Read it in the paper this morning.
Primary parents tend to come in and demand that everyone is told so they don’t make a fuss if children go to the wrong toilets.
This is new-and since you would report any other behaviours that affect children at school, on safeguarding grounds, I don’t quite see how they justify this.
In my experience, they tend to broadcast their demands to be referred to by new names and demand that children who don’t use the appropriate pronouns when talking about them should be punished. They may change their pronouns and their names several times. Which other pupils would be allowed to twist the system?
They, especially pre-teens, may also bully other children into joining their group. As with any bullies the rule is, “You’re in the group or we’ll make your life a misery”. Once in the group you have to show that you are suffering in order to remain in favour with the ring leader.

They tend to publicise their change on WhatsApp or other social media, so if the parents aren’t aware of what’s going on, without being told by school, that’s an issue for them to address.
Or does this gender demand only apply in school, where children can work the system?
Perhaps it’s time parents informed school, not the other way round.
When writing reports, I wonder if teachers should refer to children by their new name and new pronouns.
If school accepts the child’s gender demands, should teachers lie on reports?

I’m not sure how it can be addressed.
A previously outstanding school was downgraded to needing improvement on safeguarding. The safeguarding issue was a child inadvertently being mispronouned.
No doubt if a parent makes a legal challenge to not having safeguarding information about their child’s use of new name/gender the parent risks being accused of emotional abuse.

Whatever you think about KJK do you honestly believe this was justifiable? I'm horrified at this violent baying mob. They're like a load of pack animals baying for blood. They want her out but surround her in a crush trying to get to her. If you think this is acceptable behaviour then you disgust me as much as that mob. Those crowds stormed the barriers that were to separate them from the rotunda. I can't see any police that enforced the barriers, can you? No as Jumblygran confirmed in her post they were a distance away, and didn't make themselves available until they were almost to the police cars.
Given that there were efforts to refuse her entry visa on the grounds her presence could promote disruption and violence wouldn't you think there'd have been a strong police presence near to the rotunda maintaining distance between speakers and protestors?
Incidentally the Nazis loved cross dressers, there are photos of Nazi soldiers cross dressing. As for 'no true feminist' that's akin to 'no true Scotsman' or according to Humza 'no true transwoman'

It's not a left/right issue, if you read some of the information coming out about the tavistock for example, it is beyond horrifying, way beyond left versus right.

You arent saying transmen dont exist again are you. You make this point every time. I reply every time by pointing out that GC feminists talk about transmen a lot, particularly the highlighting of the detransition rate amongst transmen, and the concerns being raised that many of these girls/young women have experienced trauma or are autistic, and what that might mean in terms of their relationship to their bodies.

I don’t think anybody can accuse the Communist Party of being right wing.

Ok Let's start with a bit of history. The first sex clinic for treating transgender patients was in Berlin in the 1930s-Guess who shut it down, imprisoned and tortured anyone they considered to be deviant or sexually questionable- the Nazis! So maybe it is just coincidence they turn up at the rallies organised by Posie Parker, but she should be aware that for many people her views align with those of the Nazis and this time those people aren't going to go quietly

As for feminism. No true feminist condemns someone because they want to change gender. After all some of those they are condemning they regard as women. They just don't want to talk about them but transmen do exist.

'No true feminist'? There are plenty of feminists (you don't get to decide who is true and who is false) who do not accept that gender exists, or who think that if it does it is a tool of the patriarchy. So-called 'gender' is just a set of norms that have been applied to sex. Sex - the immutable characteristic that people are born and die with.

People are free to take on a different range of norms if they wish. They were free to do so before 'transitioning' became fashionable. It was all the rage in the 70s and 80s. In the days when men who wore eye liner were 'sexually ambiguous', and maybe even gay! Not 'in the wrong body' and really women. And not straight men who want to have sex with women but also want to exert power over them in what used to be single sex spaces.

A cursory glance at the TRAs in the NZ crowd doesn't suggest that they have been overcome by an urge to adopt 'female gender norms', does it? I'm not sure what they are, exactly, but I don't think that fury, anger, hatred and thuggery have ever been associated with female 'gender'.

No true feminist condemns someone because they want to change gender agreed, which is why condemnation is for all the things that are listed time and time again in these discussions. Access to biological men to safe spaces for women, unfair competition in sports, insulting and threatening rhetoric from trans activists and their supporters etc etc.
