Good morning from a damp Co Durham.
Happy Birthday, grandMattie and your dgd.
Hello Cherrylover, enjoy the chat on here.
Poignant day for me yesterday attending the funeral of a childhood friend. She was the first loss from five little girls who started Infant School together 70 years ago. Beautiful service.
Having a quiet read before the two grand dogs start jumping around. We'll have them till Monday, such lively dogs.
Lovely fish pie for dinner made by dd2 so an easy one for me.
Have a good Saturday one and all.

Good morning and a warm welcome to Cherrylover . 👋.
Tell us about yourself . ☺️.

Today we are travelling back to Essex, but we’ll be back next Friday with our two sons for a working weekend.

It’s dull and chilly but I saw a figure walking down to the sea, at 6.am disrobing and plunging in. 🥶. Not even in a wetsuit!

Have a lovely birthday with your family GM , and a happy birthday to your gd. So much to celebrate. 🥳.

Sar are you over your chest infection? Take it easy.

Ash - cider and pasty sounds very nice.

Hoping Babydoll is improving.🙏. She looks beautiful. 👶🏼.

Take care all 🌷

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° with blue skies. Definitely chilly though. Happy birthday Grandmattie. It sounds like it won't be long until you move into your new home. Ash cider and pasty sounds like my kind of evening!Sar I hope you are feeling better now. BlueBalou your lunch plans sound good. I'm cooking gammon tomorrow. Cherrylover welcome to you. Baubles a rest tonight is definitely required.
Yesterday I ended up at dd's house. We went to town as dgs1 needed a haircut. Then a visit to Costa for hot chocolate for dgs1 and steamed milk for dgs2. Later, I babysat dgs2 while dd took dgs1 to Taekwondo. He's teething badly at the moment and had gone for a nap at an inopportune moment.
Today will be a quiet day. I'll get the bedding washed and hung out and do a bit of housework. Then I want to play with my new oil pastels and do more cross stitch. Salmon salad for dinner. Have a good day all.

Good morning, s somerset will be cheerful and sunny today. Such a change from yesterday but the lack of sun meant that I did get to clean the windows inside

Ground is far too wet with many puddles everywhere, potholes hidden in puddles, means I will not go cycling for a few days. Just a bit of pottering today and I am hopeful of being outside for a while, even if just to drink my coffee

I faffed around last night to find an isa for some savings, took me a while but I got one with yorkshire building society. I did dither as it is fixed until 2025. Such a fine line between what is needed soon and what can be saved

Have a good day

Good morning from a very wet Essex by the sea.
A very Happy Birthday to GM, a busy day by the sounds of it.
Shopping in town this morning and a lazy afternoon to follow.
Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

Good morning all from bonny Berwick upon Tweed, where the sun is shining from a clear, blue sky. Driving to Edinburgh later this morning, to spend the day with Daughter and two teenage Granddaughters, who we haven't seen for ages, largely due to that awful Covid virus. Very excited about seeing them again after so long. Hope your day goes well, wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

Good morning all from a chilly but bright Whiddon Down where my holiday home is much cosier since the CH boiler was recently serviced.

Happy birthday to your grandMattie and your DGD with even more cause for celebration now contracts have been exchanged. I’m sure your usual stamina will see you through the day.

Excellent news regarding targets reached, baubles! IIRC, you manage a charity shop I believe? People enjoy supporting good causes and appreciate bargains, especially now.

We might visit Lydford Gorge (N.T) today in the hope of finding a walk within my capability! Later a cider and pasty evening has been planned by the staff at the site so we shall go along to that.

BlueBalou Sat 15-Apr-23 06:46:56

Good morning all and a very happy birthday to grandMattie 💐🥂, I hope you enjoy today!
Yesterday I did little, my oomph has evaporated 🙄, today the new patio starts (at last!) and I really need to do some tidying up generally. I hope it’s a dry day too for once.
I will put a gammon with brown sugar in the slow cooker, new potatoes and salad sounds good for lunch and maybe I will make a lemon cheesecake too?
Have a lovely weekend everyone x

Good morning. Dry day at the moment, down South.
It has been a week of celebration and hospitality on the whole. Last event for me tomorrow. Today is mainly making sure I am ready.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 15-Apr-23 06:17:42

Good morning from the South Downs which is dull with a north wind - but dry!

Early night on the cards by the sound of it gm and a Very Happy Birthday.

Nothing planned here today, except cleaning down and polishing the kitchen cupboards, and might wash down the outside paintwork of the conservatory - depends how chilly it is.

Bit of on line shopping - DIL birthday gift. I need to get it sorted before they go on one of their many travels planned this year.

Pork stir fry for dinner.

Good morning from a frosty Bristol. It is cold 🥶
DGD is 13 today and I am 75. I could never have imagined the path my life has taken, even 10 years ago!
The house in Sandwich has now been sold, and I imagine the buyers are in.
I have had permission to buy the property here, and I think 🤞🤞🤞that things are finally, finally starting to move. The solicitor told me that it would be a week between exchange of contracts and completion. I can’t wait!
Today will be mega-full. DGD has chosen breakfast, then lunc( with her father’s family, all 7 of them, including children. Then we’re going to a place called Mrs. Potts, a chocolate and chocolate with chocolate cafe. Finally, DD is taking me to a place where they serve parmegiano, leaving the rest at home. I’m exhausted just thinking about it. (Bearing in mind, I’ve been awake since 3ish, it’s going to be a loooing day).
I hope the news of babydoll is good, and that of all the sad and poorly is too. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩🦩

Good morning Mick, morning all from dry South Lanarkshire.

Not much to report as this week has been pretty much work, eat, sleep, repeat. I’m hoping today is reasonably busy to finish off a good week, so far we’ve exceeded all daily targets and I would like to do the same again.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.
