DD has phoned the garage and they say it will be safe to drive to London! Fingers crossed!
RAC have arranged a tow truck for DH’s car this morning and our local garage, who are now closed for the hols., have given us the code for the gate so we can leave the car in their yard. Phew!

My car started showing the engine warning light on the school run last Friday. Apparently it's safe to drive on amber but not if it turns to red. Hmmm.

I have an appointment booked for the service department diagnostics team next Wednesday, in the meantime I've had four children all day today and didn't dare go out in the car!

Fingers crossed your daughter's car is easily fixed Nandalot 🤞

Oh, that really is rotten luck! Hope that you get sorted out very soon and enjoy your birthday and the Harry Potter trip. 💐

Well, it started yesterday. DH tried to start car and there was a huge clunk and then nothing happened. Phoned RAC this morning but obviously not priority as on driveway so still waiting. DD took me out for tea ( it is my birthday and she didn’t want the day completely ruined.). Her, newly bought , secondhand car then started to show an orange engine warning light. Waiting for a call back from her garage who is 40 miles away.
The big problem is that we are all booked for two nights away to visit Harry Potter Studios and the new Tottenham stadium for our twin grandchildren’s birthday.
I can see us having to hire a car!
