tomorrow.

I went for a brief trip to Sainsbury's yesterday. They had a large floral display of pricey flowers on sale which I knew were cheaper last week. I gave up on Mothers Day when it got so commercialised, I thought of mine as being special every day. And my Dad too.
Had long phone chats with my sister and DS1 and spent the rest of the time on some very tedious admin and then reading the papers.
Today I'm thinking of going out for a stroll before any showers appear and then relaxing with whatever takes my fancy. I'd like to be in the garden but I don't think that will happen.

I'm really sorry to hear about your DD Gingster, I hope she'll soon be on the mend and something positive can be done for her.

Have a good day everyone.
