Good morning all from a partly sunny Glasgow, where it is 3 °C.

We had lots of cuddles from Babydoll yesterday and for the first time she was awake. She hasn't been discharged yet from the midwives, due to her ongoing weight issues. Being on a strict feeding regime and topped up with expressed milk is still not enough.
A visit to hospital in Glasgow confirmed that DIL is feeding her correctly, so the reason for the low weight is a concern.
DIL thought I was mad, when I started singing a French lullaby to settle her, it worked, just as it worked with Dollie. 😉
There is something so special about holding your grandchild in your arms.

I had a bit off an off day yesterday, the vertigo raised its head again, so I had a gentle afternoon in my (naff) conservatory, doing very little.
Unfortunately, I had some scary dreams last night, where I had become involved with the Turkish mafia. I think my afternoon film viewing may have had something to do with it! 😉

DH is golfing, so some quiet time for me. Well not really, I shall put my music on, DH still thinks he is eighteen music wise!
I also need to talk to a church group about safeguarding, organise some Disclosure paperwork and put signs on the new parish hall boiler controls. Some parishioners are leaving it on 24/7 and understandably, the parish priest is raging. The fuel bill was eye watering.

GM, I hope today is a more settled day for you and things begin to fall into place for the move.

Best wishes for all the poorlies, have a lovely day, whatever your plans are.

Good morning from damp Wiltshire, hoping for sunshine today please 😊
I had a lovely day at a watercolour workshop yesterday, very relaxing and fun.
I switched my phone off yet still had the alarm blaring through my Bluetooth hearing aids 😵‍💫; in fact we had it 7 times and no two phones went off together!
Very tired when I got home so had an early night and slept better thankfully.
Today I will walk DDog early then do some tidying before meeting some friends for an acrylic painting class this afternoon. All this art!!
A fairly quiet week ahead so I will crack on with getting the garden sorted out, I have so many plants that need putting out!
I hope you a good week x

Good morning from a bright South Downs at 7c but not for long - rain is forecast all day.

Missed our early morning walk yesterday as the dog was recovering from his upset tummy. But today looks back to normal.

Housework this morning - concentrating on the dining room as it is a shambles with the table needing clearing from DHs projects and drawers need sorting.

Lunch with friends from work at Ditchling - Vera Lynn’s home village. Only 5 miles I think as the crow flys from here.

Egg and cheese salad with buttery mashed potato for dinner - yum

Have a good day one and all

Good morning from somewhere off the coast of La Rochelle where it’s rather grey at the moment.

Yesterday we were (all!) at sea so no opportunity to post. Our Entertainment Manager led a most uplifting service in the morning which was well attended and much appreciated. The choice of Lead Us, Heavenly Father with its reference to “tempestuous sea” was appropriate as we were crossing the Bay of Biscay!

On Saturday we enjoyed walking round Honfleur where the ambience of this lovely town was enhanced by a huge market which meandered through the cobbled streets, lined with beautiful old buildings.

The 4G signal isn’t reliable so not sure if and when I can post this. Wishing you all a happy weekend. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from Shropshire.

The forecast rain didn’t appear yesterday so DH got lots done in the garden.I got up to date with housework and admin then reading and snoozing in the afternoon.

I am sure it will rain today as I am going to the hairdressers this morning. This afternoon I will join the funeral of one of my oldest friends online.Sadly it is too far away to go in person.

Grandmabatty I hope you and DGS1 feel better as the day goes on and 🤞🏻the little one doesn’t come down with it too.

Hope the birthday lunch went well LLFL.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from a very damp and cloudy Black Country.

Not usually up this early, but I thought I may as well get up now.

Monday walk this morning, unless it is absolutely tipping it down. Busy week, I have something on every day, then we are away next week from 3rd May.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 2° and clear. Mick I think a snooze sounds grand.
Yesterday I took dgs1 to the park where he had a great time. A swan decided we were persona non Grata and began hissing so we beat a very hasty retreat. Then I took him to the station to watch trains then home. Apart from him being unwell, we had a lovely time. Sadly he had a very upset tummy in the afternoon and missed a birthday party. So whatever he has, it's lingering.
Today is a very early childcare day. I'll have both boys all day as dgs1 isn't going to nursery to give him a chance to recover. I am not feeling great either,so I expect he's passed it on. Oh joy. Have a good day all

Good morning from a misty Bristol.
I didn’t hear the alarm yesterday as my phone was downstairs and I was asleep! You?
Yesterday, Iris attempted a practice cycle ride to school. Having been very anxious about it for days, she did it with flying colours and is looking forward to not using the “tag along”. Due to her disabilities, she has only been cycling for a couple of years; she is 10.
I made Iris’ Peter Pan hat -DGD1 said it looked like a Robin Hood hat! 6 of one, 1/2 doz., etc.
Unusually, we had a quiet day. Normally, it is packed with things to do, places to go… I find it exhausting.
Today, I’ve got curtains to alter, the removals to confirm and clarify, a Peter Pan play to go to, a fridge freezer and microwave to order…
I hope today brings nothing but contentment to all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️
