This assumption that there will be no provision?
Reducing 7000 to 1 in 2000 is the best I’ve heard from you V3. How lucky for each of those 7000 to know that for each of them there are 1,999 children without their problems. I’m sure they and their parents will be reassured.

Soup throwing again
(470 Posts)Over Posie Parker (as was. Kelly forgot the rest of her name)
On her NZ tour.
I dont do links, but it's probably easy to find.
The person who threw it followed up with a quick speech, saying something like she wished it was blood, or next time it should be blood. I couldnt really hear clearly.
Why such vitriol and violence?
(If there is another thread about this, apologies.)

Doesn't the figure of 7000 children with gender dysphoria ring alarm bells volver?
That's a hell of a lot, that's not counting the numbers that have passed through the Tavistock, maybe a copy of the book might enlighten you .
Its not "a hell of a lot". It's one in 2000 who want help. I'm not commenting on the treatment they might have had.
But saying we should be grateful that they had no treatment at all is not nice.
Really difficult to comment on the success rates in any way because of the data issues. It's what provision should be offered that no one appears to be able to answer because there hasnt been follow up, not just at the tavistock. I am guessing any treatment will be based on the Cass Report, and the issue about numbers and demographics is one that needs looking at. So why was/is there a high prevalence of children with autism for example. Yes parents must be in despair that treatment was offered with scant or no evidence as to why it was being offered.
There's no "may" about it, Tavistock did fail some children. Of course there needs to be provision but that needs to be properly monitored and controlled and Tavistock clearly
wasn't.
If one clinic failed children and the investigation recommended the setting up of two local clinics to deal with children, how on earth can it be OK that there will soon be no provision for them? The Tavistock may have failed some children, no provision fails them all.
If you are a parent or grandparent with a child who needs help you must be in despair.

Maybe be hopeful volver that when they do get help, it's the right kind.
I wonder what makes them think that behaving in such a way furthers their cause grannydarkhair? You have to admire Billboard Chris for his courage and composure.
The article below is titled “Top Trans Doctors Blow The Whistle On “Sloppy” Care.

Yet more TRA violence.
Billboard Chris is a father of two girls and travels across North America wearing a billboard to expose gender ideology and why children cannot consent to medical transition. I’ve seen quite a few of his interviews, he’s willing to talk to anyone about why he’s doing what he’s doing. He’s always very calm and polite.
What makes the violence perpetrated here so shocking is the amount of police officers who are actually surrounding them who only intervene when Chris is actually physically attacked and reacts by pushing his assailant away.
Just before the person with the blond hair attacks him, the interviewer asks Chris “how do you keep your composure?” The blond haired person has been constantly screaming obscenities in Chris’s face whilst he’s being interviewed and is clearly enraged by being ignored.

One of the officers is then asked about the incident. She openly lies and says it’s Chris’s own fault as he was shouting at the TRAs and provoking them. The camera man challenges her (admittedly not very politely) and she cuts him off and walks away.

There are photos of officers standing watching the assault, they are openly laughing.

As no one appears to know what kind of help would be helpful perhaps that might be a starting point instead of blindly ploughing onwards. Might be useful to identify what support works before 'helping'.
I admit I don't know much about the Tavistock; nothing at all really.
But I can't be "thankful" that 7000 children who need help now won't get it.
Let's be thankful those 7000 children on the waiting list were never seen, Glorianny
I have just started it Birdie.
No there's nothing to celebrate about a clinic that was set up to help children with gender dysphoria having to be closed because long term and in some cases irreparable damage was done to some it was supposed to be helping.
For some truth and facts can I recommend " Time to Think" by Hannah Barnes, the inside story of the collapse of the Tavistocks gender service for children...
They have been failed comprehensively in most countries as those working in the field are now saying. Nobody is celebrating. We have no real idea whether it helped children or not as there was failure with follow up and data collection. Not just in the tavistock. They are not unique.
The failure of the Tavistock clinic, its closure and the lack of provision for children suffering from gender dysphoria is nothing to celebrate or indeed to regard as a positive. The clinic had about 7000 children on its waiting list. The proposed regional clinics will not open this spring and may not open in June.
The Tavistock failed to deal with a huge increase in children presenting with gender problems for many reasons. But it helped some children. There is nothing to replace it so all children with gender dysphoria are now being failed.

I’ve seen two people interviewed on the television news over the last year. Both of them had surgery at a fairly young age. Both of them totally regret what happened to them and said that they were given drugs to suppress puberty at a very young age after very little exploration by the medics, and both went on to have life changing surgery. They both now say that insufficient attention was given to their mental health issues which were actually the real problem. They are now in their twenties and have attempted to transition back, but of course it’s difficult to do that if there’s been surgery. They are trying to live the best lives they can but their lives have been blighted according to them. They are very brave to speak out in my opinion. One of them was treated at the now discredited Tavistock Clinic. I can’t remember if the other was treated there.
Yes Galaxy and of all those children who were considered old enough to make life changing decisions (Like SB in a different context) many of them are faced with blighted futures.
The last figure I saw for legal action against the tavistock was a thousand families, I hope for everyones sake that isnt true, but it will be a large number. There are very serious concerns about the approach that was taken with regard to children, including concerns about social affirmation, the approach led to young people having surgery which many now regret. With no evidence base or follow up. Even in America many of the surgeons who work in the field are saying that there have been serious errors made.

Glorianny the only criminal assault in NZ were committed by Trans activists.
But Eli who poured the tomato juice has had death threats and has escaped to Australia for safety.
She describes how the security men assaulted her.
Police and security men prevented a woman reaching the stage and speaking by dragging her to the ground. There is evidence of that.
And yet you claim you want women to be able to speak. She fled from the safety of the NZ police force, who wished to question her.
The footage I've seen, is of a portly man of around 40/50 years of age, wearing sunglasses, looking the other way when Eli tipped the juice over pp head. By the time he became aware it was over with.
He tried to grab the juice (better get it right, not soup or I'll be for the high jump) out of Eli's hand but she was quicker and threw the rest of it over him.
So, really 2 4 1 re tomato juice -fiasco- assault.
Eli was filmed speaking about her assault on pp, on the very podium where it happened.
Saying triumphantly something along the lines of:
'I poured TJ over her, (incoherent for a word or two) it should be/next time it could be/next time it will be, blood.
blood, because she calls for our genocide'
She didn't seem troubled by any threats as she smiled and shouted to the crowd.
She bore no obvious marks of assault.
She showed NO signs of fear of the crowd or need to flee for her safety.
More to the point
SHE NEVER DECLARED ANY TYPE OF ASSAULT over the microphone to her associates who were all cheering and whooping.
Why not?
Don't you think if she really truthfully had been assaulted in any way, she would have run to Aus.?
No, she would have run like the wind to the safety of the NZ police, whilst her injuries were visible.
Next stop websites with photo's and Newspapers with her evidence and milked it for all it's worth.
Just makes sense based on the video evidence and her behaviour.
No need to obscure the argument with anything else.
Could you link to the footage of Eli speaking please. The last view of her after the juice incident is of her being carried off by security men.
How did she get back to the podium?
Well, thats just the way the ideology works, isn't it Callistemon
Talk about caring, sharing, love, and equality.
But create discontent, fear, and violence.
It seems to work quite well, at times
Eli Rubashkin has been charged with assault. She has fled to Australia or it could be Anerica, the information is unclear.
She said "But love is so powerful, so universal, it is everywhere. It is almost like the oxygen of the universe."
An odd thing to say by someone who has just been charged with assault against another person.
Love thine enemy?

Your statement still stands.
If your views were acceptable and reasonable you would have no need to twist the truth.
