Well I thought I would start this thread for those who are going to sit back and enjoy the day.

At the beginning of my life -I was 6 years old, I was at Hyde Park Corner under a policeman’s cap, in the pouring rain, now at 77 I am at home in front of the television.

I shall enjoy every minute of it. Just watching the guests arriving.

I shall be watching at home as well Whitewave. I was three months old at the last coronation so I remember nothing. It’s raining today, home is the best place to be. I’m so sorry my mother died last August, she would have loved watching this today.

We’re doing our own family ‘big lunch’ tomorrow. One son is making a Union Jack trifle, the other a red, blue, and white cheeseboard. I’m making a Victoria sandwich this afternoon with royalty cake toppers. We’re doing the other food. I’ve bought a tiara to wear 😂 from Amazon.

I thought the soprano's dress was magnificent . She needed to stand out high up in the Abbey . Wonderful voice.

Anybody know what Rory Stewart’s uniform is?

He had a short service commission as an infantry officer in the Black Watch before he went to Uni, so that may be it. There's also an unconfirmed but quite convincing report that the was recruited by M.I.6 whilst at Oxford. Interesting life.

I have had the tv on since 7.30. DH went out for fresh croissants and orange juice, he has now departed for his boat, leaving me in peace to watch the service.

I believe he comes on at 10 for the main event. He always manages to explain things so clearly and tell you things you never knew about because he is a historian rather than just a TV presenter.
