Reminds me of school maths problems, they confused me as well.

That’s how I read it infoman and have no explanation

I m presuming you bought £50 worth of goods and were expecting 5% reward which would have been £2.50 off meaning you pay £47.50
Is that what you meant and expected or am I completely up the wall I m not the best at maths

I totally agree.

Sorry not intended to confuse, posted in haste is my only excuse.
It was one of those blanket e-mails you get now and then.
It was digital card sent to you via email,so why charge for delivery?

That is totally bizarre!

GagaJo

Using an online (digital) card offers a 5% discount on an order of £50.

But there is a charge of 69 pence for the transaction.

Thus reducing the 5% discount to about 4%. AKA a bit of a scam.

Presumably the discount applies to transactions of “£50 or over “ so if the bill was £150 the transaction charge represents a smaller percentage?

Better than nothing though. Now why couldn’t OP have explained that?

I’m totally confused. Perhaps OP could return to explain?

FannyCornforth Fri 07-Apr-23 10:04:46

So did I BlueBelle
I’m still rather confused

BlueBelle Fri 07-Apr-23 09:56:12

It thought it meant delivery of the bonus card 😂
Ahh well obviously me gone down the wrong route 😂

Largolass Fri 07-Apr-23 09:54:13

Sainsbury’s charge for delivery unless you have a pre paid Delivery Pass.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 07-Apr-23 09:50:12

Don’t all supermarkets charge for delivery?

rosie1959 Fri 07-Apr-23 08:15:47

5% discount on £50 isn’t a huge amount so could easily be taken up by delivery charge especially if you pick prime time delivery spots can be avoided by choosing a £1 flexi delivery or click and collect.
They obviously charge for delivery

BlueBelle Fri 07-Apr-23 08:03:19

Don’t know anything about Sainsbury’s offers we don’t have one here but presume you are being charged 69p delivery charge when it s all done online, sounds a blooming cheek

Foxygloves Fri 07-Apr-23 06:36:03

What is this about please? I'm not aware of it hmmconfused

infoman Fri 07-Apr-23 05:32:12
