Gingster. That is a scam. They are using chatbots who hear a voice on social media and can imitate it within a few seconds. The chatbots get various details from these social sites and then ring someone up and make a money request. The person getting the call `recognises` the voice and believe it is genuine

Good morning, s somerset will be breezy, a little cooler but still warm.

It does sound as though you have a potential friend upstairs GM, I hope it turns out well

My group yesterday was lovely, I have friends in the making, chatty and friendly and such a good laugh, especially from the oldest two there

No plans today apart from a walk to the shops as I need a few things

Have a lovely day

Good morning from Shropshire.

A busy day at home yesterday.DH worked in the garden while I caught up with laundry and housework and started packing for our holiday.

Today we are off to Stafford to collect B from school. We will take the scenic route and stop for a picnic en route.

Big news of the day is that our little H has a taster session at school this morning! He will be starting afternoons in September. We had all worried about him going to school and how they would cope with his allergies but he is so good at knowing what he can and can’t eat and if he isn’t sure he will ask.

Hope you feel better soon Grandmabatty.I find the effervescent paracetamol good for a sore throat.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩🌺

Good morning all from cool South Lanarkshire. It promises to be sunny later.

Yesterday was a guddly day at work as I had a morning full of Teams meetings, thankfully I also had a lovely volunteer who dealt with the customers while I was occupied.

I spent a relaxing, sunny hour in the garden with my book in the early evening, so good after a busy day.

Sending good wishes to all especially those having a difficult time.

Good morning all and it’s grey here in Essex.
Yesterday morning was very cold as I took little gd to school. We shivered in the playground.

I had a strange request from an elderly lady Bridge club player.
She said she’s in hospital with arthritis and wanted me to purchase 2 apple gift vouchers for £100 each. I’m not particularly close to her and I know she has many friends and family. I tried for about an hour without success for one reason or another, and then phoned another bridge lady who said ‘I think it’s a scam’ .

The e mails from her were persistent and quite demanding. She is a lady not to be crossed. Oh dear! I’ll find out more today.

School run today and hopefully bridge club this afternoon. 🤞.

Thanks Marydoll.

Hoping you all have a pleasant day 🌸

Good morning from an overcast NE.
It was cool indoors yesterday and at bedtime I had to put my bedsocks on before I could fall asleep.
Spent most of yesterday just reading my novel, trouble is I tend to fall asleep when I get comfy on the sofa.
Nothing planned for today so will just take it easy.
Thoughts are with poorly people and carers.

Good morning from a dull and breezy Torbay.

A few local friends were thrilled by the Air Show which took place here at the weekend. One of the reasons we decamped to my retreat was to avoid the the hullabaloo involved. The noise, pollution, not least due to visitors having to drive here due to the rail strike, plus the expense which Torbay Council can ill afford! They would argue that it brings revenue to businesses here. The only growth here is in the number of food banks and charity shops.

Good to here you are resuming your activities, Mizuna, in the only sunny corner of the UK so far it seems! It sounds like your son is doing well, Ladyleftfieldover; you must be justifiably proud of him. Your DS has visited at just the right time, grandMattie!

Keep smiling, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Morning Mick, morning All. Cloudy start to our corner of Somerset. Sunshine due later.

Enjoyed yesterdays bus trip, plenty of fresh air on top of the bus grin. Plodded on with the admin. Nearly there with the insurance.

Nothing exciting today. Grocery delivery, hair cut and dust removal this morning. Heading for the computer this afternoon.

Hope all goes smoothly today grandmattie. Very dry here too mizuma, grass turning yellow. We’ll be complaining about rain soon enough I’m sure. Congratulations to your son ladylfl. Safe trip oops and anyone else on the move.

Hope there’s something in the day to raise a smile for us all.

Good morning from yet another sunny day in Cornwall. Some rain would come in handy. Back to my knitting group at a community cafe by the sea today. Haven't been since February due to ill health so am very happy to be seeing everyone again. The 10 of us have become close friends. Had better find something to knit, a pheasant methinks, on small needles and easy to pop into my backpack.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I think today will be an admin day plus I need to make some more lemon ice cream. It’s a family favourite and we’ve run out. OH is out this afternoon and evening. Oh, we had good news from younger son last night. Having had promotion in his Civil Service job, he has been given further promotion before he had even started! He will be in the Policy Division of the Ministry he works for in Westminster. I’ve an urge to try a new pasta recipe tonight - spaghetti with garlic, cream and parsley. Have a good day.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and cloudy. It took ages to burn off yesterday and the day was quite cold. I hope for better weather today. Grandmattie good luck with all the deliveries etc today. Oopsadaisy enjoy your trip.
Yesterday was a busy day entertaining a grumpy toddler. A walk to the swings, a walk to the motorway to wave at cars and a blether to neighbours. One man thought it would be funny to spray us with his hosepipe as he was washing his car, but I guessed he was up to something so crossed over the road. He's rather annoying and I avoid where possible.
Today I'll take dgs2 to the park I think. I have a really sore throat and a cold but it will do us good to get out for a while. Have a good day all

Good morning Mick , GM and all who follow from a breezy Oxfordshire, yesterday was dull, cold and windy, let’s hope we see some sunshine today.
Last minute cleaning and packing for our trip early tomorrow morning, I can leave the fridge as MissOops will be in and out whilst we are away.
Have a good day everyone and hope all those with cares, stress and illness will have an easier time.

grandMattie Tue 06-Jun-23 06:01:16

Good morning from an overcast Bristol. I don’t think it’ll be either sunny or warm today.
My trip to town went well, my glasses adjusted to my satisfaction. But, no, I didn’t go into any shop,; I just went in and out. I have too much stuff ATM.
In the afternoon, I did my 25 minute trek to Waitrose for food - only grocery shops here are a tiny Coop and the small Waitrose.
While there, got a call from DS asking about pruning a grapevine! He then proposed coming for the night tonight. I have various deliveries and collections today and tomorrow where his help, mostly muscular, would be very helpful.
Upstairs neighbour came for a cuppa. She’s a very nice lady.
Today, I’ve got my Ikea delivery, and need to sort out the access to living room…
Hope everyone has a good day, poorlies, unhappy, anxious… Carpe diem 🦩❤️🦩🦩🦩
