Good Morning Everyone,
Its daylight and its a clear sky here in brackley this morning.
My usual bu journey to Bicester on the bus , things seem to be building up for the coronation ,although on the day supermarkets will be open normal hours and bus services running normal .
Take Care,

Good morning from North Yorkshire. The sun is a bright ball through the mist. Perhaps it will clear up.
An annual report to write for the charity today then some gardening. I bought a small shrub yesterday the needs to go into the garden.
Ironing an alb brought memories back of when I had DH’s to do. He always managed to get a footprint on it or wine on a sleeve or something. Mind you it was easier to do then his surplice. A big broad ironing board helped!
Have a good day everyone.

I thought I had lost my huge agapanthus, which I had liberated from DD'S garden. Yesterday, I noticed some green shoots, Perhaps it will come back, Greyduster.

Good morning from Essex by the sea. The sun is trying to shine but it was cold first thing.
I'm feeling a little better, not coughing quite so much, hopefully the second lot of antibiotics are beginning to work.
Food shopping this morning then a visit to a neighbour who has a big birthday today. I shall buy her some flowers.
Enjoy Thursday everyone xxx

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather dull Carlisle.

My chest of drawers arrived before eight and was taken up to the small spare bedroom and put where I wanted it. And that was it! I'd forgotten, from my previous deliveries in 2021, that I needed to pay extra to have it unpacked. For the large sum I'd paid them to take it upstairs, I'd assumed they would set it up. Prices must have gone up radically, heaven knows what they'd charge to do it now.
I set about the task gingerly, heavy lifting and hauling about is not what I'm supposed to do! There were large amounts of cardboard, polystyrene, plastic wrap etc to hack off. Then I had to shift it off the base packing, remove that and shift it back. However, it is done and I'm shortly going to go for a reviving cuppa. The vast amounts of packing to be removed later. Now I have an excuse to do little else for the rest of the day!
It looks like gardening will be off anyway. I may just sit and watch the sparrows. My lady sparrow has brought her friends round at last and for the last few days they have been really busy scoffing the aphids. They need to, I have too many...

Your DH is a gem, Marydoll. Enjoy the arbour.

And, everyone, hopefully, an improving/good day to you all.

Good morning from Shropshire.Another dull day forecast.

We were up early waiting for DD to arrive with H when we got a message to say she had skidded on some muck on the road a tyre had burst and she ended up on the other side of the lane. The what ifs make me feel sick.A lovely lady stopped and waited with them for SIL to arrive and just had a message to say they are on their way.

Today we are taking H to an ‘Under the Sea’ event. The ocean and sea creatures are his passion.I am sure he will be dressed head to toe in clothes with sharks on.We have bought him some shark crocs so he will be a very happy little boy.

I hope you are feeling better later and able to attend the course Grandmabatty💐

Oops family problems can be overwhelming.Look after yourself💐

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

A rather late Good Morning from me. I had an unpleasant and very wakeful period of a couple of hours in the middle of last night and am just “coming to “ now.
I needed a quiet day yesterday after the Arts Society Antiques Day I had been responsible for organising on Wednesday. I had booked Mark Hill whom you may have seen on Antiques Roadshow and Antiques Road Trip . There were 40 of us for a combination of 2 lectures in the morning, lunch and then a “Roadshow” type information, identification and valuation session in the afternoon.
Fortunately he proved a charming and engaging speaker and they loved him! I believe he is filming Roadtrip in or around this area in the next week so I will be keeping an eye open for those programmes later in the year.
So having done the square root of ****all yesterday I need to gird up my loins for the first Film Studies session this afternoon. We are looking at the films of Steven Spielberg. So well known but I don’t think I have seen many of his films so I am looking forward to learning more. Meeting up with some friends in the class for lunch first, it will be nice to catch up as the Easter break seems to have gone on for weeks.
Wishing you all a pleasant day, relief from pain or worries and safe travels if you are out and about .

Good morning from a dry NE.
Booster vaccination was fine and actually done before the appointment time. Sanofi this time, supposed to boost the immune system, apparently it contains shark products.
I have an appointment with my solicitor this afternoon to sort out will and POA.
Have a good day all, better day wished for those feeling poorly.

Good morning all from a cloudy W Kent. Off to art group this morning for a chat and a little painting, later I must top up the shopping.
Thinking of all those not feeling good.

Kalu Thu 27-Apr-23 09:23:05

Good morning all from Glasgow where it is wet with an ominous looking sky promising more rain to come.

A phone call from DH’s consultant wasn’t what we expected. The scan results revealed the cancer originally discovered in DH’s throat has metastasised to his lung and is inoperable. We are staying strong and hopeful and will deal with whatever the future brings.
Unfortunately not a day to busy myself in the garden, I will make do foutering about indoors.

Yes, I know thé garden centre you mention Marydoll. An arbour will be perfect in your garden. Are you planning to grow a climber over it?
I managed to find a selection of hollyhocks last month Grey but I plan to keep them indoors a while yet. The severe winter killed off two I planted last year.

Best wishes to all for a good day and a favourite quote of mine too, Carpe Diem.

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 27-Apr-23 09:29:58

Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate. You seem to be very organised at your DDs house GrandMattie you obviously like to keep busy.
Yesterday took a trip to Ripon on the bus which took about half an hour to get through killinghall a small village outside Harrogate because of road works. We had lunch in Booths, an upmarket supermarket that seems to be only in theNorth of England.
I now await my Sainsburies shopping delivery with apparently no substitutes! Wow!!
I will try to go into town later and see if I can consult theBoots pharmacist. I bought a set of Boots products- Future Renew, skin reversal. It might be what’s causing a flare up of red itchy skin on my face or it might be something else, but it’s most uncomfortable. I’d forgotten how fickle my skin can be.
Have the best day possible folks
