I posted two letters on Wednesday 10th just after 9 am in the local post office, one 1st class and the other one 2nd class both going to the same town but different addresses. 2nd class letter arrived the next day 1st class letter still hasn't arrived.

I use it regularly and there is no additional cost for collection.
Can’t fault the service

I use the collect from home service to Witzend, it’s a godsend as the post office is too far for me to walk to these days. Have always found it very efficient. Recently our local postman has started putting my post on top of the cupboard in the porch, instead of putting it through the letter box, having seen me sitting down to do the weeding in the front garden. A small kindness that really helps.

Not for the first time, I had a Click and Drop* parcel for the postman to collect on Friday. He arrived a lot later than usual, not until at least 2 pm, but the parcel arrived (SW London to rural East Yorkshire) the next day - the recipient emailed me yesterday to say it had arrived.

If going into town anyway I will use the parcel postbox - the things I send regularly to the charity have almost always arrived the following day, whether collected (free) or via the parcel postbox.
