Funny that, they are territorial little creatures!!

You may see a breeding pair together at this time of year but at other times eg winter, they are solitary and do not like other robins invading their territory.

I had an aunt - my mother’s sister - who always had to ‘top’ whatever you said - bigger, better, more beautiful, more lavish, more expensive, etc.

While my folks were once picking me up from Heathrow, my mother started telling me about a neighbour who had recently been diagnosed with some extremely rare disease.

Fairly typically, my father came up at once with, ‘For God’s sake don’t tell Trudy - she’ll know someone who’s had it twice.’ 😂
