Anyone else fed up with North Easterly wind flow?

I realise this will just be a comment that affects those of us who live in the East of England but is anyone else fed up and worn out with this constant north easterly wind. I’m putting the fire on every evening and still feeling I need to dress like winter during the day in spite of the sunshine! It’s starting to make me feel a bit depressed and I know if the wind changes direction and it gets too hot I’ll be complaining about that too 😂 but I’m just so cold all of the time! Anyone else fed up with it?

We get teased here in West Yorkshire! Yesterday was warm but it is overcast today so back to jeans and a jumper! We cannot plan anything and I think this is the longest coldest winter for a long time even though I had a month in Oz and NZ 😮
Going to Northumberland on Saturday, my happy place, but it looks a cool forecast ! Hey ho at least we have water and no bush fires to worry about but the allotment is very dry! Strange times !!

We live on the Essex coast and it is really cold today. The wind has been fierce all weekend and doesn't looking like abating any time soon. Roll on summer !!!!

s somerset. Beautiful sun keeping the house warm and enticing me outside, then I went outside and it was a cold unpleasant wind. So cold and gusty that I decided not to go on my cycle ride

Very drying for pot plants, depth below ground soil shoule be ok, at least here in somerset, as it rained almost every day for weeks

Yep ,live in Clacton on the coast & the wind is relentless at the moment, its June in 2 days & can't believe I'm still wearing jumpers & a coat. Really starting to get me down. 😡

Here in North Devon we've had a lovely sunny week but the wind is strong and cool.

It never ceases to amaze me just how localised weather can be. Some in the NE saying how cold it is while others in the NE (like me) are saying they've enjoyed warm sunshine.

Mind you, it's always chilly at night up here, even in the height of summer. Warm summer nights were something I missed when I moved from south to notth..

We are in Mid Devon this week. Beautiful sunny blue skies but a really chilly wind.

It's been pretty windy here in the south east for the past few days, particularly today, tress that screen the back of our garden outside our fence have been chucking pieces of wood, onto our lawn, forever picking them up. When we had the warm sunny spell a week or so ago, although it still is sunshine intermittently, consigned my ankle boots to the back of the wardrobe and got my summer sliders out, but having to wear socks around the house in the evening shock Warmer tomorrow apparently!

I love in the north west it's been 24° in my living room since Thursday during the day at the moment it's 21°. And I don't live far from the sea .

I live in NE England about 3miles from the coast and i think weather is just right - not cold and not hot. Rain isnt an issue as i would have 12 dog legs to dry after each walk so i would definitely notice. Ive sat in the garden quite a bit even finding some shade and walked the dogs without wearing a jacket. I wish it would remain like this all year round. There is a slight breeze but not what i would define as windy. Im happy!

I live in the North East and the weather is miserable just now.
Sunny in the mornings but cold after about 1pm.
having to wear a woollen jumper in the evening.
One consolation is the fact that my NDN are prevented from having their constant garden parties which usually go on all day this time of the year. The noise and mess they create is not missed at all.

Yes I'm getting a bit bored now with the NE wind - it can be beautifully warm in the sun and as soon as you are in the shade a gust of chilly wind hits you. Still, it's an immense improvement on all the rain, and as someone else pointed out at least it dries the washing.

Pittcity Mon 29-May-23 16:26:29

Lovely for drying washing though!

It's playing havoc with my hay fever as it's dry too and blowing the allergens around.
I've also lost the heads off my poppies as soon as they bloom.
I'm not complaing about the temperature though as I don't like heat.

Having watched This Morning out of curiosity to see what all the fuss is about
Managed about hour's worth of viewing before I turned it off. Of course, Philip Schofield and Holly W weren't presenting, but I can't see why viewers are so enamoured with the programme.
Probably, me not being able to get involved with presenters after an hour

We have a hosepipe ban here, which means watering cans for the new plants. Blooming nuisance. .. excuse the pun.

Here in North Bucks it is cloudy with a really cold easterly wind. No sitting in the garden today. The last week has been dry and sunny but icy in the shade. My poor plants are all sulking with the extremes in temperature, most unusual.

Aldom

It's a chilly day here (Oxfordshire) this morning. But the sun is shining.
The past three days have been extremely hot. I've had to come indoors mid afternoon. Far too hot, even under the sun shade.

I also live in Oxfordshire, and agree it has been too hot. My patio is sheltered and the maximum temperature has been around 29C in the shade every day recently. Factor 50 has been put to good use and short sleeves and cropped trousers unearthed, although have changed into warmer clothes for the evenings.
Much more comfortable today, got lots of gardening done.

Windier here in S Hampshire today, it has a keen edge to it.

henetha Mon 29-May-23 11:27:35

It was too hot for me here in Devon yesterday. But today there is a slight breeze, from the east I think, and it's better. The nights are still a bit chilly too.

I am not sure anyone is complaining. Just describing the weather they are having, which has been exceptional this year.

BlueBelle Mon 29-May-23 11:20:34

I never complain about it being too hot; love it when it happens me too Smileless I ve just come in frozen so having a coffee and hot water bottle for half an hours sit down 😂😂😂
