does your water supplier put Fluoride in the water?

Interesting. I thought fluoride was added everywhere as a result of findings many years ago that it prevented dental decay. Perhaps Steve Barclay should look into this when he's not dealing with our underfunded NHS.

I was under the impression it wasn’t a good thing and best not to do. As was not giving it to children due to discolouration of teeth at the very least. This was common place maybe 40 or fewer years ago where water was not fluoride enhanced.

As far as i know South Staffs do put fluoride in the water.
I have never heard of fluoride tablets,how interesting.

Our current water supplier does not add fluoride. It points out there is a low level present naturally. We also gave fluoride tablets to our children who both have excellent teeth.

I used to give my first daughter, in the early 70s, a daily pink fluoride pill, for her first six years. She didn’t have her first filling until her late forties.

My children benefitted from fluoride tablets too. None of my four have a single filling.

We lived in Coventry in the early 1980s when it came in. Our dentist was really pleased and said it was the best news for my children's teeth.
There was a local lady who protested loud and long on the television about it; she didn't have a tooth in her head 🤦

Our current authority also supplies fluoridated water.

Northumbrian Water add it to about 40% of their supply. Where that eventually ends up, I don’t know.

I live in the West Midlands and we have had artificial fluoride added since around 1986. No choice in the matter they just did it.

I should have said, by Welsh Water. I don’t know about other water companies operating on the borders or in North Wales.

Some of my water supplier's areas have fluoride added, but it is dependent on UK Health Security Agency and local authorities.

Yes - been happening for many years now. Since the 1960s.
