I should have to toss a coin between those two dresses but the hat and shoes with the black and white one would swing it for me as I like them both so much.

Welcome to you lovely lot. Enjoy the buffet and open the chilled Champagne. There are limitless treats for everyone.
Thank you for being truly good, supportive friends.
[sunshine} and much more besides.
I love the dress with the pink flowers in particular although both are really pretty
Just a quick, very late, visit from me. Beautiful flowers Neine, looking forward to seeing the outfit. Condolences to Cornergran and husband. Hope everyone is doing OK, I must make more effort to keep up!
You are not allowed to put flower posies on the pew ends of Dunblane Cathedral in case they damage the old wood. I suppose it is if the flowers are damp.
So sad and so scary for you corner, Grandmabatty your daughter is very talented.
Naughty those lovely flowers are beautiful, you are also very talented.
They remind me of our older daughter’s wedding which was done on a tight budget.. For the flowers one relation’s MiL who had a flower shop, had a son that was able to go up to Covent Garden at the crack of dawn to buy flowers. My friend who had been a professional florist told DH what she wanted and both DH and said son went up to Covent Garden to buy them.
My friend had a kitchen full of flowers standing in florist’s buckets up to their necks in water, she said it took her right back to the old days.
She did beautiful flowers for the church including the altar (without falling over
) and managed to include posies for the pew ends.
What talent from you neine and your daughter Grandmabatty very clever.
Very unsettling corner for you both 💐.
Another quiet day, the dizziness and lightheaded feeling from my drugs is now beginning to p**s me off!
However, it’s been a dull day with bitty drizzle, I’ve got a cardi on, not complaining honest.
Enjoy your evening all.
I think gymnasts are really clever topsy, I could never do anything like that when I was a child, not even a cartwheel or a handstand! well done to your DGD
What a beautiful cake grandmabatty your DD is a very talented baker - well done to her 👏
Lovely flowers neine
Your dinner sounds good ann, we’re having chicken curry tonight, one of DHs favourites
I know I’m probably way behind the times but it was £3.99 for a very small latte in a cafe today …. 😳
I like the flowers Neine. I have to do an arrangement for a flower festival in a couple of months.
Just having a peaceful hour and a bit, waiting for DGD to do her gymnastics club. It’s amazing to see what the bigger girls can do! The little ones are all busily falling off things. 🤣
I’m looking forward to my glass of wine when I get home!
So sorry to hear about Mr C’s cousin corner, so sad, sending condolences 💐
Lovely flowers , I admire anyone who can arrange them so well.
I am a stick them in a vase and hope for the best arranger.
Cornergran I can feel your anxiety on receiving that phone call, the sooner your H gets his surgery the happier you are going to feel.
Strikes all over the place are not helping anyone.
I have not had the best day, so tired and lacking any incentive but I have just made a large mixed salad and my GD is making chicken and fried halloumi and I am looking forward to it.
Have the best evening you can everyone.
A quick visit...it's taken me hours to do the flowers... Here are a couple of pictures. The lectern and end of pew flowers are going to bed put on tomorrow...they are all done... Just in oasis overnight. I actually tripped over a bucket and fell over on the altar... Luckily all I said was ' bugger it '..and then apologised!!!!
Back soon to catch up and show you wedding outfit options.
We also love North Wales. Our most recent holiday there was at Porthmadog with a view across the harbour and along to the steam trains. It was a very train oriented holiday. Two steam train trips from Porthmadog and a third to the top of Snowdon (apologies I forget the Welsh name). We’d love to go again, it’s a bit far now though. Enjoy your holiday ladylfl and yours to come ann.
No Dobbies here sadly Brook, we did enjoy visiting one in Cirencester before we moved. Now we make do with a competitor, it’s hard but we manage
.
Some sad news today. Mr C’s cousin died yesterday. We were grateful that her daughter phoned to tell us, such a distressing job. We live many miles from each other and to be truthful I can’t recall when we saw any of their family last. I was pleased I had answered the phone as it was explained that the death had been caused by an identical issue to Mr C’s. His cousin was actually in hospital awaiting surgery. Explaining gently to Mr C we were both aware how much it had affected us.
Off out now, distraction is good. It’s damp and windy here today, chilly too, I feel a shop or two coming on
Hope that bed becomes empty soon grandmab. Be good to see your Mums strength building.
I’m being nagged to be off. Best get going!
We love North Wales too. It’s where we Black Country folk went on holiday! It’s a long way from Suffolk though.
Have a good time!
Good that you’re getting out and about ann and you can revisit some of the lovely places with happy memories
Another busy day here today, went out with DH to the local Dobbies garden centre cafe, we were going to look around the plants but the heavens opened with a really heavy shower. Needless to say we sat it out in the cafe and made some holiday plans to look forward too later in the year
The DGC finished school for the summer holidays at lunchtime today so we popped round to see them this afternoon. They’ve got a busy few weeks ahead with various holiday activities, their family holiday and cub camp etc. We’ll be busy too I expect in ferrying them to and fro - I’d best get the bag of midget gems that we keep in the car stocked up .. 🤣
I’ve done well and sold a few things on the local gumtree today too, a bit more decluttering done ✅
Hope your mum gets a bed in the community hospital soon grandmabatty and is a bit more comfortable there - enjoy your coffee and cake tomorrow
North Wales is a beautiful and popular place.
Good evening all.
I shall be going to Llandudno in 11 days and then a week after I get back I am going back again near Abergele for a week with my D and grown up GC.
My H and I had a static caravan just a few miles from both those places for about 9 years, very ,very happy times and many memories.
A decent day here today, sunny for most of it, my friend needed keys cutting at Sainsbury’s this afternoon so I went along for the ride.
Despite having a delivery from them yesterday I still managed to spend over £45.
I must forget so much when making out my order.
I am very mindful of getting out now whenever I can and feel very grateful that I can still do it.Thoughts are always with the poorlies and those looking after them.
Sad times for some.
Happy holidaying llfl I have fond memories of N Wales.
Ladyleftfieldlover have a lovely time in Wales. I'm very fond of North Wales. I haven't been for years.
I'm just home from hospital where I was visiting mum. She was able to chat more and remembered previous conversations so that was good. Physically she isn't great. I think they are waiting for a bed in the local community hospital which has a dedicated unit for elderly and infirm.
I have friends coming tomorrow for coffee and cake. Dd has made a birthday cake for one of my friends so I'll show you it tomorrow. As usual, I have overdone the cakes so there will be leftovers tomorrow. Have a good evening Kitcheners
Have a lovely holiday Llfl enjoy North Wales and a change of scenery, have fun!
Happy holidays, Ladyleftfieldlover, please send us some photos if you can.
Safe journeys to all travelling soon, and kind thoughts to those with worries or illness. TOYA.
My goodness grandmabatty I’m sure you get quite enough exercise running after those two gorgeous DGSs! 😀
Hello kitchen people! We have a cooler day today. I was supposed to go to my Book group but cancelled. We are off to North Wales tomorrow for a week and I haven’t started packing yet! I have had some exciting parcels delivered today. I was hoping they would arrive before tomorrow. My friend who is feeding the cats would not be able to pick anything up and would have to get her husband to help. Anyway, a small wooden bench for the hall arrived - it is perfect. A cotton dress for me and some wonderful slippers too. All in sales, so I am pleased. Milo and Ripley sense we are going away so are following us around like lap dogs. Have a good evening everyone. Hopefully I can keep you up to speed with my Welsh adventure. We have been promised Wi-Fi and mobile phone reception.
Well done Nannytopsy !! Good for you. Brook you put my lack of exercise to shame.
