Welcome to you lovely lot. Enjoy the buffet and open the chilled Champagne. There are limitless treats for everyone.
Thank you for being truly good, supportive friends.
[sunshine} and much more besides.
Baggs. A hug and
for an amazing woman.
MrJ landed at 5:30, fifteen minutes back to our village, a swift drink in the local and home for dinner. As he’d informed me earlier a late brunch was a sausage bap and a pint of Guinness, there were three veg served with our meal
Sleep well all.
Good evening dear Kitcheners.
I realise that there are some very real sources of sorrow and worry among you and am absolutely in awe of your resilience and cheerfulness. So I won’t go on about this bliddy plantar fasciitis Consider the moan delivered.
Today has been a much brighter day than yesterday but I have spent much of it deep in a book or indeed books (as there is a whole series and I am on book 3) the John Rawlings Historical London Mysteries by Deryn Lake.
Great literature they ain’t, but I get the impression of a degree of historical period accuracy and I like a good murder mystery!
Tomorrow I do my online speed awareness course
. I’m quite familiar with Zoom, but have never used Teams and am more than a little apprehensive about the technical side.
With kind thoughts to you all - too many to mention by name, but you know who you are xxx TOYA
Oh Baggs, may your prayers bring you both peace and strength.xx
We’ve been having a peaceful if somewhat warm time. Atlantic winds are keeping us a bit cooler than the rest of Europe I think.
DD and her husband went home last night, her to take part in a 5K fun
run, in aid of Cancer research and SiL back to work this morning. He’ll hopefully know in the next few days if he has work in August or whether he’ll return to us for a week or so using the flights pre-booked in the doldrums of last winter when he couldn’t get any work at all and flights for £20 -£30 stopped him getting even more depressed. He’s such a lovely and hard working man but since the pandemic and being furloughed has no confidence in his abilities at all.
Thoughts and prayers Baggs.
“May the Lord bless you and keep you”
We have the DGC again, before they go on a short road trip during the week. We shall meet up next weekend at a big get together with old friends. 🤞for good weather.
Best wishes and a big hug to everyone in need.
Just popping in to offer Baggs a gentle hug. I can't imagine how it feels.
Wishing your son a good outcome too, SueD. And, of course, hoping that MrC has his op this time.
soop, the fawn is fabulous.
We had DD1 and family here for lunch. After a worrying time all round, it was lovely to see them all just being normal and planning a holiday.
TOYA
I wish you strength and courage too baggs and also of course for Cornergran and her DH and SueD for her son.
soop Once you are used to your new prescription, I’m sure you’ll feel more like your normal self.
Dear Baggs I am sending you (((hugs))) and holding your family in my thoughts and prayers
ann lovely scenery-pleased I do not have to mow it.
Sorry I do not pray but my thoughts are with you.
soop the fawn is gorgeous- have you had another 4 legged visitor recently?
TOYA
Dear Baggs I think of you and your darling daughter every single day, I can’t imagine what you’re going through xx
I hope your son’s results are good SueDonim, motherhood is not for the faint hearted. I worry so much about my nephews and nieces, I imagine it’s far more intense for a parent.
I’m so glad you are enjoying a break annsixty, you’ve certainly earned it.
Apologies for everyone I haven’t mentioned, TOYA ❤️
Baggs - I have no words that would do justice to your situation but can assure you of my prayers and positive vibes for you and your family
Baggs, I’m just sending much love for you all. Xxx
Dear Baggs, I'm joining my prayers to yours and those from Soop and the kitchen folk.
Hoping and praying for you and yours, SueD and her DS, Cornergran and MrC, and all who are worried about/ caring for poorly loved ones. 🙏💕🙏💕🙏💕🙏
Sending love and prayers for your loved ones Baggs and Suedonim and for peace and courage for yourselves.
Oh Baggs. We weep with you but from afar. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Dear Baggs Please may your prayer bring you comfort and strength and peace of mind.
Thinking of you Baggs may your prayers be answered.🌹
Hoping for the very best outcome for your son Sue.
Baggs I sincerely hope your prayer is answered ❤️
Oh Baggs massive apologies crossed posts, sending you ❤️❤️❤️
I really like that house llfl and the garden path with the archway too, lovely pictures, thanks for sharing
I unexpectedly got invited round to DD2s this morning , I’d not planned on going out but of course when she messaged I jumped at the chance. I’ve not seen them much recently as they’ve all been away so I’ve missed seeing the DGC. We had a cuppa and a good catch up and heard all about their holidays etc. Eldest DGS aged 9 is off to tomorrow to ScotJam for the week. It’s the annual Cub Scout camp at Lochgoilhead. It’s his second year there, last year he had an amazing time so he’s looking forward to doing it all again
The sun has just come out here so I think I’ll be pottering in the garden this afternoon
Good idea to keep hibernating this week corner keeping everything crossed for you both
Soop and Blossoming 💐
Oh Baggs. I am so sorry for your situation. 🌹Sometimes I find it hard to find the right words in these situations but at least you are talking about it, which a lot wouldn’t.
Greetings, Kitcheners. Today I have done a towel wash and hung it out. This involved swearing at clegs that wanted to attack me. At least the northeasterly wind meant the midges stayed away.
I have made a red velvet cake with actual beetroot and washed-up the megamess.
I have done a cryptic crossword, swabbed the bathroom decks (so to speak), looked at MrB's photos from Switzerland where he is travelling with a couple of long-standing uni mates, felt sad about the cancelling of the Hogwarts Express (because people can't be trusted, apparently, not to open train doors when it is in motion – give me strength!) and I have congratulated BTDD's partner on completing his mountain marathon to raise funds for Willow Wood Hospice in Greater Manchester. He has raised more than five times his target. BTDD may die there.
And so I have wept. Again. And fervently, I pray, Give Me Strength.
