Just watching Frank Sinatra on BBC 2. For me, they don't make them like they used to do. I haven't enjoyed a TV performance so much for a long time. He makes his performance look so effortless. Lovely music. It was made 53 years ago! I am getting old.

Oh yes I'm enjoying the programmes too (all 3). Always loved ol' blue eyes - what a voice and what a life he had! Seeing Ella Fitzgerald again with her magical voice brought back many happy memories.

Me too, LRavenscroft. Hadn’t realised he was born in 1915, 32 years older than me, but I loved his voice.

I'm going to watch all of these this afternoon. I grew up listening to Dad's Sinatra records. They will bring back fond memories.

Will be watching on BBC I Player as couldn’t do so yesterday. Agree he was unique. Loved him. He learnt his techniques from singing with the big bands of the day and his greatest recordings were on the Capital label. We had those recordings at home in the fifties.

Lucky you Annie. I loved Frank. There is a lovely clip of him on YouTube singing with Elvis. Fantastic.
