I meant to send best wishes to everyone that’s feeling poorly in anyway, I hope you feel better soon.

I meant to send best wishes to everyone that’s feeling poorly in anyway, I hope you feel better soon.
Good morning everyone, I started to improve yesterday and am still improving this morning. Im not eating much yet but at least I’ve started to eat and I’ve kept my fluids level too.
Im sorry your eye is so painful Blossoming, it’s difficult to relax when you can’t even read.
I’ve got Golden Oldies on the radio and the DJ has just played Mike Sarne’s “Come Outside” immediately followed by “Baby it’s Cold Outside”. 😁😁
Good morning all from a cloudy but dry Glasgow.
Grandmabatty your pic made me smile. Just what granny’s living room should look like. When our two GDs were younger it was tents made with sheets for hours of enjoyment. One summer we got a bunch of long bamboo poles, tied together at the top, sheets wrapped around and we had two teepees. Miss those days.
Happy birthday Llfl 🎂
Lovely photo ginny. Enjoy your first solo trip.
Have a good Sunday all
Happy birthdayLLFL Enjoy your special day
Good morning all from cloudy Lancashire and a happy St. George’s Day 🏴
My eye is becoming a little less bruised and swollen and is beginning to respond to the treatment. It is causing some double vision and disorientation and screen use is uncomfortable, so another lazy day for me
Happy birthday LadyLFL
Sorry if I missed anyone’s news, reading is difficult just now.
ginny
Just popped back and severs if you are asking where I am.
I was originally booked on an art retreat but it was cancelled. I had train tickets so decided to do it on my own. I have a lovely apartment overlooking the Fowey estuary in Cornwall.
6 full days all to myself. It does feel strange but I intend to make the most of them.
Happy Birthday llfl
Thank you - I thought it was Cornwall - I’m down there in a month.
Good morning all from an overcast Black country.
Haven't read through yet tablet been on charge, will catch up with everybody's news and happenings after my walk round the local shops, need a loaf thought I'd got some in the freezer.
Best wishes anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your Sunday and may you all find some ☀️.
Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast.
Nice day yesterday at DDs friends fathers 80th. It was held in a marquee all decorated in Indian style but there was a bite in the air. It started at two and went on until late at night, although I left a while before that. Many speeches in interesting Hindu ways new to me. Amazing to see my DDs friends children now the new young generation.
I had a sudden attack of very severe cramp in my thigh sitting down in the marquee and had to rush out. One of the caterers made me lift my leg to an elevated position and bent my toes back which helped. When it strikes, it is scream out loud pain!
A quiet day today and my DD drives home to the south, she has been such a help.
Happy birthday LLFL, enjoy doing your own thing ginny, hope the cruise is going well ashcombe and thoughts to anyone with worries.
Good Morning from a very foggy Co Armagh
My lovely helpful cleaning lady comes today so I have stripped the bed and the washing machine is doing it’s happy dance
Eldest son has got a new job in Edinburgh , so that will be four of my brood there , luckily I have a Son and a Daughter still here
I still haven’t managed to get to the local Church for Mass , so I got online last night and I might see another later today
I remember all poorly and troubled when I say my prayers , but also thank for all the good happenings too
Hope we all have a kind and restful day xxx
Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle.
Yesterday was horrible weather-wise. It rained all day, rather heavily in the morning when it was also rather dark. Nevertheless, after I'd visited Sainsbury's (and got more lovely British asparagus), I drove to a different garden centre in a search for a small metal bistro set. I got rid of my large wooden table and chairs last year, they were too big for my patio and too heavy for me to keep folding away to keep them in nice condition. A young family got them which I was pleased about.
I did find a bistro set, only drawback being that it was grey but I got it all the same as I could see it was well made, which the coloured ones I'd spotted online might not have been.
I didn't go looking at their plants, even I don't do that in the pouring rain!
Today, hopefully into the garden for more planting out. And a rest later to finish off the papers.
I wish we older folk could recover from our poorliness as rapidly as those young ones seem to Grandmabatty!
Do have a lovely day all of you.
Good morning all. Oh well, those lovely (but cold) sunny mornings couldn't last forever I suppose - today it's grey with showery drizzle to go with that cold north wind. The Angus coast is not where to be today!
Lovely photo ginny - a perfect place to explore. Where is it?
Congratulations to your DD Marydoll, I can understand your pride!
Karma you should keep some alpacas in your garden! You are such an industrious lady.
Bluebalou I envy you all your painting workshops. Have you decided whether you will stick with watercolour or move to another genre? Like you, I tried various things but always came back to watercolour - I found it so relaxing and loved the way the colours blended. (This was in the days before tai chi took over my life!)
Our tai chi Workshop went well yesterday and was well-attended and enjoyed (though I definitely prefer teaching smaller numbers!). I was totally exhausted afterwards, so just popped down to the town and got a Chinese carry-out and spent the evening watching TV through closed eyes!
Today I shall do nothing.
Enjoy your Sundays everyone, and if you see the sun please remind it to pop back to the Angus coast sometime soon 😉
Morning from a grey S Yorks and rain predicted all day tho no sight of it yet..
Its Quakers then maybe the gym.
Happy Birthday llfl
all the bests for family meet ups and take care poorlies. and for a good London Marathon for those with family involved.
Morning, not Ironing!!
I blame the glasses…..
Good. Ironing Mick and everyone from a damp, but quite bright Oxfordshire. It’s 9 degrees which is quite good.
I’m breaking in my new glasses, awful, it feels as though my eyes are swivelling all over the place, I have 2 weeks to get used to them or take them back, so fingers crossed my brain soon sorts itself out.
Roast beef today for the family. I’m having my home made nut roast, I might have time to mow the grass if it isn’t too wet I should have done it yesterday but I hate doing it at the weekends as some of my neighbours work all week and I think they shouldn’t have to listen to my mower on their days off.
Happy Birthday LLFL
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Much milder feel today .
6°
Yesterday was bitter. There was a street fair where I bought a lilac tree and a draught excluder and hurried home.
I have booked myself on a herbal walk today with a medicinal herbalist.
Nice to read about all the holidays and playdays and see your photos
So you spin Karmalady. What are you spinning?
Have a happy St George's Day. Do you celebrate it? I always think of the delicious mushroom. Perhaps I'll find some on my walk.
Good morning from a grey and damp Northampton, so pleased I decided to cut the back lawn yesterday; had planned to do the front, but decided the back was more urgent. Was absolutely whacked afterwards and spent the rest of the afternoon with a sherry and the newspaper!
Had a nice little excursion to the shops yesterday, spent a voucher on nice goodies in M&S Food, and met an ex-teaching colleague by chance, with some of his family. Caught up with news of mutual friends. Returned a top to Next, and managed not to buy anything else!
A lazy morning, boiled egg for breakfast I think, and then out this afternoon for my birthday lunch with all the family. We are going to a Chinese restaurant - my choice - they do a very good 'all you can eat' menu. We know the food is good there, because it is usually full of the local Chinese population, including many university students.
Will watch the London Marathon this morning while I have breakfast. The daughter of friend is running in aid of a charity for Missing People. A mutual friend's son disappeared about 10 years ago, and nothing has been heard of him since; she dropped him at th airport for a trip to France and that was her last contact - not a word since. So sad.
Hope today is kind to all.
Just popped back and severs if you are asking where I am.
I was originally booked on an art retreat but it was cancelled. I had train tickets so decided to do it on my own. I have a lovely apartment overlooking the Fowey estuary in Cornwall.

Susan56 your day at Attingham Park brought back happy memories of when I was a Room Steward at Attingham. I loved the house and its history. Meeting so many interesting visitors was a pleasure. The grounds provide wonderful walks. Love the bluebells April /May. Thank you for reminding me.
Have a great day llfl!🎂🎁🎈🎉.
Kitty, we have a friend recently diagnosed with MND. It is tragic. He has a young family and his rapid deterioration is awful to witness.
Good morning from Essex by the sea where we are forecast rain, which I notice has just started
An early start for DH as the boys are taking part in a rugby festival about an hour's drive away. Muddy boots spring to mind.
We may go out to lunch/dinner later depending on what time he returns.
We fitted the new curtains in the boat yesterday, I'm pleased with my efforts, but that is it no more curtain making.
I still have a chesty cough, especially early morning and late evening but hopefully it is improving.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone xxx
Good morning everyone from a wet and grey Inverness, there’s no sign of the sun here today
Ginny, enjoy your time away alone and I hope you find lots to do that you enjoy.
I had a lovely busy day yesterday and saw the DGC but today I’ve no plans although I might see if DD wants to meet up, she’ll be on her own as DGC are out all day at a basket ball tournament.
Well done to your DGD NannyJan, it’s good that she’s interested in football, I hope she does well.
Grandmabatty love it!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning all from a partly sunny Glasgow, where its 6°C.
Your certainly are a devoted grandmother, GM. What a lucky wee boy,
Corner, last year, my vaccine record was mistakenly deleted, along with my CEV status, so I was unable to get my booster.
It had to go to a specialised team to reinstate everything. It took weeks to sort.
Thank goodness, someone showed common sense in your case.
Yesterday was a day off faffing about, which did me the world of good, before my busy sactistan duties at the Vigil Mass.
Much to my delight, a reluctant Dollie was there.
During Mass, she moved in for a cuddle, I bent my head towards her and my earring got caught in her hair.
My head was bent at a 45° angle, unable to move! DH of course was oblivious, while the people behind me were in stitches.
It didn't help that we were sitting at the front and I was trying to inconspicuously, to release myself, without a fuss!
.
When I came to sit down, just before Mass, Dollie asked me why the church were having a birthday party for me and she hadn't been invited.
It turned out that she had been reading the parish newsletter, which said: A family day with Mary, Sunday, 14th May. That is my birthday, so she assumed the Bishop was coming to my party.
It was actually a Diocesan fun day for families, held in our extensive church grounds, to honour Mary, the mother of God!
My family found the coincidence very amusing!
We are off to see Babydoll this morning, so I'm looking forward to it. I keep picking up bits and pieces for her, I can't help myself. I must restrain myself!
Of course, my beloved Dollie hasn't been forgotten either!
Not read all the posts, so I shall lie in bed reading them, before facing the day.
Ginny, enjoy your me time and GM, not long now!
Happy Sunday all.
Meant to say I love the view Ginny.
Good Morning all from Severnside
Happy Birthday llfl enjoy your day with your family around you 🎂🎉🍸
Good morning from Shropshire where the forecast rain has not arrived yet.
Yesterday turned out to be a gloriously sunny day so we took the children to Attingham Park for a picnic and a long walk.DD2 joined us and the three cousins enjoyed playing together. We took the children home and then DH came to see Anton with me in the evening as DD wasn’t well enough.
Today is a day of rest and reading.DGS1 is on parade with his Squirrels troop. He is hoping to carry the flag again but DD has explained numerous times it will be someone else’s turn today.DGD’s Beaver group isn’t taking part in the parade which has disappointed DH who was involved with scouting for over 50 years.
Grandmabatty I love the tent set up!
Wishing everyone a good day🦩
