Good morning from damp s somerset

I am so much looking forward to the pagentry today and my cream tea is ready for this afternoon

It will be a wonderful weekend here with singing, dancing, eating and stalls in town over the next two days and tv is on already. A time to remember for the children, as I remember the street party and flags in 1953

Have a lovely day

Good morning from Bristol on this momentous day! What a shame it is raining and will do so all day.
I just remember the 1953 coronation, I was 5. We only saw the first pictures in Mauritius about a month later on the Pathe newsreels. My grandmother had sent us books about it, so we had an idea of what it was all about…
I had a hardworking day, trying to sort out the boxes for DS and my stuff. DD was magnificent and not only set up my Wifi but also the tv 📺 so I can watch to coronation.
We went to the supermarket where I bought compost, then plants at the local plant nursery. DGD came straight from school and helped me plant them.
The furniture has been rearranged in the living room to DD’s satisfaction; a very assertive lady.
These things are passing, taichinan, just have to weather them as they happen…
Ash, I hope you are safely in Le Mans and od’s cough/asthma is improving. Marydoll, don’t overdo things and the best to the two DGDs. Sorry, if I’ve have inevitamissed anyone.
Hope you enjoy your long weekend; Carpe diem 🦩🦩❤️🦩

Good morning from the South Downs which is forecast to be wet but mild.

The dog is waking earlier and earlier, although I suspect it is something to do with a neighbouring female😳

He’s down at the back door moaning.

Enjoy your day one and all.

Good morning Mick and all to come.
Please may I belong to your couch potato club too as I love a bit of ceremonial?
Quick walk for the dog before it all kicks off and then I too don’t intend to surface until it’s all over!
With kind thoughts to you all and as always a timely smile from Matt

Good morning from a cloudy corner of La Sarthe.

Our Channel crossing went smoothly yesterday with DH perking up on discovering the à la carte restaurant was open for the first time in months. Despite his cough/cold discomforts disturbing his sleep on Thursday night, he tucked in to a superb cooked breakfast, as did I, charmingly served by a young waiter. The ship was only about a third full and we were fortunate to be one of the first to be off loaded at Ouistreham, after which I drove us to DH’s home where two cats were delighted to see us.

Today will consist of unpacking and food shopping. We have no TV here so I will have to catch up with the Coronation later. Unfortunately, since Brexit, iPlayer and ITVX aren’t available in Europe. Enjoy whatever comes your way!

Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking grey cloud but remains dry here in brackley this morning.
Todays plan is to be a couch potato until around 4 this afternoon , I will watch the Coronation until 1 , and then watch the 1st stage of the Giro d`Italia cycle race .
Although I normally go to Bicester and have a breakfast bap despite the cafe being open , have decided otherwise but will get a Chinese Take Away later .
Take Care,
Mick
