Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight here in brackley , but dry and chilly outside .
Yesterdays trip to Bicester went OK regardless of the slight cold chill in the air , I did manage to pace myself walking and never felt breathless a good sign for me .
Today , I will watch cycling the best part of the day on TV .
Lunch wise Leg of Lamb steaks with Jersey Royals and peas.
Take Care,
Mick

FannyCornforth she is so adorable.

I left GN because I found some of the posters quite unkind. I have just found this lovely thread and just wanted to wish you all a very happy Easter from a bright but chilly north east of Scotland.

Hello everyone
Popping in to wish you all a happy and blessed Easter x

The Easter bunny is exhausted after all her hard work

Happy Easter all from a sunny Black country.
Well we made it to Spain, a nice break and change of scenery didn't do much DH still troubled by his cough it appears to be less chesty but he is still not sleeping properly.
The boys enjoyed themselves in the pool and and small adventure park, DiL had a great time swimming in the med, although unfortunately she was unwell on her birthday so never managed her planned early morning dip.
Well it's back to normal now washing all done just the dreaded ironing.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning Mick and all and Happy Easter 💐
Damned virus subsiding, still coughing, but feeling slightly more like myself. Off for a walk in the sunny sand dunes wrapped up, first time out for days. It should be good for me.
Enjoyed a nice face time with DD in the south and will read through later.

Happy Easter
My biggest dilema today is whether to cook a roast or do a buffet smile all the family are here, so nice to see everyone

Good morning and Happy Easter to you all. I’ve not been able to catch up with all your news after a dire reaction to eating some commercial imported Hot Cross buns. One wouldn’t think a bread product could cause so much havoc but I should know better, it’s the reason I normally eat Ryvita instead of bread.

I’m feeling much better today and will try to catch up with all your plans.

Just popped on to say Happy Easter to everyone 🐰🐰

Good morning all from another beautiful sunny day in Glasgow.

DD1 and the girls will be arriving later for our Easter egg hunt, hope I can remember where I hid them! Following the egg theme, the fun continues with an egg and spoon race and first time this year, lunch in the garden. 🐣 happy easter.
I spent most of yesterday pottering about in the garden. At one point I even thought it was warm enough to wear shorts. Oh, treading on dangerous territory there, I would have to iron my legs first. 😂

Lovely to see you here this morning Bellasnana. What a fabulous surprise your DD arriving and Happy 1st birthday to your twin GSs 🎂

Hoping a pleasant day is ahead for all.

Morning from an overcast S Yorks.

I just knew it was Monsaldale, Greyduster by the pic. Hooray for getting out there.

I'm off to Quakers and have a garden must do job whilst the weather holds - mosskiller on my garden path. Gardener going on Wednesday but its due to be wet then.

Have the best Easter you can all, sympathies for poorlies and family poorlies.

Good morning and Happy Easter from the Scottish Borders.
Nowt much here but a lovely sunny day so gardening, knitting and reading in the garden for me.
I may go to evensong at the church where DH is memorialised.
Aw Bellasnanna what a wonderful surprise.
My NZ DS did the same on his DGP 60th wedding anniversary. His brother was late arriving at the hotel and we were getting impatient but DD was in on the surprise so tried to keep all calm while both brothers arrived together straight from the airport.
Thanks for the memory.
And happy birthday those twins. grin

Good morning. We were up early as the Easter Bunny had visited d two little boys excitedly search for eggs and other Easter treats. They have now gone off to visit some of SILs relatives who live nearby.
So, an adult day for us but not yet decided what to do.
Hope today includes a smile for all.

Happy Easter all. Late night last night as rare night out for hubby and me went to a Bruce Springsteen tribute night fab! Had a lovely night with youngest son out with us. Quiet day lunch together then visiting son number two as it’s our grandsons birthday. Good bless all x

grandMattie Sun 09-Apr-23 09:05:38

Foxy, I had thought of AirB&B, but. Bless her, DD won’t countenance it for a fortnight. I have a possible date of 28th.

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 09-Apr-23 09:04:20

Good morning and a very Happy Easter from a dull and cloudy Oxfordshire.
MissOops, dog and nephew will be here for lunch and have requested Spag Bol ! Oh well I’ll save the roast for next week when MzOops and family will all be here.
Have a good day everyone and I hope the sun shines on you all.

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle where another lovely day beckons.
Yesterday, I paid a lengthy visit to the garden centre and filled a trolley with replacements for the plants that didn't make it through last winter. Now I have lots to do out in the garden, it's that time of year when, suddenly, it's all go out there. I'm going to make a start shortly as, judging by the weather forecast, it will be a day inside tomorrow.
I should have been visiting my sister and brother this weekend but no trains! We have to be bussed down to north Lancs to pick up a train there and then I'd have to change in Manchester. Too much faffing about so I'll go another time.

Do have a lovely day everyone.

Jaxjacky Sun 09-Apr-23 08:56:32

Morning from a cloudy S Hants., MrJ is full of cold, he can keep it to himself!
Might see my daughter and grandchildren today, granddaughter was feeling a bit sicky yesterday, so we’ll see, gammon shanks for dinner.
Happy Easter to you all, enjoy your meet ups, or time doing your own thing, thoughts with those absent.

Good morning from me and a Happy Easter 🐣 to you all.
May this morning’s sunshine warm your hearts and if you can be with those you love, treasure the moment!
My visit to the sisters in law came seriously under threat as the major brake issue I had repaired on my car two months ago seems to have recurred and the lovely AA man pronounced it unsafe to drive. It will be recovered to the dealership when they reopen on Tuesday but I am not happy as you can imagine. There are no trains into Euston this weekend but a kind neighbour will drive me to Bedford to get a train to St Pancras and then the tube. It’s a faff but the alternative of a housebound cheese sandwich on my own was a sad prospect.
I am glad your Easter Sunday looks a lot brighter now, BlueSapphire ! It sounds lovely.
I too was awake in the wee small hours GrandMattie and understand your wobbles. Had you thought of perhaps renting an AirBnB for part of the time before you move into your flat to give you breathing space? I assume much of your stuff will have to go into store but it might relieve you of some of the pressure.
With gentle thoughts to you all.

Newquay Sun 09-Apr-23 08:52:02

Happy Easter to you all from a “lurker”
Thinking of those alone at this time.
DH and I are going to visit our former church to worship with them today. We had the sad news of a sudden and completely unexpected death of one of their Elders. Not unexpected to the Lord he has faithfully served all these years of course!
We’ll miss the adult baptism of 8 at our current Church but we both want to be alongside other folk at this difficult time.
This is the rest of our faith isn’t it? He will be enjoying the best Easter ever 😊
