The SNP is in a ‘tremendous mess’ apparently.

Since these two stepped down within weeks of one another the SNP seems to be imploding at a rate of knots.

What on Earth is going on? There is so much in-flighting.

Volver I'm quite sure you mean me but I really don't care. I don't feel patronised or ruled by the Westminster government. The UK is a small country and Westminster is not far away. We are well represented and have had many Scots in senior positions there over the years. I don't understand why the separatists get so hot and bothered about it.

SueDonim Sat 25-Mar-23 20:19:31

You’re still using the concept of someone with disabilities as a term of abuse.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 25-Mar-23 19:03:57

I do not like to see any political party in turmoil, the reason being that it is detrimental to the electorate.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 25-Mar-23 19:02:41

Blimey

Difference is, there is no small child .

SueDonim Sat 25-Mar-23 18:28:27

You’re an adult, Volver and can defend yourself. A small child can’t.

I don't need to read back Aveline, I remember that I introduced the word knuckdraggers and how I used it.

Some Unionists, not all, think that independence supporters are incapable of intellectual thought and shouldn't really be allowed to have influence on how the country is run. That we really need Westminster to keep an eye on us in case we overstep the mark and do something the big boys down South don't agree with.

Most of my Unionist friends and acquaintances understand that this is not a valid view to have. But if I use the word "some" and you think I mean to include you...well, if the cap fits...

Aveline Sat 25-Mar-23 15:06:54

Read back your posts Volver you're the one who mentioned 'knuckledraggers' as you seem to think we unionists look on SNP fans as being. You may be right. I couldn't possibly comment.

volver3 Sat 25-Mar-23 12:46:16

Oh of course.

Its OK to compare someone to a sexually transmitted disease, but for goodness sake don't be nasty to imaginary children. Don't be "unkind".

Whataboutery.

SueDonim Sat 25-Mar-23 12:38:49

It’s also pretty unkind to refer to small children with learning difficulties as ‘backward toddlers’.

Joseanne Sat 25-Mar-23 08:35:50

I guess you think it's hilarious to be associated with STDs. Then you misread my intelligent mind!

Casdon Sat 25-Mar-23 08:30:16

I’m sorry, it’s not a joke to call anybody VD. Banter is fine, but that crosses the line, it’s vindictive not funny.

volver3 Sat 25-Mar-23 08:29:41

I love a joke. If you can point out the joke to me, and it's funny, I'll laugh.

I guess you think it's hilarious to be associated with STDs.

Joseanne Sat 25-Mar-23 08:27:12

C'mon Volver, what's wrong with a little joke sometimes? Otherwise you have a King Edward on your shoulder, considerably heavier than a chip.
Oops, oh dear, didn't he (KE1) defeat the Scots ..... Dunbar or Dumbarton, wasn't it? ( Sorry, not good at Scottish geography!)

volver3 Sat 25-Mar-23 08:13:14

Nobody has got my name wrong. "Some posters" think it's funny to use initials that they have made up for me, intentionally, although they've been told by several other posters, several times, how rude and inappropriate it is.

I've never called anybody a knuckledragger.

If people make playground jokes and ask daft questions, they are behaving like - well, I'll not say it again.

Aveline Sat 25-Mar-23 08:06:40

Only you have mentioned 'knuckle draggers' and 'toddlers'. I have no idea why another poster has your name wrong. I'm sure you'll soon come up with an unpleasant comment about her/him/they.

volver3 Sat 25-Mar-23 07:55:00

I'm going a bit too far?

I am?

Yes of course. I'm the one calling other posters after sexually transmitted diseases, trying to prove them wrong while misunderstanding their posts, and making fun of Scotland and the people who live here.

Yes, of course, but I'm the one who has gone too far. See I'm just not a "turn the other cheek" kind of person. Is the air more refined up there on the high horse?

Aveline Sat 25-Mar-23 06:13:43

Volver as usual you're going a bit too far. Jings, crivvens, help ma boab wumman! (Take that autocorrect!)

volver3 Fri 24-Mar-23 22:38:58

I do find it a bit off that you associate Aberdeen and speaking Gaelic with backwardness, but its just to be expected from some, I guess.

On ye go, knock yer pan in.

Oreo Fri 24-Mar-23 22:32:37

Having you on? Never!😂

volver3 Fri 24-Mar-23 22:29:50

Aberdonians haven't spoken Gaelic for centuries. Did you mean Doric?

I think you're having me on.

Trust me, I'm a teuchter.

Oreo Fri 24-Mar-23 22:22:48

Don’t you have a sense of humour Volver3 ?
I can't help being a thicko, I was brought up only speaking Gaelic, living in a broken down caravan in the back of beyond somewhere in Aberdeen. We had ten backward toddlers in the family.🤪

volver3 Fri 24-Mar-23 22:15:32

Mollygo

SNP, Westminster, Scotland, NS, BJ whatever.
Oreo please don’t criticise VD. You know it upsets her. She is allowed her ideas, as are we, even her use of jings - often used by backward toddlers.

Scottish ones.

Called Willie.

Some days its like dealing with slightly backward toddlers...

Right then.

Why does he have to deal with 45 SNP Members of Westminster?

It'll be after an election so there could be any number of SNP MPs between 0 and 59. Because there will have been an election.
Why does he have to "deal with them"? He has to work with them, same as he has to work with the DUP, the Lib Dems and Count Binface, if he manages to beat Johnson.
He just has to get on with it.

Do you understand how Westminster works?

Do you understand how Westminster works?
Starmer doesn’t have to beat Johnson
The PM is called Rishi Sunak.
Hope that helps.

Not so good at understanding English then?

Count Binface is going to stand against Johnston in Uxbridge, and Starmer will have to work with him if he - Binface - beats
Johnston.

Nice try, but as I said, "rather backward toddlers."

Insult to toddlers though.
