Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast.
Didn’t enjoy art yesterday as it involved messing around with masking fluid and layers of watercolour, the final result wasn’t worth it, would have been happier just painting the picture.
Then into city and my close friend still not himself after macular degeneration and cataract op. Rather hard work. The Italian restaurant I had decided on has no booking system for parties less than 6 so as there was a queue, we opted for a Chinese. Home early and I could carry on drooling over James Norton in War and Peace😁
Thoughts to all with worries and troubles.
multi, thank you for the lovely message. We did make a good dishwashing team!
I am so happy to see you much you have improved healthwise.
Good morning. Safely home after my solo trip which was very much enjoyed. Very relaxing and I shall do it again.
However pleased to be home and looking forward to seeing the family tomorrow.
Today we have some food shopping to do and I need to make a couple of puds for tomorrow.
Wishing all a good weekend.
Good morning everyone it looks quite bright out there today on the east coast of Fife I’m going to have a wonderful day, my daughter, two grandsons and 2 gorgeously well behaved golden retrievers are visiting today I’ll get lively or lovely sloppy kisses or perhaps both
Marydoll I think of you constantly having met you at a Burns function held in Edinburgh many yrs ago hope you and you’re lovely family can cope well with these ever ending health issues love and hugs all around from your never to be forgotten friend 🥂
Hugs to all those less fortunate than I am
Good morning all from heavy grey skies in Glasgow.
As no rain is forecast, I will keep myself busy in the garden dividing a clump of silver sedum to plant in other areas.
DH is looking forward to a day of F1 and snooker championships.
Sar 💐
Have a good weekend all.
Morning from an overcast S Yorks.
House valuer came yesterday: I'm going to wait a bit till some decorating is done at the end of May which suits as still waiting for appointments and test results meaning a minor op.
Very tired after much house sorting ready for yesterday so its probably a lazy gym day later.
Bests for outings and poorlies and family poorlies
Good morning Mick and all from - you've guessed it! - a grey cold Angus coast. This is going on for too long, Mr Weatherman. Enough is enough. Though I did get a small wash dried outside yesterday which was very unexpected.
My new/repaired hearing aids seem to be working a treat - it's taken me 15 months of repeated visits and complaints to get to this stage, so it's a relief. I'm meeting DD and Dancing Dgd tomorrow so they'll get a proper testing then. The dancer is off to dance in Estonia at the end of next week and I want to hear all about it.
I'm glad your hospital appointments are back on track Mick. Everything seems to have become more and more inefficient since covid, witness your keys, Ash. Love that expression couldn't run a bath!
Glad your mother-in-law is homegrammaretto - she's much better in her own bed.
A family evening of board games sounds lovely*Brook*.
Nothing to report from here - except that I might give in and put the heating on 'continuous' for a while. The fabric of the house is so cool now that it rarely climbs above 14° now without the sun warming it.
Have a good holiday weekend everyone and may the warmth of the sun soothe Away your troubles x
Good morning from a beautiful sunny day in Oxfordshire, no breeze for a change but it’s chilly, I must get out in the garden today and plant some seeds left over from last year, I doubt they will come to much. But it all needs a good weeding out there as well.
Yesterday I was having a sort out and my eye stared to water, it got so bad that it made my nose tickle and that started watering as well! I was like a drippy sneezy tap. Let’s hope it isn’t the start of Hay Fever. All ok so far this morning, but I’ll take an Anti Histamine before I venture outside. Eyesight is a bit blurry too, anyway at least I’ve dried up!
So sorry that some GNs are feeling so poorly or have poorly family.
Have a good day everyone, hugs for those who aren’t so chipper today.💐
Sorry you are feeling so unwell, Marydoll. Very hard to live life in the slow lane when you have always done everything at top speed. Hope today brings something to raise your spirits..
Misty this morning but I turned off the heating yesterday and the house feels comfortable so a small win, at least for now. Another email from Ovo to say they are unable to respond to me at present so will leave it till next week when perhaps I will feel more resolute. Concert this evening in a lovely local church but nothing else planned.
Good morning from yet another dull Black Country. The sun did try to peep out later in the day yesterday.
Had a lovely few in hours in Bridgnorth yesterday with a friend. Lunch in a cafe there sitting in the garden. It wasn't sunny but wasn't too cold. We last met up about a year ago, so resolved to do better this year, but as they too have a touring caravan, one or the other always of us seems to be busy.
Tonight we are going to Symphony Hall in Birmingham to see Post Modern Jukebox. We are lucky to be on a direct train and bus route there, so its easy to travel to Brum, and it is free
Wishing you all a good day, with special thoughts of those struggling
Good morning from a bright W Kent. Due to both have our jabs this morning and I think DS and GD are popping by this afternoon. DDIL has gone abroad to visit her mum.
Marydoll I hope you do gt to see Babydoll and Dollie is ok.
Gwenisgreat I have the same problem at U3A meetings.
Best wishes to everyone
Sar53 💐
Good morning all from a dull Black country, yesterday turned out lovely and sunny so time was spent in the garden don't think today will though.
Haven't read through yet late getting up and it's that time of the week again full English calling.
Friends coming later and we shall meet up with our other friends at the club.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea.
I'm feeling so much better, hardly coughing at all.
A few bits to get in town this morning and a 'do' at the Yacht Club this evening. There will be a band who have a good reputation.
An upsetting chat with DD1 yesterday about DGD1. We are both so worried and upset for her. My heart breaks.
Have a super Saturday everyone xxx
Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it's 7°C .
Yesterday, we were supposed to visit Babydoll, after the golf. However, after becoming unwell during my morning visit to Silverburn, I had to return home and go to bed. So sadly no visit. 😢
I had been determined to go out, albeit foolishly.
DH tells me I am doing to much again!
Thank you for asking about Baby Gwen, she is coming on. However, she hasn't been discharged yet from the midwives, so that they can keep an eye on her stomach and weight issues.
All being well, they will bring her here today, as I'm not really up to going to their house, because my heart is playing up again and I have become quite breathless. It's so frustrating.
DH and I will be fighting over her!
To top things off, Dollie is unwell again. Her best friend was sent home from school yesterday with suspected Covid. Her friend's grandparents came back from holiday abroad with it.
I'm concerned because Dollie is CEV, like me. Her parents will test her this morning. DH and I were planning on going up for lunch on Sunday, but it looks as if it will be cancelled.
Susan, acid reflux is debilitating, it's so much more than just indigestion. I have developed the GORD cough again and was quite sick yesterday. I hope your reflux settles down today,
I wish you all the best of days. My thoughts are with all on here, who are burdened with worries and sorry. 💐
Good morning everyone from cool and cloudy Lancashire.
Hope your procedure goes smoothly this time Mick. It does seem to have dragged on. Acid reflux is awful Susan, it has caused me many a sleepless night. You have my sympathy.
Try to get a little rest this weekend GrannyGravy13, I’m tired just reading your post!
Your poor DMil Grammaretto, that sounds horrid. Hope she picks up now she’s home.
My eyes are now both pointing in the same direction again and the bruising is healing. As a dull day is forecast I’m hoping to get out for a walk later.
My thoughts are with Kalu, Baggs and all with troubles.
Have a good day all 🌹
I’m glad you’re feeling better Grandmabatty.
The railway museum will be running trains all weekend as it’s a bank holiday so expecting there will be a lot of visitors around the marina.
Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, but don't know how long it will last. I think it is supposed to stay dry, which will be good for rugby this afternoon. We have a 'friendly' against our close rivals, Leicester Tigers. After the match, which is the last home one this seadon, there will be presentations and farewells to Saints retiring or departing for pastures new.
A pleasant time yesterday at the shops, (tried on a new top in Next, but decided I needed a size bigger, which they didn't have...), and then walked to the surgery for my MMR booster.
Thinking of doing a bit of washing, seeing as the sun is shining, then an early lunch before rugby. Hotpot for dinner tonight.
Have a good weekend everyone
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a very sunny South Yorkshire. Rain is forecast for later this afternoon, but DD is coming over this morning to make a start on my garden. I cut a lot of stuff back yesterday so that I could see what the priorities are. Alliums have spread like a plague and all but a small patch need to be got rid of. Ditto eryngiums, and they are a pain to dig out. I hope she is up to it, because I can’t dig. A nice lunch will be her “wages”!
Have a lovely day one and all.
Good morning all from bright but cloudy Harrogate
Glad you are getting your medical appointments sorted Mick and hopefully are back on track.
We’ll you’ll be glad to be homeAshcombe but what a palaver to get your keys!
Hope you’ve caught up with your medication Sar - acid reflux is horrible.
This bank holiday weekend will be like any other weekend, today I’ll bake and do housework just for starters. Yesterday I sat in oblivion all day after taking antihistamines to calm my skin. Did go to the U3A talk about Harrogate having an airport for
WWI Couldn’t follow it, too deaf and too far back in the room. DH enjoyed it though.
Have the best day possible folks
Good morning from a grey and damp NE where it is 7 degrees.
Had a relaxed day, watched some TV and read half a novel.
My elder sister rang at 5pm and talked to me for two hours, it wasn't anything important just chat. I wasn't going to have any alcohol but only had time to heat a pizza so treated myself to a nice glass of red wine.
I am expecting news of a new addition to the family today, cousin's DIL was in labour when I went to bed.
DS and GD2 are visiting this afternoon and will be here until bedtime.
Sister and BIl will visit too and we will have a drink and put the world to rights.
Have a good Bank Holiday weekend.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey and overcast, but at least it’s dry
We’re taking DGD to her dance class this morning and later we’ve been invited to DD2s for a family evening playing board games. The DGC (ages 8 and 9) still really enjoy that sort of thing and it’s lovely to be invited along too. I think Ticket to Ride is their favourite at the moment and the SkyJo card game too.
Quite an ordeal for for DMiL grammaretto but good that she’s home at last. I hope she’s much more comfortable now
That’s an early start GG13 and a busy day ahead, enjoy the birthday celebrations later if you’re still awake!
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning Mick, morning all from cloudy but dry South Lanarkshire.
Yesterday I had an Occupational Health appointment by phone. The doctor agreed with me regarding how I’m managing my job and she doesn’t believe that I need any special procedures put in place. I know I’ll just have to be careful, which I am.
I have work today, I was last in on Monday which seems a long time ago.
Glad you’re feeling a little better Grandmabatty.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning all from a sunny, calm Suffolk seaside.
We travel back ‘home’ today to Essex. We’ll be back in a few weeks , fingers crossed.
I had an hours chat to my oldest friend on the phone yesterday. She’s just back from visiting her family in Oz, so plenty to talk about. We’re meeting up with our other school pal in a couple of weeks, and the chat will resume.
GG happy birthday to your Dd. Enjoy the celebrations. 🎈.
Ash how annoying for you . You just want to get home and unwind after your hols.
Sar I’m glad you’re feeling better at last. 💐.
I hope you all have a ‘good’ day. 🌷
Golly is that the time?
Good morning from an overcast Bristol.
I haven’t read any posts yet, but hope everyone is planning/having a great long weekend.
The family left yesterday afternoon to camp, after a day of getting gas, more food, packing, haircuts…. The girls were very excited. I was invited but declined because I thought they could have a few days without me. I’m looking after their rabbits
Today, I’ll take the bus to my flat, measure up the living room curtain length, which I forgot to do last time.
Have a happy weekend. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩
