Good morning from sunny N. Bucks .
Lovely day yesterday with DGS and very productive as the photo shows.

An hour with the two boys this morning while their Mum goes to an exercise class,
Lunch with two friends and Flower Club this evening.
Wishing all a good day.

Good morning all from a slightly frosty, but bright, North Leicestershire.

We have a man coming to advise on a new floor for the kitchen this morning and this afternoon going to see DD1 in hospital. She has a very low white blood cell count.

Yesterday's Carer's course went well. It was the last of the session and we always have cake. Stupidly, I ate some Rocky Road which I though was gf - it wasn't!! Big mistake!!

Have the best day possible everyone!

Good morning from a sunny but -4degrees Oxfordshire, yesterdays Optician appointment was interesting, the OCT testing showed the inside of the eyes which the Optician was able to read, I wouldn’t have recognised it as the interior of an eye at all , I need to go again in a years time, my readings are either normal for me, (but as I haven’t had the test before she needs to make sure) or I will have to go to the Eye Hospital for a further look. Needless to say 2 new pairs of glasses and several hundred pounds spent.
Traffic to get there was horrendous, parking was also difficult and I was late! 45 minutes to do a normally 12 minute journey, of course it’s school holidays and I think lots of people were going to the river, even though everywhere is flooded.
Shopping delivery today, then planning the Summer garden.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all from a fresh sunny North Yorkshire. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed exploring our part of the world Shazza, I used to work in Pickering and live nearby. The area looks particularly beautiful in Spring. I’m going to be doing more gardening related stuff today then later we’re taking Dgd for her first swimming lesson. Lots more washing to do also. Hope everyone has a stress free day.

Good morning from a dry Co Durham.
An exciting day in prospect as our new settee I’d being delivered today. It doesn’t take much to please me !!
Yesterday was a lost day, spending two hours trying to connect a second hand printer to laptop with no success at all. Dd has offered to buy me a new one and have it installed for me. Then spent over an hour speaking to my mobile phone provider to organise a new iPhone. It’s so frustrating when you can’t talk to a human being. Eventually manage to speak to a lovely young man and the phone is being delivered today.
Hope all goes well grandMattie, they are lucky to have you.
I’ve a Sainsburys delivery at 9 so I’ll sign off.
Hope all goes well for everyone.

Good morning all and although sunny there’s a frost here in Essex.
I knew it was colder as I was chilly in bed (unusual for me).

Dh is taking the teenage twins to do some work in a large garden. They are off from college, so making some much needed money to save for driving lessons. So expensive now!
Good for them to earn their own money. 👬.

I have my Bridge Club this afternoon and will walk little pooch over the fields this morning, as the frost should have hardened up the ground . It’s been so muddy.

Sar I hope you’re feeling better and enjoying your time with all your girls.

GM keep your chin up. You’re nearly there! 💐.

Ash congrats to your talented dancer. . 🩰.

Take care 🌷

Good morning all from a bright & sunny Sefton. Hope it stays sunny so that I can get my washing out as it didn't get done yesterday, just need a bit of a breeze for perfect drying weather. Had a really enjoyable day yesterday - singing group in the morning, afternoon with 3 yr old GD & WI meeting, involving chocolate, in the evening. Was really tired after all that but had a very disturbed night - must have been too much excitement!
A quieter day today. Zoom strength class first thing. New blinds being fitted this morning, then a visit to the fish man. Rest of the day " at leisure".
You will love Salzburg LLFL & isn't Melk Abbey stunning. We did Budapest to Amsterdam river cruise some years ago. One of the best holidays ever. Stunning scenery, all that history. The only drawback was the very stiff neck from admiring all those wonderful frescoed ceilings , of which there were many. Stiff necks always now referred to as "baroque neck". Cannot believe you have to be "approved" grandMattie. They obviously don't realise how lucky they'll be to have you as a resident. They should follow "gransnet"!
Take care all.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny but cold South Yorkshire. Sleep was dogged by very strange disturbing dreams. Had a nice walk with a new group yesterday in one of our lovely local parks, part of which is wooded. There should be bluebells soon and the starry flowers of wild garlic . I managed to double the distance I’ve been walking on my new hip so that was very encouraging. Then I had coffee with my niece and her daughter and lovely baby granddaughter before going home to meet the gardener who is going to give me a quote for getting my acres😂 into shape! Today will be a domestics day, and I’ll make a chilli. If there is time I might give the car a wash.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton. Washing is in the machine and almost ready to be hung out and make the most of today's lovely forecast drying weather.

Felt very stretched after yesterday's yoga, and really enjoyed seeing everyone again. After lunch I cut the back grass, which was really hard going as it hadn't been done for almost six weeks. Then I set to and got the shears out and trimmed the edges, then weeded the patio border.

A morning of pottering, early lunch and out to a health walk. An appointment at the surgery for a blood pressure check follows, and then I shall have a 10 minute walk to Next to pick up the new tops I ordered last week.

grandMattie hope that everything is soon sorted for you!

LLFL, enjoy Salzburg, but it's a very long drive from the Danube! I did the same on our Danube cruise, and it took ages, plus there was a traffic hold-up on the Autobahn. But it was worth it! Funnily enough it was Easter when I went and there was a lovely Easter market in the city centre, where I bought lovely gifts for the DGDs.

Hope everyone can enjoy some spring sunshine today.

Good morning from a dry and sunny NE where it is 2 degrees.
I have woken with a sore back, I spent yesterday washing and ironing. I went into the garden for some fresh air and decided to spray the weeds.
Need to write a shopping list for tomorrow, DD is coming to the UK for ten days so I need vegetarian food as well as the usual weekly shop.
Premium bonds were successful again this month, better return than any bank account.
Have a good day.

BlueBalou Tue 04-Apr-23 07:24:43

Good morning from sunny Wiltshire, clear blue skies and chilly but so good after all train!
Yesterday was busy, DDog walked early before going into town to order materials for the patio, get the car washed, fill up with petrol, do some shopping, and back before having my nails done and cooking lunch. I did some bits in the greenhouse in the afternoon and subsequently slept very badly as I do when I’ve overdone it. I must take the car to my lovely mechanic neighbour for a new indicator bulb this morning then I can hopefully do some weeding in the sunshine.
DD arrived later hast evening, she’s off to a meeting today so we have her DDog.
I do hope everything goes smoothly GM, this woman’s behaviour does seem unreasonable to me.
Take care everyone, enjoy the sunshine!

Morning all

Blue sky and sunny here, we have the 8 yr old and The Imp today, we may go to the beach to look for shells and let them run off some energy.

A big change for you grandMattie goodbyes are hard 🌹🌹

Beechnut Tue 04-Apr-23 07:13:59

Good Morning everyone from Severnside.

Another sunny day is on the cards so I shall spend today swimming and gardening. I’ve some weeds to clear ready for a job I want to do. I spent a lot of time weeding yesterday and planted a few new plants.

Aha Mattie I wondered if you lived in Sandwich as you mentioned the walls and Cinque ports. We spent my 60th in the area staying just outside Deal.
Congratulations to your granddaughter Ash.

Have a lovely day all 🌺🦩

Ashcombe Tue 04-Apr-23 06:50:51

Good morning from a fine and calm Torbay.

Yesterday, my DGD came first in her group for ballet at a dance festival in Winsford. Recently, she received dance exam results for which she achieved distinctions in ballet (grade 3), modern (grade 2) and tap (grade 2). Her enthusiasm and commitment show no signs of diminishing but I should give credit to her teacher who inspires all her pupils to achieve well.

Props at the Theatre this morning then this afternoon I’m going to attend a talk being given by a policeman on keeping safe, which is being organised by our church social club.

I do hope your DD can resolve the situation for you at your new home, grandMattie. The tulips are a beautiful colour! These farewells aren’t easy but you have a whole new chapter beginning with the opportunity to make new friends as you pursue your interests after you’ve moved.

Salzburg is a delightful town to visit, Ladyleftfieldlover, with its musical connections, both past and more recent! 🎶 Have a wonderful day!

Enjoy whatever you’ve planned for today! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

karmalady Tue 04-Apr-23 06:38:57

good morning, s somerset will be sunny and I will be going out, somewhere, anywhere

Gm, almost done and almost through the stress. flowers

Yesterday was a marvellous full day, cycling, pottering, chatting to a dd while she mentally sorted a decision wrt work. Sometimes it is better the devil you know. It is nice to be able to be supportive

I have ordered 30 more sedum ground cover plants, I can now see the gaps. I don`t have grass just sedums with flowers and fruit and far fewer weedlings

Grandmabatty Tue 04-Apr-23 06:38:29

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° with clear skies. There's a shepherd's warning in the rosy glow of the clouds. Grandmattie it all sounds very distressing for you. I hope it is resolved soon. Ladyleftfieldlover I'd love to visit Salzburg. Have a lovely time.
Yesterday was busy and fun with the boys. The weather was glorious too so we got outside. I was exhausted and fell asleep just after dinner.
Today will be more of the same albeit a little later. I'll have to go to Aldi with them as I've run out of food. We might go to the big park of the weather stays fine. Chicken curry for dinner. Have a good day all.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 04-Apr-23 06:27:50

Quick morning everyone! We are off to Salzburg shortly. Have a good day.

grandMattie Tue 04-Apr-23 06:14:52

Dad = DD 🤬

grandMattie Tue 04-Apr-23 06:14:28

Good morning from a dawning E Kent. The birds are singing their little hearts out.
Having worried that someone local might take exception to some of my comments, I never confessed to living in Sandwich. As I’m leaving, I don’t care anymore! When we first moved here, DGD1 who was about 5, found the name very puzzling, and wondered why it wasn’t called after her favourite bagel or pasta!
Received a terse mail from the warden re. the appraisal and my approval to live in the sheltered accommodation. She is referring me to the “homeownership team”. Is this never going to end? Dad is calling to ask for expedition, duevtom6 distress and homelessness. Good girl.
The gardener came unexpectedly yesterday and emptied the pots to be taken, so I cut the tulips. They were looking particularly pretty.
I’ve got my last cheap haircut (£14] this morning, last meeting with my T’ai Chi friends, the last chiropodist appointment. A lot of goodbyes 😢
Hope all goes well with you, unwellness tolerable amd much love around. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but a dry start here in brackley this morning.
My usual routine at going to Bicester on the bus this morning, returning direct home for lunch .
What I have noticed waiting to get the bus in the mornings is the local traffic although the town as aby pass the vehicle numbers seemed to have dropped this past few years.
Take Care,
Mick
