Regarding the fact that there are "Scottish Voices” at Westminster...

If you are of the opinion that Scotland is just another region of the UK, like Yorkshire or Surrey, for instance, that equal representation for equal population is perfectly valid. However Scotland is a country that entered into a voluntary union with England but is only give a 10% representation in the government of the Union. I can rant for ages about the Parcel o’ Rogues who got us into this position, but I’ll desist just now.

The smallest countries in the EU have an equal say to the largest, and can pass laws for their own countries, but that’s not the case in the UK. The Westminster government can over-rule an act passed in the Scottish Parliament by a huge majority of MSPs from all parties. And they recently have, haven’t they? Putting us in our place, and telling us that we are subservient to what the big boys down in Westminster want.

So admonitions that we have nothing to complain about because we have “a voice in Westminster” aren’t going to cut it any more.

At FMQs yesterday the party leaders gave their farewell speeches to Nicola and managed to focus on the positives. Her sense of duty, her fairness, her work ethic. Ross threw a little tantrum and stamped his little unionist feet, telling us basically she didn't do what he wanted her to. Sad, inadequate little man.

Paddyann I suggest that you look at the actual facts concerning the SNP itself as well as it's dire record in government. Also look at it's proven record of withholding information.

Strange that the msm can focus on 600,000 of supposedly missing funds from the SNP's accounts, but can ignore 14 billion in fraudulent PPE contracts, it can also comment on the late delivery of the ferries, but remains quite on the 4 billion overspend late queen Elizabeth line, the 5.5.5 billion on tanks unfit for purpose or the black hole and failure of the hs2 project.
One would tend to think that the msm had an alternative agenda.

The constant attacks on the Scottish government, the SNP and the outgoing fm,the misinformation that is a daily part of the media around Scottish affairs. The use of English experts and tory mps to comment on the performance of the Scottish government. And of course the exclusion of any positive stories about Scotland, would suggest that the media is trying to hide the truth.
Fearmongering, misdirection, misinformation mistruths are all part of the Westminster establishment propaganda drive to stop independence.
The Westminster establishment fears the truth, because when the population understands that it has been lied too for so long that's when their grip is lost.
The brainwashing of the British public has been a fact of life for generations, flag waving nationalism encouraged to hid the fact that a small percentage of the population gain while the majority suffer.
Subliminal messages via the television and education system have implanted a false version of history in the minds of the population aiming to control and subdue any negative thoughts towards the so called ruling classes.
Therfore we must continue to challenge the lies, share the facts and evidence that disproves the claims of the Westminster establishment.
We must do so in a calm articulate way that will get the message and the truth out to a wider community.
It is time to turn the tide of falsehood spread by the Westminster establishment, and let the truth be known.

Don't forget all those Scottish Prime ministers, chancellors and ministers over the years. Scotland certainly has a voice at Westminster.
