So.......what happened about those balloons?

Top of the news stories a few weeks back were the so=called spy balloons over USA, then shot down, in interest of 'national security'.

Gone so quiet since then - so what were they - just the weather balloons of course as Chinese claimed, aliens, or (the later ones) jut spoofs by students?

All a 5-minute wonder - the fact that the US let it fly from Alaska all the way to South Carolina shows that it was never anything sinister.

They've moved on to TikTok.

I think they shot them all down in the end "to save face".

However, the reason they were being discovered was said to be that they now have better instruments observing the skies. So why have there been none spied since? Did the Chinese (or whoever) stop sending them because they realised their game was up? Do they now get automatically shot down or disabled at the border? Have the news channels stopped bothering to mention them as they have become commonplace?
