Good Morning Everyone,
Its a nice bright sunny start here in brackley this morning.
Today, I will go to Bicester on the bus , today will see it running for the last time under its current service number ,as of Monday a different number and more frequent service , instead of Covid timings.
My plan a breakfast sarnie, plus shop and later go and gett a Chinese Take Away .
Take Care,
Mick

Gingster, I cut DHs hair in the garden the other day ( no cleaning up),
I somehow managed to cut off part of his eyebrow! blush

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. High cloud in South Yorkshire but it’s dry. I cut the front lawn yesterday and it was tough going but very satisfying. Today I’m making two curries - one veggie - for tomorrow when DD and the menfolk are coming over. I woke up in the middle of the night and the led lights in the mirror in the main bathroom were on. I don’t use that bathroom since I had my hip replaced so I’m puzzled as to how that happened. You have to wave your hand down the side of it. Weird.
Lovely photo Baubles!
Urms and her DH are in my thoughts. As has been said, chemo is punishing, not just for the recipients, but for their carers💐.
Have the best day you can folks.

Morning all,

A quick pop to local shops, then I have a date with my sofa and kindle 🤣

Sorry Gingster sending my condolences 💐

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Good morning from an overcast Oxfordshire, hopefully the sun will come out later.
I blitzed the house yesterday, satisfying, but I’m a bit stiff and sore today.
Trip to the chemist this morning for prescriptions and then I will scrub the outdoor tables and chairs, if it’s sunny they will dry quickly.
My thoughts are with Urms and her DH.
Some nice photos on here today.
Hope everyone with illness has a better day today.

Good Morning from a mostly sunny S Yorks.

Quiet day planned today, just a the gym a bit later and a phone call with DS.

Yesterday walked round our lovely Bot Gardens and found the cafe is re-opening at last, most welcome.

Will have Urms and her DH in my thoughts today and a tough time for other gransnetters flowers

Have the best days possible.

Good morning everyone.
We had a good journey back from Devon yesterday so unpacking and laundry to do today and a local shop. Maybe a bit of weeding in te garden.
We had a lovely time with the family other than at least one person being poorly each day. A 24 hour bug we think. So far all the younger members have had it. Three eldest (me, DH and MIL) have hopefully missed it.

A good day wished for all.

Morning all from the Oxford Tube which is just setting off from Oxford! First, I drove to the next village and parked my car in a lay-by. Caught a bus to Oxford which has to stop short of the bus station as the road is blocked off. A fifteen minute walk to said bus station, where I am now on the bus to London and will get off at Victoria. Two short tube trips and then I’ll meet my daughter for lunch before going to the theatre. Phew. Everything will be in reverse for the return journey except I hope OH can pick me up from the bus station…
Best wishes and prayers for the Urms.💐

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. It’s a lovely sunny morning.

Sending belated birthday wishes to Hulahoop hope you enjoyed your birthday yesterday. 💐

Urms and her DH are in my thoughts as they go through such a difficult time💐

Gingster your photo brought back memories of lockdown and attacking DHs hair with the clippers in the garden. I’m under orders never to come near him again😂

Harris I love Menorca so much. If I could ever have a holiday home that’s where I’d want it to be.

Today we are going to Lakeland in Beverley to look at Airfryers. We are thinking of getting one but no idea where we will put it in the kitchen.
Tonight we are looking after our little ladies while DD and SIL have a well deserved night out together.

Have a lovely day everyone and enjoy the sunshine🌻🌻

Good morning all. I am extremely tired atm despite sleeping in the last week. 2 days of back to back childcare left me worn out but I love it all the same. Yesterday we went to the Royal Bath & West show with DD2 and family which was really busy. Walked 12,000 steps over the day with the smalls taking turns in the push chair. Highlight for GS (2) was being able to sit on a tractor (he’s obsessed with them). GD (4) loved her ride on a carnival horse on merry go round. BBQ today at DD2’s with the other Grandparents.

I’m sorry to hear Urm’s DH is so unwell at present. My thoughts are with them. Hope poorly daughters continue to improve. Wish the keen NE wind would disappear.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
DD left yesterday and I popped into town shopping and had my nails done, violet! Not sure what to think, but a change.
Today by train to Chester for lunch and meet up with DF who is greatly troubled by his macular degeneration/cataracts. He is in a state of anxiety, poor man. I’m taking some sheet music as we have a classical concert together. It’s not till September and I hope he’ll be up to it.

Thoughts to Urms and her DH and anyone with worries.

Good morning from a bright, not quite wall to wall sunshine yet, Essex by the sea.
I'm thinking of Urms and her DH, Gingster and her family and Marydoll. So many going through tough times at the moment.
We had a lovely evening at the yacht club yesterday. I'm getting to know more of the ladies and a very friendly bunch they are too.
Today we are off to get the buns for the BBQ tomorrow and DH wants to purchase a dongle to use on the boat.
This evening there is a live band at the yacht club so another late night.
Enjoy Saturday everyone and let's hope the sun shines for us all xxx

Good Morning all from sunny
Harrogate
Thank you for keeping us updated on Urms GrandMattie. I’m sorry for what you are going through Mr &MrsUrms - I miss our chat about the railway station. You have to go with your gut feeling and do what you want Marydoll. Fortunately strange cuttings of eyebrows are fashionable!
Lovely photos ladies!
Yesterday tookDGS to Horticap which is a charity run garden centre. He enjoyed the nature trail, as hopefully the photo will show. Apart from baking, no idea what we are doing today

Gwenisgreat1 Sat 03-Jun-23 09:08:11

Oops didn’t get the photo out!

Good morning from the sunny south coast.
I woke up early, very achy and stiff (osteoarthritis). I may have overdone the garden tidy up yesterday. It’s not a good idea to leave a garden to its own devices for the month of May.

Today will be watering and a bit more bindweed wrangling. I will go to the beach for a while if it’s not too windy.

So sorry that Marydoll is having such a hard time.
Thoughts with Urms and her DH.

Mick it’s good to hear of a bus service that’s being improved. Taichinan, I like the sound of your ‘not’ neat and tidy garden 🙂

Gwenisgreat1 Sat 03-Jun-23 09:11:30

Photo 3rd time lucky?

luluaugust Sat 03-Jun-23 09:35:50

Good morning from a grey W Kent. Yesterday was unexpectedly busy as DGD came and did some revision for GCSE with us as her house is noisy with an extension going on. We then had lunch out and picked up my hearing aid batteries, this is quite a sociable event as a cafe runs alongside once a month.
Shopping today and then hopefully the sun will appear as it has been doing around midday.
Urmston and her DH are in my thoughts.
Condolences to Gingster
Marydoll I hope you get the medicine sorted out soon and see Dollie
Best wishes to all

ShazzaKanazza Sat 03-Jun-23 09:37:27

I love the photo of your GS Gwen he certainly looks like he’s having fun. X

Gransnet keeps tuning me out so that I have to keep resetting my password. Very frustrating and I don’t know why I seem to be persona non grata!

Anyway, after yet another fiddle with passwords I can report a beautiful morning, the washing on, prescriptions collected and a quiet day ahead. Loving sympathetic thoughts to Marydoll, Urms and Gingster and anyone else having a tough time. I am learning to embrace and enjoy my mostly dull life as a perfectly reasonable way to be at my age. Makes any excitement all the more enjoyable too.

Good Morning from a sunny Co Armagh
I was up early watering plants , it was so peaceful and quiet , no traffic noise, even the birds seemed subdued , then I went back indoors and put in my hearing aids !
Marydoll I have flowers at last on the tomatoes ! Very tiny and hidden , but they are starting! These are a selection packet of cherry tomatoes , I’ve no idea which are which as they were all in the one packet , seems they don’t need much water till the fruit appears
The Urms are in my Prayers list (too many to name them all)

mamaa Sat 03-Jun-23 10:08:14

Don’t post often but wanted to add my own thoughts regarding those going ‘through the mill’ at the moment- Urms and himself Marydoll Gingster and anyone else with worries and concerns. Sending flowers wish I could give in person. X

Good morning Mick and everyone from warm sunny Carlisle.
I've just got back from Sainsbury's with a small top up shop.

I was busy planting out in the garden yesterday. Today I think I'll just sit and look at it. I'm awaiting the delivery of a new expanding hose, my old one exploded yesterday evening, went with a bang!

I'm very sorry to hear of poor MrUrms trials, I was hoping he wasn't suffering too much from his treatment. My thoughts with you both.

Wishing all the best possible day.

Grandmachrisy47 Sat 03-Jun-23 11:27:15

Thinking of Urms and her dh, condolences Gingster, Marydoll hope you feel better soon.
After two days of peace, dgd is back with us today till her mum and dad return tomorrow.
Hope the sun shines for everyone.

Good morning from a hot Siberia. I have had a jam packed day including going to an enormous country park.
Hope your Saturday is as fun as my day was.

Greyduster Sat 03-Jun-23 12:02:41

Glad you seem to be settling into your new situation. Best of luck with it all👏.

CaroleAnne Sat 03-Jun-23 16:00:16

So sorry to hear that Mr Urms is so poorly.and am thinking about them both in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that the chemotherapy is not to onerous.
My best wishes Carole.thanks
